You got it eventually at least, though you forgot to link

-1. Easy one? (!)
MGS1, the first of the MGS series (if not Metal Gear), and I always personally thought it was the easiest. Also note the random exclamation point...
0. !
I didn't really care that much about OK re-guessing Zenny's SC2, but it was an excuse to keep tossing !'s in before clue 1. Only missed having one on the second clue's post.
1. (bum bum bum bum) (bum bum bum bum) Dun dun. Dun dun, dun dun dun. (bum bum bum bum) (bum bum bum bum) Dun dun, dun dun dun. Dun dun, dun dun dun! (bum bum bum bum) (bum bum bum bum)
For after said exclamation point pops up on a nearsighted soldier. It's like a 60 second loop and is the only battle theme in the game - even the boss theme is a remix of it. Unless you were crazy awesome at stealth, you heard this tune a lot. Pretty much straight-up 4/4 - each sentence is a measure, as are the background hits.
2. How exactly does this virus work? Magic?
Foxdie seems to kill whoever Naomi wants it to. Octopus dies like instantly, Liquid is in contact with Snake for awhile and eats a zillion machine gun bullets but then suddenly drops dead when dramatic at the end of the game (even if the death doesn't exactly stick), and Snake is spared despite being the host, but then apparently gets rapid aging or something in MGS4 from it.
3. Can peace ever bloom in this war-torn world of ours? And will killing all the furries really help? ...probably not.
Snake, samurai philosopher poet, wonders about these kind of questions a lot, it seems. Vague rip on "can love bloom, even on the battlefield," and while the setting of MGS1 isn't exactly war-torn, it sure seems to be for Snake, since Colonel Campbell goes on about how he's born to battle blah blah blah early on. As for the furries, uh, Foxhound's naming scheme, and Snake is the type to kill everyone then feel bad about it.
4. I can see into CK's mind! You like Suikoden... don't you?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3NcW3adH3UPsycho Mantis read CK's memory card and his earlier post and saw that he liked Suikoden. (Psycho Mantis only notices Konami games from before MGS's release, so not Suikoden II, say. Funny, that.) Kind of audibled into this clue, there was a lot of potential trolling to be done but CK's guess made this seem appropriate.
5. Last known picture of the director below:
I'd probably have tossed in some kind of insult as well ("DL, Y U NO GUESS MY GAME?") Okay this could have applied to Suda7 as well but close enough, really.
