Ha, this is like, the most undeatiled thing I have ever written. This post has more detail than a chapter. I actually went back and added details to my latest chapter so I could hit 15k.

I, meanwhile, squeaked in at just under 2k which is pretty awesome considering what a fail day it has been. -_-

Word sprints are for weekends. Also, I actually -like- this story idea and I'm having a hard time pushing myself to keep going when what I really want to do is go back and make sure everything works.

But I'm treating this as a "draft zero"/extended notes writing session, so that helps.

Also: Composing in Scrivener for Windows is very

right now. I think it is being relegated to formatting status. I like it for organizing, but it seems to keep locking up when I want to type in it. I'll look into that tomorrow.

Feeling pretty good! I'm at about 3500 for today and going to coast easily past the finish line for today's goal of 1667. Trying to work ahead because I know there will be plenty of work days where I won't have the time to write like I do now.

Really loving this story I'm writing, too, though it's kind of silly. I haven't done this much sustained writing in a long time. It feels good.

Broke the 10,000 mark. pretty darn proud of myself right now. Steadily ahead, despite my misgivings about the story. I'm positive I'd have much less words if I didn't turn off my inner editor. A lot of lines come out, make me cringe and want to rewrite them but resisting means I actually progress and get things done. So far so good, though.

Finally found an idea I think can go the distance without my inner editor going berserk.

Of course, this means that I'm currently at a grand total of 343 words. Hopefully I'll have some free time to blast forward on the weekend.
