Fire Emblem 4 (Gen 1 PCs)
« on: December 18, 2007, 11:48:50 PM »
Yes, I'm bored, what else is new <_< >_> For now, just grabbing stats for the first generation (since the 2nd Generation has...many issues outside a select few characters)

A few things to note:
I don't consider Cuan, Finn, Diadora or Ethlin into the averages. They are Temp PCs, and am only getting thier stats for completion. They'll be shown where they fall in terms of rank and such
I'm only allowing weapons and items the character starts with, or gets through certain events (Lex's Hero Axe via that random scene, Finn's Hero Lance, etc.) Yes, I could be lenient and allow items based on logic but...that opens a lot of holes. Oddly enough, Storeboughts are NOT Legal; every shop in FE4 is like the FFT Furshop, and trading equips isn't as easy as it is in FE7. End result is some characters get especially shafted
Levels taken at 30, promotions factored in if possible. 30 is the caps, and its reasonable for most PCs to hit that end game (I have barely started Chap 5, and I have 3 that are level 30, and a bunch of others who are approaching it) That, and it makes life easier.
Edain and Claude are NOT factored in for damage and Hit. This is just a big "DUH"
All Weapons have 50 Charges, UNLESS specified otherwise.
Also, I rounded down in every case...I probably shouldn't have, and might redo the stats with rounding up, but Laziness > me and such <_<

Weapon Triangle Advantage exists. I believe its +15% Hit for winning it, and -15% for losing it, no difference in damage. Its the same as FE7's for weapons, for Magic, its Fire > Wind > Lightning > Fire, while Dark and Light always win the WTA when against Other Magics.

Anyway...onto what the stats mean!

HP: <_<
Strength: Base for damage used by Swords, Axes, Bows and Lances. This + Might = Attack
Magic: Base for damage used by Light, Fire, Wind, Dark, and Thunder Magic, as well as healing. Also factors in for some specail weapon effects, which will be noted when it does (basically, if I say something is "Magical", then it factors in magic, otherwise, physical)
Skill: This * 2 = Base Hit. Also factored in for some special skills
Speed: Base stat for AS (using the FE7 term since FE4 doesn't actually show this stat), factored in for evasion, and a few skills. Also, note that there is in game proof that Speed DOES effect how fast you are in terms of who goes first. In the Arena, unlike FE7, you don't always act first, but rather, whoever's speed is higher goes first
Defense: Every point of this, subtract one from physical damage <_<
Magic Defense: Magic Version of Defense, OMG!
Luck: Near as I can tell, all this does is boost evade by 1 Point for each level...might also play a role in some skills though.

Equipped Stats:
Attack: Character's Strength/Magic + Weapon Might
Hit: Skill * 2 + Weapon's Hit
AS: Speed - Weapon Weight (this value CAN drop below 0, and yes, you do get penalized for that)
Evade: AS * 2 + Luck (like above, this value can be negative, and thus, penalizes you likewise)
Note: For these, I'm assuming the default weapon (the one bolded)

Onto the Characters!

Equipment:
Tyrfing: 30 Might, 7 Weight, 80 Hit, Melee, +20 to Skill, +10 Speed, +10 to Magic Defense, grants same effect as "Prayer"

Average: 9

Damages:
Note: I'm taking damage's vs. Average defenses, since enemies are oddly similar to your team defensively. This isn't perfect, but its easier on my side anyway.
Note that I'm too lazy to factor in Skill damage yet. I am factoring damage with Hero Weapons mind (doubling it, basically. Will be noted if high damage is due to multiple hits via Hero Weapon by a (#x2) following the listed damage)
(Cuan 54)
1. Lex 52 (26 x2)
2. Brigid 50
3. Levin 48

Not Listed: Edain and Claude, since they have no means of doing damage legally (for all that they technically can in game and such)

Average AS:
Not doing normal speed since that doesn't matter in practice (its really just a base)

15. Azel 12
16. Arden 10
17. Sylvia 9
(Finn 7)
18. Lex 5
(Cuan 5)
(Diadora -6)
Average: 18

Note: Not factoring in Claude or Edain into the averages here (though I'm listing them) just cause they can't attack, and have no legal weapons so its a bit inflated and such.

Evade, Speed, and Hit Averages coming soon, as well as damage after factoring in skills and stuff. Me = lazy and such <_<

Courtesy of Sage, SKILL INFO! This is quoted from him directly:

*Smacks people around.* You need to visit FESS more.

(Okay, so the topic that detailed all the skill triggers/effects was a while back, that's beside the point. >_>)

Anyhow...

Quote:
[brackets] indicate iffy stuff

These are just the effects, remember. Some of them look weird on their own without their chances/requirements nearby.

Big Shield: 100% evasion chance. [Earth Sword/Resire effect does not activate, alternatively, Big Shield cannot activate against Earth Sword/Resire. I give up trying to figure out what it says :<]

Wrath: 100% chance of performing a critical attack.

Pursuit: A repeated attack is performed.

Continue: A continued attack (and possibly another repeated attack) is performed.

Steal: After the battle, the enemy's possessed gold is taken. In the case of both units having Steal, the last person to activate it 'wins'. [Or the one which has pursuit, regardless; or a pursuit attack hitting last is disregarded; can't figure this part out]

Awareness: Enemy Critical, effectivenesses, Wrath, Meteor/Moonlight/Solar Sword, are all nullified.

Prayer: [The round as much as possible - WTF?] evasion is raised by ((11 - remaining HP) x 10)%. [Only activates in Arena if you have low enough health when you enter].

Critical (Berserk): A critical attack is performed.

Ambush: A pre-emptive attack is performed. Has no effect if the enemy activates Duel (ie: if the enemy activates Duel, you won't attack first again).

Duel: The battle is continued. [Something about one's usual HP and the arena I can't make out].

Solar Sword: On a successful hit, the damage done in the attack recovers the attacker's hitpoints.

Live: At the start of the phase, the a number of the unit's hitpoints are recovered.

Dance: Further actions may be taken with the (up to) 4 adjacent friendly units. When used inside the main castle, all friendly units inside are effected.

Charisma: Units within a range of three map squares are given a supporting effect. [10% I believe, but it doesn't mention this o_O]

Elite: The value of experience received is doubled.

Bargain: All costs of purchases in a shop, and repairing of equipment, is reduced by half.
