With a lack of further input, here's what I've decided to do.

1. Please post up to 5 characters from each DL division, taken from ranked duellers (remember that we ranked Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and Soul Nomad & The World Eaters)
2. Additionally, you may nom 1 unranked character per division.
3. Please nom each division evenly!
4. This Saturday, I'll cobble these nominations into a workable bracket, to be posted Sunday.

Excellent question.  I expect to get only just enough noms to work with, so for the most part nomming different characters is desirable.  However, if response is good, priority will definitely be given to characters with multiple noms.
Basically, I'd say nom for variety right now, and I'll give everyone a chance to change noms if it's likely to come up.

Basculin (Pokemon: White/Black)

There is almost no way I see Basculin as light, if only because of overpowered priority coming off that Attack. (That said, I am also a Pokemon player more than a DLer, but I can see that translating quite well!)

Anyways. I'm not gonna be nomming for originality, because originality is just something I don't tend to do well. I'll just be nominating what I want to see, regardless of others' noms.

Yoshi: Priority  moves, outside ExtremeSpeed, just don't have the power to be threatening in the DL setting, where weaknesses are exceptionally rare.  Basculin's base attack, while solid, isn't exceptional either (92 or thereabouts), so yeah, Aqua Jet isn't a big deal.  Adaptability and having a good damage move in Aqua Tail means the damage is fine, but the defenses are sub-par and I suspect Gen 5 jacked the damage curve substantially.  So in all likelihood, Basculin's very much a light.

Neph: uh... if this were futurama I might consider it, but people seemed to want a very DL-based tourney, so no.  I'm not going to specify a form on a ranked character.

Not a gen 5 player, but Adaptability (if it still works like in gen 4) should make his damage too good for Light, yeah. (He's pretty fast so he won't even need priority a lot of the time, and he has a wickedly powerful Aqua Tail which may well 2HKO off good speed.)

Ninja'd by CK: Though if gen 5 really did jack damage he may miss the 2HKO and if he does so by a decent amount it may cost him the division since his durability is subpar (0.8/0.7 at a glance?) and his skillset is ass outside Scary Face which is really made for longer slugfests than he's likely to have.

His damage is about ~86 (90% hit, but 1/16 crit) for the record.
