If he opts for cheese like auto-Suku, spamming the non-damage tangling status solves problems flat, then it's just spamming his awful damage with status attached in ten billion ways for the win.
Terra Branford (Final Fantasy VI) vs Jade (Breath of Fire) - Rub!
Claude Kenni (Star Ocean: The Second Story) vs Rubicante (Final Fantasy IV) - While Claude should have something to wall fire with, not sure it uh matters unless he outright immunes it.

Maya Schroedinger (Wild ARMs 3) vs Queen Zeal (Chrono Trigger) - Zeal is faster, but rams straight into Calamity Jane range with any damage she deals, 3HKOs and misses a 4-3. So, she's eating two Calamity Janes straight and I really don't see her living through two of those.
Alfina (Grandia III) vs Alicia (Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria) - Paralysis blocker, stall the hell out of Alfina until she runs out of SP works. She won't deal any damage until a fair deal into the fight, but does she really have to?
Nina (Breath of Fire) vs Clarissa Arwin (Wild ARMs XF) - So it is. Clarissa is so screwed when she gets outsped.

Middle

Palom (Final Fantasy IV) vs Elaine (Suikoden III) - Sigh. SL is slower.
Hippopressor (Mega Man X: Command Mission) vs Rouge (SaGa Frontier) - I think he just outslugs in spite of Rouge having MT and ranged to deal with the missiles? Rouge's slugfesting is pretty awful.
Blanca (Shadow Hearts: Covenant) vs Peter (Shining Force II) - Heal-locks pretty easily and avoids Colorful Comb range.

His best bet is Ultima, then quadracast, then two more quadracasts as these will be halved. This lets Cid get off one Ruin x3 and two Seraphic Rays. .. wait, Seraphic Ray is non-typed. Never mind, this analysis is over.

Alfina (Grandia III) vs Alicia (Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria): Blocks paralysis... should be fine from there? Alfina may be able to sneak out a win with Armageddon, but kneejerk is no.
Nina (Breath of Fire) vs Clarissa Arwin (Wild ARMs XF): This is close. Nina will of course use Wall immediately which nulls out Sacrifice (and the resulting counter will hurt Clarissa badly enough to make further Sacrifices weak), so Clarissa is stuck 4HKOing with Howling Shot. Can she set up a Rob Turn chain that lets her win? Uh... probably not, since initiative healing would mess with things too much. The whole "Clarissa against people faster than her" thing... and even if Nina isn't in general, she is at enough things that matter.

Middle

Palom (Final Fantasy IV) vs Elaine (Suikoden III): Ugh.
Hippopressor (Mega Man X: Command Mission) vs Rouge (SaGa Frontier): 5HKOs, has a 5-4, isn't 3HKOed. Kinda sad.
Blanca (Shadow Hearts: Covenant) vs Peter (Shining Force II): You don't survive being heal-locked by Peter, he'll double attack you eventually. Peter's speed only matters for first turn, SH2 has a tight speed curve, so Blanca gets at most one doubleturn before Peter kills him. Since Peter has good HP and isn't weak to wind like Alexia, that's that.
Cleo (Suikoden) vs Etna (Disgaea: Hour of Darkness): For the record, Cleo wins this without the fire rune. She's faster and both 3HKO each other (Etna's close to a 2HKO but misses it), and she's long range to avoid counters. With a fire rune that just becomes a 2HKO on Cleo's end.

I see Zeal at roughly 1.75x PC HP. I'm pretty sure you'd see it as higher - anything at 1.9x PC HP and above would etch a win for Zeal, since I really can't see Maya as above 1.2x PC HP herself even considering your more generous scaling (and even if you do, would that even win it for her? 2.3x PC HP... yeah, maybe).

Doubles on the PC end, IIRC, require you being faster than the enemy, so that venue is out! HOWEVER, crits are just as good. Otherwise, yeah, pretty much agreed with the assessment.

I doubt that. Jaha is listed as 49 speed in the stat topic but has one of the highest double rates in the cast, and in particular, I think every single endgame enemy is well above 49.

Only in the sense that nothing in G3 "immunes" paralysis, just reduces its duration to 0 seconds. So sure, you can hype Stun Force as lasting 0 seconds against a paralysis-immune Alicia if you'd like. (The only difference between it lasting 0 seconds and missing entirely is a cancel effect.)

Fuck no. P4 evasion did -not- catch no-damage status attacks and Thanatos has plenty of those, all at perfect hit rate. He only needs one to land to make the evade irrelevant, anyway.

Rub was rare as well?  Sounds entirely plausible, forgot that.  I don't let Jade spam his rare moves either, so assuming Rub is being hyped as turn 3, that makes it more like turn 6 to me, and every Rub miss allows an Ultima rather than Drain, and BoltX is immuned anyway so Drain doesn't need to be used very much...   okay vote changed to Terra.

Jade has enough HP that turn 6 ID should still be good enough. He's not dying to five Terra turns unless you do some weird "scale down his HP due to AI" thing, which you shouldn't if you're going to hit his AI in other ways.

25000 HP taken against even 400 average damage * 4 * 2.5 is still over 6PCHP, and BoF1 average damage isn't that high anyway since nothing breaks 400 except Puka (generously assuming Puka in damage averages here).

You could penalize bof1 jade and myria for facing agni and assume the 'round' for all of Agni's damage over some longer period is just the original summoning one. Some folks hold FFX bosses against summons in this way and so on. as for me I just Don't give Jade wins to Rub on account of rarity.

Well, he just uses it to run stuff like Auto-Suku out. -After- that, he spams the non-elemental, damage-inflicting status like petrify and locks him down until he dies. Yu always has to spend at least one turn in the status before recovering from it, so he can't really muster a comeback.

Yeah, the point being that ultimately Yu can't make any real headway. Without Hassou Tobi, Yu's offense is junk (he needs like Auto-Taru+Amps AND Boosts along with the egregiously expensive L4s in order to even achieve averagish damage? And that's ramming into Thanatos' elemental resistances+mdef? Yeah no), and he honestly has to -start- in a form with the status healing (which I assume can't be inherited by Yoshitsune, for starters, and I'd honestly slap a sanity clause in order to not get the inheritance possibilities into completely crazy realm. Not to mention there are only eight ability slots per persona... he would need Amp+Boost+L4+status healing+healing+possibly elemental resistance skills in order to either wall an element or mitigate a weakness or -both-... at some point, he just runs out of options in a single persona) in order to not get perenially locked into a status loop. His inheritance and persona shuffling game -does- have its limitations.

Had to delete a post I made with wrong info.  Anyway, one guide said that Petrify was like Frosty, but failed to mention that if all PCs are petrified, it's game over...  At least, according to another guide.
