Woohoo. Cast full of Physical/Magical spoilers, with Hammer Bros and Bowser able to do something like 150% PCHP damage.

for lulz:
Mario
2 HP
Jump-stomp: 1 dmg, physical. Paralyzes Shelled enemies (Koopa Troopas, Paratroopas, and Buzzy Beetles.)
Fireball: 1 dmg, magical, fire-elemental. 2 dmg to Winged enemies (Paratroopas)
Starman: Instant Death attack, gives Mario complete damage immunity for duration.

This topic is serious business.

Your enemy damage scaling is off. Mushrooms are clearly a form of buff, and while I'm somewhat happy to scale that against things, it shouldn't be -assumed- given you have to find one, and often that's not an option (particularly if you die in 8-4, matters for Bowser). So yeah, enemy damage is certainly better than 50% PCHP. Not sure how much better exactly, though. I'd generally assume Mario's HP to range somewhere between 1 and 2, probably closer to 2 normally but closer to 1 in stages where no mushrooms are present (8-1, 8-4).

Also, finally, a non-RPG stat topic about a worthwhile game

EDIT: Also, I might argue that, based on paratroopa evidence, that fireballs in fact do 2 damage (and thus that Bowser has 10 HP). You could also argue, however, that Paratroopas always have 1 HP, but physical damage fails to kill them and removes their wings. Maybe that makes more sense. I like both interps more than them being weak to fire/magic though, which doesn't make much sense.

Yet another note! Given Cheep-Cheeps can be killed by physical damage, it's clear that Mario simply does not possess the "Jump-stomp attack" underwater. Thus it would be prudent to say that Bloober's physical resistance is indeterminate, much like Bowser's ID resistance.

Maybe.

I think it's also a bit of a stretch to assume that Mario can't jump on it = physical immunity. Nearly every enemy can be killed by having a koopa (or beetle) shell thrown at it, which is pretty physical to me!

Also just because stuff doesn't face status or ID at that point in-game generally doesn't mean they get a free pass on it, I think a fair amount of those people let those holes go through anyway (and pretty sure hacked Starman in >>>> Bowser for instance).

Otherwise lulz rank Pirahna Plant
