I guess Djinn never did clarify if this was a man model or a woman model.  Could be either.

True enough. I just don't think he'd be as excited/emo if it was a guy, since he actually wants to build a typical family with a daddy, a mommy and a bunch of hellspawn.

Besides, would it be surprising if a male runway model was a nerd?

Last week at this job! I am going to be so glad to get out of this place, in all honesty. They told me at the start of this that I would almost certainly learn a lot in my time here, and I definitely did: I learnt that neither community support or working closely with the public are good for me.
I mean, I'm not terrible with it, but really, there are days where I just struggle to get through, and I am going to make sure I enjoy the next few weeks before me and my friend start up our new business.
Oh, yeah, I'm planning on starting up a gaming business. It's been seen as a good idea by pretty much everyone who's looked at it, so our only real concern is convincing potential investors that it's a good idea. ._.;; We're hoping to start by the end of November, but we realise that's stupidly optimistic, and we're looking at early next year as a more realistic time to kick things off.

Ambitious! Best of luck with your new venture.
Rocky: you do know what an A-bomb is, right?
Bullwinkle: A-bomb is what some people call our show!
Rocky: I don't think that's very funny...
Bullwinkle: Neither do they, apparently!

Details?

Like...are you opening up a store that sells magic the gathering cards and D&D books?
Are you writing an iPhone game that you plan to sell for money?
Are you planning on running an arcade?

"gaming business" could mean a lot of things >_>

Personally, if I were going to either run an arcade or sell collectible games, I'd probably want to fuse the two in various ways anyway.  Say... sell cards, have space on site so customers can play, try out deck ideas, etc, have arcade stations set up as a downtime option or to just draw in different customers.

CK's pretty much hit this perfectly. We've got two sides to the shop - one is selling TCGs and running tournaments, while the other is essentially an internet cafe for games, with tournaments there as well. We've considered some other things alongside that, but we want to get the whole thing up and running before looking at possible expansions.

Somebody had to restore the balance after Idun left, I guess?

Indeed.

Djinn, give me her number so that she can pick my wardrobe for me.  Now that Dunie left I am lacking my stylist ;_;

Sitting in the Seattle airport, waiting for my plane. I had a fabulous time this weekend. The sun, the music, the crowds... Got to spend time with the parents, checked out some Seattle stuff I missed the last couple times I've been here, and otherwise enjoyed some of the best weather I've seen all year.

Man, I am not looking forward to returning to the cubicle tomorrow morning.

Several firsts:

I not only shook the hand of an art history all-star, but also I held a fairly stable conversation with him. Did geek out and mention connecting his name to two canonical texts used virtually in all undergraduate art history courses. Fred Kleiner. Permanent faculty? Jes!

Also. I absolutely love Women, Art and Society, authored by Whitney Chadwick. I believe I previously mentioned the text in the book thread around a year ago. Either way, Dr. Hills (perhaps the second-most renowned, perhaps even moreso) professor and my adviser, mentioned ringing in Chadwick for several topical discussions in my 20thc American Painting colloquium. This is win. Apparently they are "friends." Her networking amazes me.

I am now sitting in the art gallery doing nothing, as I've already read the readings. I .. yeah, I'll get on purchasing books now. Hello everyone.

): You can never replace me, MC.

Which part?  The boy or the girl?

(I think Niu playing the girl would be more fitting here.  "Supersonic, idiotic, who would ever really want to top that?"  Also, it would involve Niu talking faster, which would probably make it funnier anyway).
