Godlike:

Arnaud (WA4) vs Ryu (BoF3)

Heavy:

Marcello (DQ8) vs Freyjadour (S5)- Slows down Marcello's offense enough.
Rapp (G1) vs Edna (SH3)- Rapp sans ID is sad.

Middle:

Meru (LoD) vs Titania (FE9)- Meru almost never beats counter fighters.
Hellion (S1) vs Flay (MK)- Walled.

Light:

Kahn (BoF4) vs Cai (Brig)- Should 2HKO each other easily enough. Need to decide who goes first.
Laguna (FF8) vs Lowen (FE7)- Laguna.

Godlike:

Persephone (WA5) vs Miguel (CC): Her overkill is gratuitous, so yeah.
Arnaud (WA4) vs Ryu (BoF3): Ouch.

Heavy:

Marcello (DQ8) vs Freyjadour (S5): 2-rounds, goes first, isn't one-rounded? Works.
Rapp (G1) vs Edna (SH3): Rapp isn't in Heavy because he fights bosses, thats for sure.

Middle:

Meru (LoD) vs Titania (FE9): Sure. Counters work I guess.
Hellion (S1) vs Flay (MK): Could Flay kill her before she moves? I'll have to check on her durability/his attacks. Probably not though.

Light:

Kahn (BoF4) vs Cai (Brig): noooo idea. 2HKOing happens and whoever goes first wins? Will investigate later.
Laguna (FF8) vs Lowen (FE7): Different weapons get around limits, Lowen is better in a physical slugfest otherwise.

Godlike:

Persephone (WA5) vs Miguel (CC)- Hmm well, Miguel and CC bosses are always a bit mysterious on how to see their HP/speed combo!
Arnaud (WA4) vs Ryu (BoF3)

Heavy:

Marcello (DQ8 vs Freyjadour (S5)- Upon checking, Marcello has too much going against him. Freyja's defense+cutting 40% off all Marcy's magic+Magic cutting damage 25% in effect cancelling out Freyja's low Mdef seems him through. So does not letting Marcy spam ST only moves more than once (Meaning he can't just go for physicals and pray they hit enough)
Rapp (G1) vs Edna (SH3)

Middle:

Meru (LoD) vs Titania (FE9)- Hmm, first match where the final decision of half starting SP matters. Leaning yes, but still not 100% at that. If so, Meru takes it very easily, if not, Titania
Hellion (S1) vs Flay (MK)

Light:

Kahn (BoF4) vs Cai (Brig)
Laguna (FF8) vs Lowen (FE7)- I suppose I should check Laguna's limit smash ability

Godlike:

Persephone (WA5) vs Miguel (CC): Definitely don't buy the CC bosses with uber speed arguments, so Perse should be able to get the sick damage off. If one doesn't kill, then a followup anything will.
Arnaud (WA4) vs Ryu (BoF3): Even if Arnaud goes first, not much he can do that will matter.

Heavy:

Marcello (DQ8) vs Freyjadour (S5): Unsure.
Rapp (G1) vs Edna (SH3): Somewhat more sure.

Middle:

Meru (LoD) vs Titania (FE9): Counters and splatters.
Hellion (S1) vs Flay (MK): If Flay, who is only #3 at damage, is killing Hellion before she gets a turn then you need to recheck the damage average you're using for MK1 frankly!

Light:

Kahn (BoF4) vs Cai (Brig): Focus->punch should OHKO.
Laguna (FF8) vs Lowen (FE7): Laguna.

Erwin Schrödinger will kill you like a cat in a box.
Maybe.

It usually helps if you remember what FLOOR of a 5-floor parking garage you parked on!

Godlike:

Persephone (WA5) vs Miguel (CC) - Miguel.  Persephone clearly has some undead in her, at least 6 months out of the year...light-based damage demolishes her.
Arnaud (WA4) vs Ryu (BoF3) - Arnaud.  Charming pants kills dragon.  Jumps on Ryu's back and steers him into a cliff.

Heavy:

Marcello (DQ8) vs Freyjadour (S5) - Marcello.  Why wouldn't you let him spam his physicals?  It's something he can do in-game.
Rapp (G1) vs Edna (SH3) - Rapp.  Does some crazy rap music dancing and drives Edna even crazier with Malice, causing her to explode.

Middle:

Meru (LoD) vs Titania (FE9) - Meru.  Hey, I allow full limits for anyone...full SP for LoD too.  Attack, transform+heal, etc.  I also take levels in Fire Emblem at max, so...Titania's a little weaker here...and I don't do forging!
Hellion (S1) vs Flay (MK) - Flay.  MK2 form.

Light:

Kahn (BoF4) vs Cai (Brig) - Kahn.  Come on, why the hell is he ranked in Light?  People complained about Menardi and Lezard, but not the GODLIKE IN LIGHT!?  Even the Elf admitted his MF6 form is Godlike, so it's not just me here!
Laguna (FF8) vs Lowen (FE7) - Laguna.  MACHINE GUN KILLS HORSES LIKE IN WORLD WAR I AND II!!!!
[11:53] <+Meeple_Gorath> me reading, that's a good one

Godlike:

Persephone (WA5) vs Miguel (CC)
Arnaud (WA4) vs Ryu (BoF3) - The fact that Arnaud is even at the point where he -can- fight Ryu3 means that this new rerankings system is awesome.

