Scar: I got 15/17. Only one I had played and didn't get was the Suikoden one. (Missed the pokemon one)

I got 12/16. Missed Secret of Evermore, Tales of Destiny 2, BtB, and SMRPG. Have only played SMRPG of those.

Only missed the BtB question, albeit I guessed on the suiko one. The rest were all fairly clear if you've played the game.

I'm trying to find 'myself' in the least tragic way possible. I've discovered I'm very impressionable when people who just defended dissertations and/or are finished with their coursework are mildly interested in trying to decode my discursive and stuttering conversational skills. Seriously. Either I'm that 'person' that makes them look even better, or I'm severely underselling myself.

Finished both presentations for the semester. Apparently the first one was a raving success. The research process for the second one was amazingly insightful, but I ran constantly into the issue of unsupported evidence. My thesis is culled solely from extrapolating sources I don't believe I have any authority to praise or denounce considering my obvious lack of fieldwork. I have yet to receive word back from my professor as to my presentation. So, despite my semester technically ending 'active brain mode' at the end of this week, officially on the 21st of December, I'm either going to have to haul ass before my birthday on the 12lth to overhaul my paper, or I'm just going to hang with Berklee musicians, become a bohemian and live in my own little inner world.

When you were giving your presentation did you remember to do the old "hand them the sandwich" move?

The what?

So in my ongoing quest to only be five years behind the times, I got a smartphone. Now I can slack off anywhere. Woo?

It cost me one cent more than a free phone, and came with a 32-gig microSD card. I'm coming out pretty well in that deal, at least until you consider the data fees.

It's a hand gesture given while speaking. I like to use it when I am getting to the point where I talk about "societal benefit." the sandwich isn't real.

Got 15/16 for Scar's quiz. Should have gotten all 16, I put in the name of the "prequel" for the clue about that instead of the subsequent game in the series.

I have no idea why I knew about the game with the Percy clue. I am disappointed with myself, kinda.

15/16. I had to cheat to get the Suikoden tip. I feel un-nerdy.

So the pass-the-baby gesture.

If you do it one handed, it's offering someone a sandwich. I offer the sandwich because I need my other hand free to pound on the podium and/or strike it with my shoe.

I knocked a podium over once before my presentation started. I don't think sandwich handing is the best gesture, sir.

At least bang on the podium FFS. How are you gonna stir up a riot without pounding your fists and yelling things like "we will pave the road to prosperity with the bones of all who oppose us!"

You tell them they can walk the road with you or you will make them part of it.

And then, THEN, you offer them the sandwich.

Coo. Glad so many people enjoyed (hopefully) the quiz. I've made a couple other rpg oriented quizzes on that site recently too.

Making quizzes has never been this much fun!

NaNoWriMo survived, so now, with a new month, I can start on some other projects. Of course, my book (har) still has about 10-20K words left to even reach the completion of draft 0, so I'm still going to be doing that, but I've also got a blog project in the works and some other things on the burner.

You know, and gaming. I can game again.

My manager just explained to me that if circumstances were different (for example, I brought it to their attention that I had another job offer) that my transfer would have gone/would go faster.

Uh... huh.

9/16.  Never played TotA, ToD2, Beyond, or Khemia.  7th Saga, Evermore, and Chrono were too long ago for me to remember.

I inadvertently knocked a podium over due to public speaking horror. The joke was on me. ]:

Getting over shyness is the point of public speaking, and also an EarthBound fetch quest.
