The Fate (Shadow hearts Covenant) vs. Nanako's 'Death' (Persona 4)- Nanako's death scene is a little two hammy to really work well.  The Bell Tolls meanwhile... well, there's a reason people hype Kato as one of the most compelling villains.

The Fate (Shadow hearts Covenant) vs. Nanako's 'Death' (Persona 4) - I personally only feel the Nanako scene works if you actually continue on to get the bad ending. And if you do, holy crap that was depressing and I was genuinely sad. SH2 scene is less dependent on the situation, but I didn't feel quite as moved by it, for all that it's a strong scene too.
Wedding (Lufia II) ( vs. Death of Fear (Wild ARMs XF) - Personally, for Maxim/Selan stuff, I would have preferred the mirror of truth scene.

STYLE:

The Power's In His Beard (Tales of the Abyss)  vs. Roger in a Cage (Star Ocean 3) - Just a really great representation of the chemistry of the TotA crew, combined with absurdity and manliness factor. Really wish it was voice-acted.
