This girl is Glenn Close-crazy and I didn't call her.

Liking girls while dating like a guy is pretty much the best combo ever if you hate your life.

EDIT:

I either have been weighing 67 Kg for a while or I lost 1.5Kg within four days. What the hell?

Easy way to gain 1.5kg:

Weigh yourself.  Then drink a tall glass of water (approximately 1.5 liters).  Now weigh yourself again (before going to the bathroom).  Bam: instant 1.5 kg weight gain!

I love you so much.

So I was asking for help in chat about what awesome RPG locale I should use to replace the Phantom Forest in my FF6 Hack. Grefter to the Rescue:

<Grefter> Name the dungeon UR MOM
OH SHIT THIS IS THE DEEPEST DUNGEON EVER
   IT GOES ON FOREVER
HOLY SHIT THERE IS A FULLY FUNCTIONING TRAIN IN HERE
<Djinn>   That's awesome
   I actually laughed aloud
<Grefter>   I am extremely disappointed I didn't think of it 10 minutes ago.
* Djinn   golf-claps.
<Grefter>   It works really well for classic imagery re: tunnels and vaginas and trains and penises as well.
   No matter what.
Everyone ends up going through your mum.
   Sorry UR MOM
<Djinn>   Grefter, you have to get out of here.
   UR MOM'S VAGINA IS HAUNTED
<Grefter>   Can we please do this?
   Like seriously.
   Best dungeon ever.
<Djinn>   I will consider it

Djinn jumps straight into the best parts and misses the start to the jokes which I thought were pretty worthy of Jim.

On the topic WHAT SHOULD I NAME FOREST

<Grefter> I know it isn't really forrest but you might want to think about it.
<Grefter> Your mum has some pretty impressive bush.
<Djinn> ...
 * Djinn highfives Grefter
<Djinn> dammit, you got me

Then we pick up where Djinn started.

I was so proud and then the roll just kept going.  Sometimes it is nice to be reminded why you people put up with me.  It is because I am fucking awesome.

There should definitely be an inn part-way through this dungeon.

Also: you should recruit one of the younger-looking characters like Relm or Mog in there.

There's no inn, but you do get fully healed by drinking from the pool of liquid you find within.

On a different topic, after spending three days basically doing nothing BUT writing, I've somehow cranked out my largest chapter to date early. Surely a sign of the end times.

You could always get drunk and spend the night.

Edit - Or make it so that whenever you get drunk you get teleported to the dungeon.

Whenever you spend money at any shop or use gil toss you get teleported to the dungeon.

Back from an anime con (MCM London Expo) and back at work. Probably the worst Expo yet of the 7 I've been to, yet still an absolutely brilliant weekend. So so so sad to have to leave. Been talking to loads of amazing people I met/saw again over the weekend and really wish I'd made the most of it this time round, as opposed to wasting a lot of time seemingly doing nothing. Also wish I'd managed to get a cosplay finished in time - will be getting one commissioned for the next Expo to make sure I at least have one to wear.

Also, idly, why is every good-looking and awesome person I meet at Expos not interested in guys, whether they're male or female? ;(

It's an anime convention, of course everyone loves 2D more than 3D.

Basic question of economics. At a goddamn anime convention, there is invariably a giant dude surplus that creates a buyer's market, therefore anyone who is looking for one has likely already acquired as many as they feel is necessary.

...you have a strange idea of who shows up at anime conventions. Comics/Sci-Fi conventions, yes, total sausage fest. But every single Anime con I've ever been to has been overwhelmingly dominated by girls.

He's neither in America or Japan.

EDIT: If you mean Rob, I'd be colored speechless if he ever went as close as a mile from an anime convention, since I suspect he'd just set one on fire the instant he saw it.

Neil Gaiman will be in my neck of the woods the day after DLC. Goddamn, finally, I am actually going to be in the SAME PLACE at the SAME TIME as one of my favorite authors.

Been actively trying to make a signing of his since 2006. (Which is not to say I don't have signed books - Andrew managed to get some for me!) Been a fan since I read Neverwhere in 2000 or so.

Only taken me 11 years!

Oh dear. I have until June 30th to find a new place unless my landlord can pull some amazing tricks out of his arse.

...Well fuck. This kinda puts games tournaments into a new, much less important perspective.
...Not that that'll stop me dedicating half my time to them. ¬_¬
