Ignoring SaGa insane mechanics for a second, but doesn't Glass Shield only work on physical attacks?  Same with Godless?  And the other similar skills?  Doesn't that kind of mean...uh...magic/pseudomagic works fine?  I'm 99.9976555465468769876767896796976111% sure that Vermillion Sand and other attacks pierce it fine - it just is weapon-based attacks that get hit by it.

Weisheit (XF) vs Asellus (SaGa): The strategy Super puts forward is amusing, but I don't think Asellus has the JP to make it work. I probably see her very poor in the stat indeed since training in magic hurts physical stats a fair deal relatively, and she won't want to do that for the vast majority of fights where her only use for magic is tossing out a Fascination. Even if I give her a lot, though... she needs to cast it so many times, it costs 5 JP... just doubt it's going to work unless you see her 2HKOing Weis or something like that. I definitely don't.
Millenia (G2) vs Rubicant (FF4): Yup.

Heavy:

1-Wren (PS4) vs Lyon (S5): Barrier and death immunity are bad news (definitely don't see Setting Sun as the mech-killing type).
Lilka Eleniak (WA2) vs Lucian (VP1): Yeah, her evade buff isn't good enough for turn 1.
Sharon (LoL2) vs Alex (Lunar:SSSC): Turn 2 charm if she doesn't just 2-round.
Queen Zeal (CT) vs 3-Shadow (FF6): Shadow is probably 2HKOed by Hexagon Mist or something embarrassing. At worst, though, 3HKOed and he doesn't even come close to outslugging that. He could take a crazy GRAVITY ROD stall strategy but it makes his speed and durability even worse (2HKO feels near certain now) so no.

Middle:

1-Rudy Roughknight (WA1) vs Warlock (S4): Think he tanks an EQ. Might just OHKO anyway, Warlock HP was pretty bad and I don't have the same respect for Jack's/Ceci's damage as the stat topic due to no runes.
Flare (S4) vs L'Arachel (FE8): Don't think Flare has enough shots of healing to double twice. Flare fans, I know you're out there, convince me I'm wrong, I'm lazy.
Lucia (Lunar:EBC) vs Jessica Philomele (MK): She had some timed card stuff, right? (besides healing) Something that would overpower Lucia? Break damage I probably see working eventually, at worst.
Rouge (Saga) vs 4-Tengaar (Suikos): ... riiight, Jet Boots were storebought. Somehow I never knew until now that Saga walled earth. -10 speed to get it, though. Tengaar has some crazy argument involving the now stupidly slow Rouge, spamming Vengeful Child to earn doubles, and hitting his now pathetic durability 3 times or so to win. That's... um... actually surprisingly reasonable, especially if Implosion isn't turn 1 (I'm really not sure, felt kinda borderline 1-2...). I dunno!

Light:

1- Zappa (CC) vs Louise (FE7): Surely. Zappa is decentish.

Heh, practically nothing I can vote in this week aside from Zeal > Shadow.  However, no votes on Weisheit vs. Asellus, but I will say that I definitely don't let bosses "pass" if they don't do this in-game.  So if Asellus's Glass Shield hype is go I'd definitely see Weisheit as being forced to follow up with Rank of Death and smash himself rather than just chill with charge-up moves.  Of course there's always FELIUS DUEL FORM to get around this but yeah no.

Snowfire: Just for clarity's sake, Weisheit isn't triggering a counter here (Glass Shield blocks everything, but only counters melee), so whether you let him pass is moot. He's wasting the turn if Glass Shield is up, but the turn isn't hurting him otherwise.

She has to double more than once, though. She's only 3HKOing (even against L'Arachel pdur, S4 physicals just aren't any good) and she certainly isn't hitting L'Arachel's silly evade stats 3 times in 3 shots. So she needs to double at least twice, which means with only five shots of healing she needs to get 9 turns before L'Ara gets 7.

Which apparently she does at +1.24. I'm a little skeptical that she's actually that to me since that's only with the Tai Chi Garb and quite a lot of PCs can use that, and you know my opinion of that kind of average mucking. Unfortunately, looks like I actually need to figure this out to know how to vote, because Flare's accuracy is just enough to make the kill in 4 shots (54% chance that 3 of them land, if we drop L'Arachel's evade by 12). Too lazy to do so right now, also awaiting more arguments that might make it moot. <_<

Some more thoughts on L'Arachel vs. Flare.

Flare has some MT magic damage, which would suck on L'Arachel but would get around the counters bit at least.. Could be used on turns where she isn't doubling but doesn't want to bother healing? She could also go for Sleep in those situations, although L'Arachel reduces magic status by like 50% (gogo mage Res). That'd be pretty nasty if it landed though. Not sure what the base rate is, but if it is like 85% then that's turn 3 on L'Arachel... Not sure.

(it also gets kinda bad for L'Arachel if you use crits in the fire Emblem average, and we are already doing that for Suikoden average here anyway no?)

Looking on it, if you allow EXAs...Rouge is slow enough to be EXA'd - he's 5 >'s below average, which is pretty massive. 

Granted, Overdrive+Stasis Rune Combo wins that anyway, but if you're looking at just base speed, he probably loses that way.
