Moved in with a friend today. Kiiinda weird, since he still lives with his parents, but they had spare rooms that they usually let to students during summer months. Still sucks that I had to move 5 months before I move away /anyway/, but whatever.

At GDC, I met a designer from ubisoft called Kaitlyn (she randomly sat down beside me at the women in games lunch).  And at my new job, there is a Katelyn animator.  (This is in addition to the Caitlin I already knew, but hadn't worked with before).

Three and a half hours of concert with Robert Smith being a godlike frontman. Two encores. The Cure may as well be the best damn concert I've ever been to.

Not the best I ever went to, but yeah that was similar to my experience when I caught them a few years ago.  No support, just a them playing most of the night and going through pretty much every era of them as a band.

I'm sure I'll attend enough concerts in my life that it'll go down in the rankings eventually. But yeah, that was pretty much it. And Robert Smith still sounds very much the same as he did twenty-seven years ago. His voice is Dorian Grey.

Want to know how telecommunication corporations screw you all over?

Here we had a major private operator (Free) come in with very aggressive pricing last year.
Two plans:
- 20 euros / month: Unlimited text messages + unlimited calls + 3G Internet (Unlimited but with reduced speed after 3Go)
- 2 euros / month: Unlimited text messages + 2 hours calls (Text messages are seriously that cheap for them)
No issues whatsoever. Every other company panicked and had to drastically lower prices (or offer 4G) fast to stay competitive.

Hoping something similar happens in every country. I've looked at the AT&T plan page and I'm sad for all of you.

Pricing is poorly spread, really.

MetroPCS is growing in numbers and provides comparatively lower costs; it originally stuck to you having reception only in one city, but apparently coverage is expanding pretty awesomely. No iPhone, but many Androids and allegedly the new Blackberry.
