Considering you can pick it up for like $2 because it is public domain due to some copyright bullshit, there isn't really much excuse for it taking very long.  You literally just pay for the media it comes on.  You can probably even download it legally for free if you look around.

Edit - Or stream it from Youtube in HD.

It's also on Hulu, so I watch it on my phone from time to time.

Since there's no middle ground between "inevitable extinction!" and "everybody lives... forever!"

When you're dealing with pandemics, there's "win" and there's "lose." Pandemics don't really reach an understanding and decide to respect borders. The question is scale: Night of the Living Dead versus, say, Nier's backstory.

There's also "completely unresolved one way or the other", which seems to be the most popular option for zombie movies.

Generally it can be assumed that if no progress is made, the zombies eventually win.

I'd take the opposite assumption if anything. Pandemics are scary things but bad at "winning" in the sense of causing total extinction, especially of a large and spread out population.

I'm in California! San Jose today, San Francisco tomorrow through Monday. Good times, nice weather, good food, bad jet lag.

I'm feeling pretty good. Finally, things seem to be moving and I'm trying to work harder and stuff. One of my labmates has had a lot of success in his research lately and I've been inspired to follow in his footsteps~ Tomorrow I am going to try to start running a preliminary experiment and we'll see how it goes. I'm pretty hyped though.

I'm still feeling a little homesick, seeing a few too many pictures of family and friends and their kids and stuff, but I'm trying to get over it. :p

Today started out shitty because of a call that got me all panicked about stuff, but when I got in touch with them it was something I'd already taken care of.

Then work was work and I come home to find the fedora I purchased.

So, government elections resulted in "trollolol you get to keep these guys". This is bad because uh, let's see... we need money for the treasury. So what are the things they'll do/have done?

- Handicapped people will no longer receive social security unless they get a job. Mind, this includes people who are mentally retarded and unfit for work. They get money when they're 30+
- Students will have to finish their studies in 5 years, or else suffer 3,000 euros of penalty fee, reduction of their student grant (to 0) and their entire grant becomes a loan.
- Schools with students who take more than 5 years to finish will receive a 3,000 euro penalty as well.
- Schools that cater to kids with a mental or physical handicap will no longer receive government funding. Additionally normal schools will no longer receive funds to accomodate kids with a handicap of either type.
- If parents live off of social security, they will lose 500~800 euros from that social security if their children work.
- Families with one parent will no longer receive social security in addition if they have a part-time job.
- Mandatory healthcare goes up! You no longer get free walking aids.
- More tax needs to be paid over any cultural activities so as to improve cultural awareness.

OH OH BUT DON'T WORRY PEOPLE WHO EARN A LOT WILL ALSO BE HURT...
- If you earn more than 100,000 euros per year, you will lose support money for healthcare. That's about 60 euros/month.

Why did we vote for these guys again? Oh, right, because they're anti-islam.

I hate this country. QQ

* Clear Tranquil feels as if she's sitting on a ticking time bomb

When do the riots start?~

(... and I thought it was bad in the UK, at least here people are getting assessed to see if they are fit for work first and they won't be forced to work if they seriously are unfit to work because of physical and/or mental disabilities ... at least I hope not)

High fives all around.  Good for you!
Rocky: you do know what an A-bomb is, right?
Bullwinkle: A-bomb is what some people call our show!
Rocky: I don't think that's very funny...
Bullwinkle: Neither do they, apparently!
