Yuri Hyuga (Shadow Hearts Series) vs Sanctuary Keeper (Final Fantasy X): Shadow Hearts games can block lots of things, but sleep isn't one. So... Photon Wings twice, collect victory. Yuri isn't winning this in two attacks (SK is PCish HP but more than halves damage).

Heavy

Red (SaGa Frontier) vs Flora (The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road): Flora 2HKOs and isn't 2HKOed. (Which is to say, she does 90% damage off 2PCHP). Flora's probably Godlike. Worst of a stupidly strong bunch is still strong.

Red (SaGa Frontier) vs Flora (The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road) - Red cringes as he gets embarrassed by a first boss in the DL. Who also happens to be a little girl. And then he cries and they begin -another- beautiful friendship. Watch for Flora, Zeal, Blue Mage, Velna and Red in the next season of My Little Witchy: Friendship is Violence. :honk:

Mallow (Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars) vs Aguro (Lufia and the Fortress of Doom) - I don't think Aguro even scrapes the 2HKO here, and he's definitely slower from turn two onwards. Great way to win him a fight, that.

Lots of her stuff isn't strictly magic (including her signature Maelstrom) in that isn't affected by PsychicPrison nor counts as magic for stat growth purposes. That says it does hit force defence which is more commonly associated of things I'd think of as pesudomagic. So it depends how all-encompassing Estelle's "magic immunity" is, i.e. if it gets pseudomagical things such as dragon breaths etc.

EDIT: Oh and obviously Mystic weapons and their chance of ID aren't even remotely magical.

There's also the fact that Estelle can't heal herself if she picks the mag. immunity if Pyro's documentation's on the spot. On paper, she risks getting owned by REGEN+GlassShield/HideRune cheese playing that song, to be quite honest.

Estelle cares about GlassShield/HideRune? She can cast MT/GT magic for damage (slower, but comparable damage output compared to her physical strings).

The Mystic Weapon ID is a thing though. I don't recall if there's ID blocking in ToV. I know that some bosses don't insta-die from Fatal Strikes, but I can't recall if the PCs ever face anything like ID. But I also don't know if Mystic Weapon ID should work against anything but Monsters, so it's a toss-up.

Mystic weapon ID works on everything that can be IDed. If it's not an absorbable enemy, it just dies. Also, MT doesn't pierce through GlassShield, just avoids the counter damage. And the glass shard damage from it is the -least- of your worries with GlassShield spam if you're not a horrible Light.

HideRune, then. Mesarthim is fast enough to alternate between both. HideRune for ST, GlassShield for MT - but I'm not sure it even matters. Given Regen+Mes durability and buffing, odds are Estelle risks getting outlasted through coup du grace if she goes magic-immune there. If she doesn't, it just gives Mes more options to win, on paper.

EDIT: Though I'm not even sure why I'm bothering, I'm sure CK already counted the sins at this point. >_>

Is Mesarthim's Regen that good? I get the feeling that Estelle may be able force a heal lock or glass shield lock if she goes physical offensive from the beginning? Thn again, I may be underselling her durability. Whatever, I like the match and you all suck for not voting on it.

Mesarthim's regen in a vacuum isn't that great (though not bad, it's 15% of her health each turn), it just combos well with her "invincibility until she attacks again" skill HideRune. Against someone with no dispel she can set up regen and then essentially can fullheal thereafter (though at a large time cost, so her opponent can heal/buff). Mesarthim can immune ID herself which I think is Estelle's way of settling long fights? While Estelle doesn't immune ID/stone back.

EDIT: HideRune also doesn't guard against MT, it must be noted. So it looks like Estelle can cast Holy Rain to hit her... but it also looks like Holy Rain just plain doesn't outpace the regen and runs her out of TP pretty fast.

(And the match has low vote totals because ToV's playership is kinda low and apparently doesn't cross over with Saga Frontier that well.)

Estelle also has the option to build up to a Mystic Arte if Mesarthim decides to stall that much. Though honestly I knee jerk that building up to a MA takes longer than Mesarthim's Regen. Flip side, if Mesarthim is hiding and healing, it gives Estelle plenty of time to unequip the Magic immunity weapon and heal up. I think Estelle also has some innate Regen and TP is regained through a few means as well. They are both duellers with a lot of options.

I think the only way Estelle takes it is if either you take Pow Hammer's Stun at 100% (9999 uses...) or if you let her switch equips-mid battle so she can turn on/off her magic immunity to really rip into something with an Overlimit chain-cast of Holy Rain while under the damage-doubling effects of Astion.

Since Mesa is ID immune that option is out.

At which piont Mesarthim can pretty much kill her at half HP thanks to coup de grace on mystic weapons? Yeah I think her healing lasts that long seeing as Estelle is immune to hers.
