I've sent the PMs out to the mid atlantic locals about this. We tried this last year, and got rained out, possibly due to the universe trying to spite me personally.


Pyro said he's in for this, and I've gotten four maybes otherwise. Cid/OK/Shale, what are good weekends for you for this?

I don't have any real specific plans for most of the summer. Ask other people, throw dates at me.

There is a Busch Gardens Europe in Williamsburgh, Virginia. The one in Tampa is for Africa IIRC.

Yeah, Shale's out for early July as well and I need to recover some after my trip.

Possible dates: July 12th, July 19th, July 26th. Thoughts? Any of these would work for me, and Pyro/Shale signed off on those dates as well. Cid? OK? Xer?

Those are all Mondays, eh? Getting days off is kind of a bitch at my office and I'd already planned to use a couple days of my very limited PTO for my birthday in August. Mrf.

Getting Mondays off is not especially easy for me, as I have night work on all of them. Friday-Sunday fits a lot better.

Er. Fuck. July 10th, 17th, 24th. I had the June Calender pulled up at the time. (The last three saturdays in July)

Same plan as before, make it a weekend thing since that's easiest for most people.

Sooner than I thought :/ The later it is in the month, the more possible it would be for me. No way would the 10th work.

We're also so playing Arkham horror.

Edit: 49 if you want to buy the tickets ahead of time. I have to buy them at the local hospital.  Shale/Donna already confirmed they want me to do that. Cid/Pyro/Xer, how about you? If I buy them ahead of time, I  need the cash back during the trip. (OK you need to come, slacker)

Food- I'm probably going to do the all day special (23 dollars and you get unlimited food/drink pretty much), otherwise expect to pay NYC airport prices for food. Forecast is saying it will be hot as welll.

Oh yeah, I also have DL trivia if you all want to do a dry run of that with me for DLC.

Loaner stuff- I am returning Pyro's Wii and games and 360 cord and Cid's copy of GGAccent core. I'm also getting back my GC from Cid and my copy of DQ4 from Shale, and borrowing American Gods from Cid.

...The distance between Atlanta and Williamsburg is about the same as the distance between Vancouver and Calgary.  So...no, not driving that.

Yeah, it's a 15 hour car ride. Flying is probably cheapier anyway.

Is it?  Driving distance is 577 miles according to a quick internet search.  1154 miles both ways.  35 MPG highway says that's about 35 Gallons, and it's about $2.7 for a gallon right now, so...$100?  (Not counting wear-and-tear).  By comparison, a quick search on round-trip flights says those tickets are $350.
