Futurama 2011 Season 2: Nominations

Unlike previous Futurama noms, I'm not going to go in with pre-selected characters/games.  If the game I intend to slate in aren't nommed, odds are I'll get a chance to stuff them in.

And so, the format.  This will be a standard sized season, with 64 duellers in 32 matches.  And so, I would like you to nominate 4 characters.  However, all noms should follow this format

Division
(Character from ranked game) vs (Character from unranked game)

In other words, what I would like is each nomination to contain 2 matches, rather than 4 characters.  Addtionally:
- Each matchup should be in a different division
- Remember that unranked characters from ranked games are counted as ranked.  So, Magikarp (Pokémon) vs Stocke (Radiant Historia) is valid.  Cloud (Final Fantasy VII) vs Magikarp (Pokémon) is NOT.
- I'll try and keep this post updated with noms I have accepted, with note of who nommed what to make tracking easier.  However, do keep in mind that some divisions fill faster than others, so if lots of posters above you used Heavy, your odds of getting a Heavy match in are notably lower.

I'm aiming to start the tourney on Sunday, October 30, but we'll see.  This topic will be active until all slots are filled, whether you or I do the filling.

This isn't necessarily the final bracket: I'll want to rearrange things to minimize second round vote block where I can.

Bugger.  Two other notes:
- The usual 2 duellers per unranked game restriction is in play.  Similarly, one nominator should not use the same game twice.
- I'm not going out of my way to fact-check ranks.  If the nommer is off, point it out.

Ah Sands of Destruction, where even middling members of the cast make Godlike due to full healing that doesn't cost a turn + buffs + utility + status.

Middle
Sazh (FF13) vs. Brad (WA2)

I'm of the "Sazh is a low Heavy" opinion but considering the damage curve that Dark Holy Elf and possibly some others use, Sazh can drop to High Light fast, so think this is fair.  (When you can't stall, whether your buffing game raises averagish damage to good damage vs. raising bad damage to averagish damage is very important.)

Figured I need to put multiple ones here since, invariably, some will be REJECTED (also, since I'll barely be around to repost).  Listed in order of preference for admittance into the GREAT AMERICAN FUTURAMA TOURNAMENT, and have smallened all of them after the first 2.

I apologize for not following your exact formatting requirements, but you didn't note how we're supposed to list the game the characters hail from, so I added it in the parentheses, with a comma separating the character name and the origin game.

Godlike: Chaos (Final Fantasy) vs. Cid Raines (Final Fantasy XIII)

Time to force people to think about FF13 bosses in the DL. Cid's the only one whose durability isn't completely boring and thus makes for some interesting matches, like this one maybe.

Heavy: Ninja (Final Fantasy V) vs. Kluke (Blue Dragon)

The smash is strong in this one. I think there's enough interesting decisions here despite it being a 1/2HKO fest.
