In light of everything exploding in Boston, are there any DLers in the area? I seem to recall Idun lived near there. Everyone all right?
I don't live in downtown/Back Bay; I live in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood
in Boston but ~4 miles from Boylston Street. I have about six friends who couldn't get out, two friends that were runners and none who had children thankfully. Called a close friend only to hear her panicking, her sister was in front of the first bomb but wasn't severely hurt. So Copley is closed down today. I tried to ignore calls/texts because I was waiting to hear about other bombs that may have been set off and/or found (part commute, primarily fear) --- one found in the JFK library which was originally considered unrelated; according to WEEI, there was one found down on Comm Ave, which is BU's stomping grounds; Northeastern students were told to stay in, so I'm not sure if any bombs were near them. See, JFK is in "South Shore," or literally the Eastern Shore of Boston, and was much further from the bombing than where I live. I'm not sure they've released where the several other bombs were found.
Edit* going to toss three flowers there if security allows.
