Also, you're welcome for the extra points racked up by adopting my bowling form.

Let us never mention my shame again.
Rocky: you do know what an A-bomb is, right?
Bullwinkle: A-bomb is what some people call our show!
Rocky: I don't think that's very funny...
Bullwinkle: Neither do they, apparently!

Not enough TaiXSnow  :P I r disappoint. Fix this plz~
Actually, I think 'no' works on that quite nicely there, CT.  You are denied.  You may not pass Go, you may not collect 2 free yaoi DVDs.

Late, but Jenna took the words out of my mouth. Tai also backs us up here.

I was going to post earlier and joke about the Gate house banning yaoi and how I get scolded by Jenna for this every year  :P When I came back there was a new post about it though so I thought I should apologise just to be on the safe side.

I was confused ok >_>

Snow: basically sitting around with camera loaded and waiting for the inevitable nicotine urges.  I think the picture I did get was when you couldn't find a lighter, though.  And there were about 10 failed attempts from earlier days.

Glorious times were had. Weariness from being away from the resting place of home kicked in at around contime so I spent more time in the quieter areas, which is probably why half the folks seemed to remark not interacting with me much this year. >_> Keeping in the English language mindset gets easier with practice, felt a lot more natural speaking than at SF. Running down quick impressions of some people, doing a longer recap would have me sitting down at the computer for the rest of the day.

Hal - First time seeing him. Excellent host and a very chill guy. The ratio of interesting places to visit and time spent lounging around at the apartment was perfect, and admirably managed to keep his sanity while having to wing it during the various con mishaps regarding travel. Tried to get me drunk, partially succeeded at this. We offer our condolences to you for making the DL think you are schizophrenic.

Snow - First-timer. Somehow exactly like he is online, except too shy to gnaw. Never ceases to marvel at the endless wonders of commercialism. According to him, would have eventually become a full fledged hipster anyway but the trip accelerated the process.

Alex - Excellent co-host. Was more interactive than last year at Laggy's despite being stressed out by the woes of transportation (you did a great job!), lots of board games and horrifying shooters were played/witnessed.

HY - Another first-timer, incredibly awesome in person. Very british, melts in heat, confounded by geometry and Miyako technology.

Grefter - Fascinating man, could listen to POKEMANS rants forever. Somehow manages to find the best obscure PC games. EDIT: Grefter does not fistbump.

super - I'm sure Hal would have understood if I defenestrated you.

VSM - Another first-timer, way less neurotic than online. Get to another one of these, you're fun to have around.

Tai - Whenever I wanted a little peace and quiet I usually retreated to engineer exquisitely built characters into their deaths with the toro in Dungeon Crawl, much to Grefter's amusement.

Niu - Niu, tear down this fourth wall.

OK - I'm sorry to break this down to you but you are a mere mortal. You simply cannot become Rebecca Black.

Tal - Nice hat. Is literally Saddam

Capt K. - Also saw him for the first time. Exactly as advertised, fighting game enthusiast and dirty old man.

Chen - Shadow Overlord. Yessss, trust the good Vice President.

DLCon was the best time I've had in years, and as the last person to leave (I stayed and hung out with Ran for a couple more days) I have only now recovered from the transatlantic jetlag enough to press buttan and post thing. I was incredibly energetic at the con, practically bouncing off the walls the whole time, so I dunno I may have been a bit of a blur to some people, but even if I didn't get to talk to you much, I still thought everyone there was awesome. America is also an awesome place, I love any opportunity to experience places outside of this blighted isle of Albion, and visiting America again has urged me to speed up my plans to emigrate elsewhere.

People!

Ran - What can I even say? Transatlantic Bromance forever. Ran is even more awesome in person. Also gave me real life RSO cards just before I left. Give the man some more love.

Ran's seven cats - All over me all the time. So much pussy.

Hal - I CANNOT GET OVER THE MOUSTACHE. It is very Texan. Nah seriously props to Hal for hosting the whole thing and being awesome about having 29 people in his apartment and managing not to go crazy.

Tonfa - 300+ matches of Melty Blood Actress Again. 300+ matches of Melty Blood Actress Again. Tonfa is a hilarious and awesome guy and we need to play things more together and the dude needs to come watch when I stream. As long as he keeps the Miyako technology away from me.

Snow - PONIES. Snow walks a fine line on the edge of the hipster singularity, blending Sony and Apple into one dark mixture, and manages to be an awesome friendly guy at the same time.

Grefter - Grefter is totally not like I expected him to be in person, and I got on with him so well. I barely even hear Australian accents back home but for some reason it sounded so much more familiar than an American accent. Grefter is a cool dude from whom I need to steal more music and should probably throw writing at sometime.

Tai - So much Crawl, all the time. You should stream that or something. Got to hang out with Tai quite a bit, and he is a super-chill guy.