Heavy:

Marcello (DQ8) vs Freyjadour (S5) - I think.
Rapp (G1) vs Edna (SH3) - See you in another 20 seasons, Rapp... ;_;

Middle:

Meru (LoD) vs Titania (FE9) - Starting SP~
Hellion (S1) vs Flay (MK) - Hellion for Middle Champ~

Light:

Kahn (BoF4) vs Cai (Brig) - I guess.
Laguna (FF8) vs Lowen (FE7) - Yeah... it's Laguna.

Rapp (G1) vs Edna (SH3) - Water resistance and speed really **** Edna over here I think. As it means Rapp should only need to heal once after Edna's combo, and also buys him the time to get a Speedy or two off if need be. 3 Demonballs and a Meteor Strike or two should be enough to KO. (3 DBs alone are around 110% kill damage.) He also has a fire based move/skill (Fireball) which could work really well here in the place of DB, and he has the SP to use it 4 times. Though i'm not 100% sure what I see its damage at, it's at least more powerful than Missile. (Missile being considerably lower level and SP use.)

1) Edna has REALLY fast recharge on her attacks.  The listed speed is actually quite misleading.

2) While yes, Edna's best damage is Water-elemental, she can still fall back on her physical and Black Hole.  It's a viable combo.

3) Edna has Mental Break, which is 20% MMP damage at the start of the afflicted character's turn.  If Rapp tries to go for offense first, he'll probably run out of gas before he can kill.  Of course, this can be made irrelevant depending on how you see Grandia SP/MP working, but it's far too confusing for me to puzzle out.  Just know that in SH3, both physical and magical moves run off MP, so...  Yeah.

4) Rapp has below-average magic resistance.  Edna is just as fast, if not faster, and two Black Holes may very well kill Rapp before he can kill her.

As an aside...  Rapp has healing?

If you allow him Mana Eggs. Don't think it really helps too much, as Grandia 1 healing didn't tend to be full (And stronger ones aren't going to be that fast).

1) Rapp is game best speed, Edna is below average. (the stat topic lists her as being "slower than Frank") I don't remember her recharge being that big an issue. It was fast, but nothing special. Not enough to overcome the disparity in speed.

2) Physical + Black Hole is only like 81% kill damage.

3) Even if you did see MB working against SP a/o more than one type of MP... There are Talismans. (100% status resistance)

4) Grandia's magic resistance is not the same as normal magic defense. It's more like status resistance. Having no magic resistance only means you're average. Faster?!??? Two Black Holes do around 88% kill damage. Rapp is basically average HP.

Yeah. Healer (L2), Alhealer+ (L3) and Heal (L1). Alhealer+ and some of the more powerful (MT) spells may have been slow. However, Healer and the other lower-mid level ST spells were not.

Do keep in mind combos boost damage output, though. I don't know if Edna has that quick-hit property on her turns after the first that Gilbert and Killer have, but that should be telling enough, and I have to note Edna can buff her magical damage too, and Surge's recovery is pretty fast. Rapp would have to 2HKO Edna to win that, and that's definitely not happening off his damage output, especially if you allow Eggs, which are likely to raise both the damage average (if nothing else, Liete gets better options) and probably raises stat levels too, since there'd be no reason to not factor magic egg growths in.

Ignoring the damage output from the combo, my point: Edna can 2TKO Rapp.

Even you said that Rapp can't 2HKO back.

It essentially boils down to this:

Turn 1: Rapp -> Demonball
Turn 2: Edna -> Black Hole

Split

Turn 3a: Rapp -> Demonball or Neo Demonball, it doesn't particularly matter
Turn 4a: Edna -> Double: Physical -> Black Hole, win

Turn 3b: Rapp -> Heal (less than full)
Turn 4b: Edna -> Black Hole (go back to step 3b until Rapp has less than 81% health even after healing)
Turn ?b: Edna -> Double: Physical -> Black Hole, win

Essentially, while allowing Mana Egg skills, Rapp has to fulfill the following conditions to win:
1) Have at least 41% (or higher, I'm not entirely completely sure on the speed difference between Edna and Rapp) healing magic that doesn't slow him down at all.
2) Get enough doubles where he can kill before he is killed himself.

From what little information I could get in terms of research, he has 95 uses of Heal, and 23 uses of Healer, if you allow him Mana Egg skills outside of what teaches him his weapon skills.

Another aside...

1) Rapp is game best speed, Edna is below average. (the stat topic lists her as being "slower than Frank") I don't remember her recharge being that big an issue. It was fast, but nothing special. Not enough to overcome the disparity in speed.

It's possible that OK was just eyeballing speeds while trying to get other numbers.  Dark Holy Elf noted later on in the topic that Edna actually has 26 Speed (as opposed to Frank's 24), and that all non-Lady/Umbral bosses have that Quick Hit property to their attacks, but possibly slower first turns.
