Bad news - they've been doing that for a while. Illegally I think for a time, but now it's legal.

At least they aren't working in management yet.

SO...about the Time Share thing...sounds like its not a good idea, mostly because its further away from Soppy than originally expected, to the point where its a hassle to go to and from.

So...the option is still around if something comes up, but yeah, for now assume that's not happening.

Hey, I'm curious who is getting a room and who wants to share? I'm going to be driving down there, and while staying at Soppy's would be fine, I suspect it'll be full with internationals and others who can't afford to shell out for a trip and a hotel.

I'd be willing to split the cost of the room for all the nights we're staying there. I intend to get there early for the fun outings, so if a lot of people are coming early, it'd be easier to split the cost with someone who has the same schedule as me (unless there's enough room at Soppy's for the early-arrivers until the Con starts proper and we transfer to the hotel room or whatever?).

That was the plan, yes. All the early arrivers would be crashing here and then whoever is getting a hotel kicked out on Thursday.

A reminder that the con is 3 months away. If you haven't already, please start making your plans. I am setting the signup cutoff for the con on April 2nd (so no lame April Fools Day jokes >.>)

EDIT: As a note, I found out that the Hampton Inn has a deal where if you pre-pay, they'll give you a rate of $76/night for your stay. This could save hotel peeps a decent amount of money if they can front it.

I'm for splitting a room. Hotel will be needed...night of the 6th-night of the 9th, I think.