Super - I had no idea he spends so much time on the same landmass as me! Returning to America seemed to give him interesting homicidal urges.

Zenny - Proof that the world is in fact a very small place.

VSM - If VSM loves my accent that much then he should come listen to me steaming. Although I'd read a phone book out loud for the guy too.

Niu - I am totally in support of the quest to tear down the fourth wall.

Soppy - Didn't interact anywhere near enough with Soppy! He seemed like a very awesome guy and I need to go pester him about Arkham Horror.

Everyone else, you were all cool people and I should talk to you all more in the dl, but if I list everyone then I will never get around to standing up and going to make a load of bacon for breakfast.

Late to the reply-party here but why not:

DLCon6 was a blast; most fun I'd had at one of these in a few years and obviously I enjoy them all enough to keep coming back, so yeah. Megaprops to Hal and Alex for being such great hosts, driving people around at ungodly hours and letting us invade your apartment (mostly in Hal's case) and permanently endanger your relationship with your downstairs neighbours.

Great to meet the new people as always. Snow translates wonderfully to in person which isn't exactly surprising but yeah. Definitely a blast to talk to. Keep being a fucking hipster gamer nerd, man. I also really enjoyed meeting VSM, and I definitely hope this was the first of many Cons for him, since he just seemed so darn happy to be there.

Others...

mc: Always wonderful to see her being so happy and generally mc-like. Couldn't really ask for better roommates than her and Dhyer; fun times were had chatting about random things.

Dhyer: Is insanely catty and awesome as always. Great to spend time with.

Cmdr: Extended LoD fangirl episode for the win. As always needs to talk more since he's so much fun when he does.

Captain K: Yeah, felt like there was less of a generation gap this time, for all that we talked only fairly briefly, mostly at breakfast that one day, and in the VP fan car.

Andy/Ashley: I wish I had more overlapping interests with these two because I think they're both extremely cool people to talk to in person. Got to do more of that this year.

Jim: Accursed Bruins fan, but still enjoyed my chances to talk with him on a few occasions.

Meeple: Is Meeple. Don't think I talked as much with him as past Cons but that makes sense seeing as we spent extra time together those times.

Shale: Neglected to play Soul Calibur with him, this sucks. Cool guy, enjoyed talking with him at the airport upon arrival.

Sopko: Provided excellent Simpsons-themed prizes for bowling. Of course I (and the rest of the men of our bowling lane) were too busy getting owned by the ladies to actually win any~

Yakko: Hey it's someone I can actually talk sports with. Also the artwork was seriously -awesome-. Electrifying!

Tai: Didn't spend as much time with him as I'd have liked, but it was great to see him doing better.

Gate: Fun guy to talk to as always. Also had fun watching him play that cheesy samurai game that I've forgotten the name of already.

Zenny: Even if he has never had respect for me, was a lot of fun to play Mega Man with, and the chat with him/VSM/Snow/Ciato late Saturday evening was certainly one of the Con highlights.

Super: The universe seemed to conspire to hate him less than in previous Cons, not sure where that good karma came from. Maybe from having to suffer through the entire Con giving him the finger at once.

Xer: Thanks for offering your help with the 360 purchases. Great to see you doing well even if we didn't spend a huge amount of time together this con.

Niu: Video games still take priority over social interaction. Part of me is amazed he keeps coming to these, but hey, he seems to have a lot of fun anyway.

Tal/Tonfa/OK/HY: Win the joint award, along with Alex, for "people I didn't spend as much time with as I'd have liked". At least we got to tell Tonfa about the worthy successor to Songi. And got to see OK play the Demon Rush. Keep that LP coming!

tl;dr You are all awesome and I can't wait for next year.

Erwin Schrödinger will kill you like a cat in a box.
Maybe.

Similar to last year, bucking tradition of second game outpacing the first. I have enough data to start doing GRAPHS! YAY! I'll get those up later since I have to either dig up old topics or go home to Jersey to get the rest of the sheets with the scores on them.

Congrats to OK, Ciato and Hal for winning 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. The tie was resolved in true DLCon tradition of Rock, Paper, Scissor. Hope everyone enjoys their prizes, especially Shale, who made off with OK's trophy after OK left it behind.

No one got onto the High Scores list, so it stands as follows:

Best Single Game
1. Tal - 152 (DLC4)

Oh right, FYI Hal, there's a bowling alley that's notably closer to your house (That was has an arcade, laser tag, mini golf and a rock wall apparentally). On the other hand, could be overrun with 10 year olds, but at that age, I would have been there all the time. It was two stops or something before the hotel.

If it's that Main Event place I'm not surprised; never been in there, though, so I didn't know it had bowling. I was figuring it for arcade + laser tag only.
