You know you're going to have a good day at Busch Gardens when you get to ride the tilt o Whirl twice in a row thanks to zero lines.  On a related note, it being like 105 on the heat index was good for something!

Well, everyone just headed out the door, so I guess that concludes things...

Super: Is Super. Seemed to be in better spirits than normal and very much enjoyed the Arkham game. Don't think he much liked the exciting BG rides, although watching him go under every waterfall on Roman Water Rapids was great. Also almost crushed me on the Tradewind/teacups because I chose a poor seat. Ow. My leg. Super I see pretty often, so we may even head to BG again sometime this summer since we have the summer passes.

Shale: Shale is always in good spirits. Generally seemed like he had fun on stuff, almost lost his hat twice (one on the Loch-ness rollercoaster, once on the Tradewind. Shale is of course badass because he loaned me Ace Attorney Investigations. Borrowed ToV, Blue Dragon, Soul Nomad, and Odin Sphere from me. Goooooooood tastes there. He liked the rollercoaster ride.

Donna: Was pretty quiet and didn't speak with her much, but Shale and her seem to get on really well. Not a gamer, but she demonstrated incredible patience! Seemed to be a rollercoaster fan.

Cid: Cid is always reserved, so it's hard to figure out what he liked and didn't like. Seemed to enjoy the Arkham game, and wasn't bothered too much by the rollercoaster, I think. Borrowed Nier and Demon's Souls for post-apocalyptic PS3 goodness.

Xer: Xer is a unique fellow. He really DIDN'T enjoy the rollercoaster ride, which is a shame but  so it goes. Seemed to enjoy talking and playing a lot though, so it worked out. Borrowed Okami, Atelier Iris 2, and Dragon Quest 8.

I liked the Loch Ness Monster, though it was the first amusement park ride I've ridden in over a decade. A little nervousness is perfectly fine!

Arkham horror was *extremely* badass as expected. It benefited from having a smaller group than usual to play with.

Friday- We all just got in, said hello and watched some games.  Pretty simple. I talked a fair bit with Donna and Shale in the car.

Saturday- Busch Gardens! We got to the park around noon that day. The park was pretty, and we had good luck with lines. Why? It was so blisteringly hot the entire time. It was over around 105 with the heat index as I said before, and there is a giant water park nearby. We get into the park and head straight for Scotland. I went on the Loch Ness Monster and had a fairly good time in spite of being scared silly by the ride. Much thanks to Cid for being my seatmate.  We then went to Italy, where people got drinks. Our next ride was the teacups. Four adults in a teacup equals both pain and hilarity, and Xer is going to die for taking photos. We then ride the tilt a whirl twice in a row, which results in getting smashed. From there it was time to cool off, so we head to the roman rapids. That had a longer line than the giant roller coasters in the heat, but only took us about a half hour of waiting to get to. I got completely fucking *soaked* from head to toe thanks to the stupid rapids spinning me around at the best (worst) possible time. I wouldn't mind if my shoes hadn't gotten it as well. It was then time for lunch! I had a burger and fries with iced tea. Grossly overpriced at 12 dollars for the meal? Yes, but the food was pretty good. We then wandered through the park, saw some of the nature preserve stuff (Bald Eagles and wolves), then headed for the bumper car area. At this point everyone was pretty whipped, so we head back. I get split up from the group as no one heard me say I had to renew my season pass. That sucked. I ride back with Shale/Donna, get a double gulp and OD on soda.

Everyone takes a shower and gets cleaned up. Pyro makes a subway run while Cid and I set up Arkham Horror. We managed to somehow win the game in spite of being horribly dicked over by the first environment card. No gate sealing? BURN IN HELL GAME. Monsters were at least trivial, minus Xer missing 19/20 rolls and getting put in the hospital by a vampire. Anyway, Arkham rules as I said.

Sunday-  Get up, eat, Smash! Cid wanted to head out by noon, as did Shale/Donna. we played smash for 45ish minutes, then get packed up and leave.

Pyro did a great job at hosting, and it was good to see the rest. Nice meeting Donna too.

Was Loch Ness Monster all you rode? Alpengeist is a much smoother ride and probably edges out Loch Ness Monster for best coaster at the park. Drachenfire is sort of fun too, but it's sort of oldschool as far as steel coasters go. It WAS the first one to have a camel hump though...

I never did get on Big Bad Wolf. It started storming while we were on line, so we left to eat when they shut down the ride. When it stopped, we got back on line, but right before we got on it started storming again and we decided to just leave. By all accounts it's pretty tame and would have been a better introduction for Xer.

For the roller coasters, yeah. We didn't really go on any rides after the roman rapids. No one was really up for it, and I'll be back sometime this summer to try the rest.

People wanted to take it easy after lunch (zero-G drops plus overfull stomach = baaaaaaad move), and by the time I felt up to another coaster (Alpengeist looked great) we were getting ready to leave. Would've probably stayed longer if we weren't with the group, but eh. Had lots of fun regardless.

I feel bad for Shale because I think he wanted to go on more rides. I will be able to go back anytime this month or next for free, so no loss for me really.

The game of Arkham was interesting to watch. I can play it next time if I'm at a DLCon or meet.
