Since I don't feel I have the data to run a 'ranked' tourney, and want to hold off on Futurama, we shall instead go with the essence of DLery, Fire Emblem.

This nom topic will be straightforward. We'll have a standard sized bracket, and each poster may nom Two characters per division. Because I'm not wholly confident there ARE 16 proper Godlikes from the series, you may nom less than two in that division. Otherwise, please use all your nom slots.

Characters from Sword of Seals (6), Blazing Sword (7), Sacred Stones (8), Path of Raidance (9), Radiant Dawn (10), and Shadow Dragon (11) are all eligible. Use your best judgement on ranks, and if you think someone is mistaken, feel free to point it out in the topic (I'm not necessarily going to remember every single character here).

Ideally, this topic will run for one week, but we'll see. Might launch early if an abundance of noms happen.

Think you're going to need to open that up - I think FE4 has enough people to do it.

If FE4 is viable, put Julius in Godlike to replace Black Knight

No nomming characters who cannot attack. OK, fix your Light noms.

And no, Staff counters do not count. They need to be able to initiate the attack.

Neph: I'm not sure who that is! I'd say go ahead and err on the side of Godlike and if people think otherwise we can fix it later.

Neph: I swapped around the divisions on your Nino and Oswin noms, in accordance with prevailing interps. Hector and Ashnard were already nommed, so if you want to substitute some more noms in their place you're welcome to, just make a new post saying you've done so.

The DL does have HM Ashnard stats (see http://www.rpgdl.com/forums/index.php/topic,466.msg28895.html#msg28895 ), but either Ashnard has the whole Goddess Protect nonsense giving him a bunch of free wins... though... that said, this is the rare tournament where most of Godlike will not be cheesed out instantly since your average FE Godlike does in fact have a "legendary" weapon that probably breaks the barrier (Ragnell = Durandal / Sacred Twins / Dragon Breath / etc., sure)

Pain & Agony are obscure losers who we don't seem to have a stat topic on, however.

In addition to that, I was just planning to put an explicit disclaimer to the effect that anyone fighting Ashnard, Black Knight, or FE10's Mantle users had their weapon blessed.

I'm not too worried about stat topic availability considering the marvelous resource that is Serenes. Pain and Agony, specifically, are the bosses of 1-4, so early in the game that you can get reasonably accurate averages just using the base level of available PCs and adding a point or two to everything.

I assume characters have a locked game for those that appear in both FE6/FE7 or FE9/FE10? Anyway one game seems suspiciously underrepresented at the moment, so...

I've just been taking folks as they're nommed and assuming they are indeed restricted to the game they're nommed from. Whether people want to double nom as an extention of this and have FE9 Tibarn vs FE10 Tibarn is up to them.

I'd... rather not put the twins in Godlike. Feel free to nom something else.

CK: Well... uh... hmm. The twins did make it into Godlike in the DL itself IIRC. Would Ike be an acceptable replacement? Dunno though, I think Ike is usually thought to be worse than Eirika in the DL due to lacking hax evade. Don't really have anything for Godlike otherwise.

Djinn: Nasir doesn't swing Godlike. He's not a royal, and I sure don't see the Demi Band as universally legal, and I don't think he has a first-turn transform unlike Lethe, so he's sitting on Light since he gives up at least his first turn. (Forget what his starting gague exactly was.)

Also, FWIW, I'd totally see Reinforce as legal, but Tanith would still lose upon her own death (even if there were reinforcements around).

Yeah, Nasir's a Light (he transforms on turn 4, or turn 3 if he's attacked twice before then) and Kurth is... well, he varies with a few interps but he certainly isn't Godlike.

Eirika won her way to Godlike and was 1-2 there in the DL proper. Ephraim finished his DL career in Heavy but did have a single Godlike loss to his name following a season where he was Heavy runner-up.
