The good: My computer came!

The bad: They want me to pee in a cup for a health check or something and I am now terrified because it hasn't been that long since I last smoked.... Oh my god if this all is ruined because of that I may have to go on suicide watch. I guess we'll see what happens...

After some googling and translating of the questionnaire it SEEMS like this is just a health check and tuat a drug test would only be performed on the sample if I made them suspicious... At the very least, the kanji for yakubutsukensa did not show up on the form. Still, I may be screwed. Time to drink a tonne of water before the exam and start praying I guess.

For the record I don't really care if I find no sympathy here, but I really just need a venue to air out my thoughts without worrying people that might give a damn until I know for sure they need to start worrying.

I suspect you'll get plenty of sympathy for policies which are complete bullshit and nothing to do with your ability to actually do your job.

Meh, I barely have any sympathy for myself on this one. Just because it is bullshit doesn't mean that it isn't the name of the game.  In figuring, "oh, they wouldn't spend a ton of money in flying me out, putting me up in a hotel, and getting me set up with an apartment just to drug test me immediately afterwards and send me home" I neglected the ability of people to be absolutely retarded.

Uuugh. I can only hope that the urine sample is just a urinalysis check and that they don't run a drug test too.

Didn't mean to come off as "QQ," just wanted to share an image for bronies.

I DO hope they do not pull stupid shit like, as you say, paying ass-loads of money to wine and dine and host you only to send you packing for something you did weeks before any of that even happened.

When will you know?

Oh, yeah, I didn't take it that way. I was just clarifying that I know it's my own damn fault and that I still hold a "DL doesn't really agree with me about drugs" policy.

I do the health check Monday morning so I figure if I get shitcanned it will be sometime next week.

The best part is that if they do send me packing I have to reimburse them for everything.   THE BEST

The DL was ever uptight about that?  I mean, sure, next to no one actually does anything, but I'm pretty sure nobody considers it a societal ill.

Yep, what everyone else said. Hope it's just a health check and everything goes okay.

Last I checked most of the DL didn't really do the stuff but wasn't aggressively against others doing fairly soft stuff.

I know I have had conversations with a few people about benefits of legalising many things.

Whenever I took a health check in Japan, they were far more concerned with my weight than my drug history. So as long as youre not fat, you'll be fine.

Rephrase: :) at the news that they probably will focus on other things. Too used to America I guess. I am still worried but it is good to hear.

:( at them focusing on Djinn's weight.  He's much thinner than I.

Well, the alternative would be focusing on his dick. We don't really want that.

Well, the Portland Brewers' festival is pretty awesome. I tried to drink all 85 beers but couldn't pull it off in one day. Ended up going out for dinner and drinks afterward though.

A charming lady bought me a Glenlivet. Is this... LOVE???

So the Warped Tour I went to today just changed my life.

Dear Lord the mosh pits....I loved getting to see controlled chaos up close and personal. It excited and terrified me at the same time. People were dropping like flies. No control at all. EPIC!

The music there was all rock, but man it's something I did not see myself getting into that genre...ever.

But it was great. I left with no major injuries which is more then I can say for some other less fortunate souls.

Good...nay, Great time!

Fear my developing aquarium. Its not a puppy, but it makes me feel good to look at.

That was taken soon after I filled it and planted it, so still a bit murky. i have also filled in some additional plants such then as well, but don't have a more recent picture, unfortunately.
