Obviously the name should represent the design teams ideals.
This game (and, ideally, those to follow) is born from two desires. The first, to let the DL's talents shine through. And those talents of course are being crazy math people, those who can look at numbers and from them deduce what makes the games they adore work. They want to take those principles, and assemble them into a stronger whole, one that's more engaging, more balanced, and better represents the core of RPGs as a genre. The second is to scoff in the face of conventional wisdom. To say that no, RPGs are not dead, turn-based systems are not archaic, and the future of the genre lies not in sloppily hybridizing with other genres, but in relaying the foundation of what makes RPGs unique.
Numbers enough to make anyone crosseyed. Rogues flipping off the masses.
Crosseye Rogues.
In any event I like the idea of having rogue in the name, but deliberately calling yourself Indie sits poorly with me.
