Need music recommendations!

Been listening to Pandora's Club/Dance Radio genre station, and it's been doing wonders for my ability to focus at work. I'm guessing it has a lot to do with the heavy backbeat.

Pandora radio is great and all, but I'd like something a little more consistent than Bad Romance by Lady Gaga followed by Children (Dream Version) by Robert Miles.

Only criteria are 1) very strong beat; 2) more music than words. (( ETA: I think I'm asking for more Dance than Club, in other words. ))

Agents are go?

Armand Van Helden. Honestly most Drum and Bass should do the job or Jungle if you want to check some of that out.

Of course I recommend The Long Blondes if you want some more standard rock stuff, they do a totally bitching bass line.

Random recommendation of Pretty Lights. Not exactly dance music, but it's definitely music that helps me concentrate.

So, I've come to a couple of conclusions about my 5 year plan, here. First, due to some information from my friend in Interac, I have reason to believe that ALT positions through private companies are pretty much open these days, what with the disasters and all. Second, due to reasoning, I would imagine that the Japanese government has many, many better things to be spending their money on than sending JET ALTs to Japan, so I'm kind of giving up hope on that one. While I'll continue to wait for the results come this April, I'm now filling out applications for privately run ALT positions. Japan's devastation is, to a degree, my gain.

5 year plan moves forward, and befits its name much better.

Super awesome boss in interim position decided not to stick around any longer. Can't blame him, as the department is crazy and soul sucking, but I'm not exaggerating to say that we now have no one in the Marketing department who knows anything about Marketing.

Well, good: calc is boring anyway. This frees you up to take electives in Group Theory, Knot Theory, Fractals, and Topology. ^_^

Oooh music I don't know! (Techno isn't really my genre).

MSTRKRFT and some Aphex Twin on there though so it is probably good stuff.

I do recommend Aphex Twin, Richard James does some amazing work, but it is all over the place from drill and bass to ambient. He has a good catalog of solid drum and bass stuff, but on any given album you are going to be digging up a lot of other stuff. That said his stuff is pretty easy to find around the place in the places you don't purchase music but still get it.

I honestly expected companies to take one look at my "Can not start until 4 months after your starting date" and just ignore me out-of-hand. Instead, I get a surprise phone interview complete with "What's a job you've hated?" questions.

Kind of exciting to actually get such a positive response, though I still wasn't sure that I wanted to keep living in Japan. At this point, I guess I'm basing my decision entirely on whether they'll offer to place me in Tokyo/Osaka (or at least nearby) or not.

My friend working for Interac now told me that Interac is hurting pretty badly for ALTs after the Tsunami, as a lot of them went home. This kind of supports what I've been told.

Was told today that I had to work on two posters, a leaflet and a website. Eep.
Except I'd already done most of the website and the leaflet, just needed to change colours on one and the font on the other.
The posters ended up being mostly the same as the leaflet, just needing a little reshuffling.

Long story short? I have spent a nice day checking forums and playing TTA. And getting paid for it. Fuck yes.

Also, UPDATE: Another Job Interview, this time from AEON. Only I don't know how trustworthy this company is, so I need to research it some more.
