Admiral Adama decides to throw the Galactica into danger to protect the rest of the fleet. Several more ships, both friend and foe, are now engaged in the battle.

Lady Door chose -1 Morale and adding raiders/civilian ships to the board. After the crisis, Raiders activate and move, and Jump Prep is increased.

Turn 28 - Current Board

Alarms blare as even more Cylon ships approach the fleet's location. The Galactica has only just finished it's own FTL calcluations and there's no guarantee that the civilian ships are ready to jump. Admiral Adama must decide whether to take that risk or hope they can protect the fleet long enough for everyone to jump safely...

The Basestar attack rolls were both 1. No damage to Galactica. 7 Raiders, 1 Heavy Raider, 3 Civilian Ships, and 2 Vipers are added to the game board.

Since it had been over 24 hours since the jump action was declared and nobody mentioned playing anything, I made the roll. The d8 roll for the jump was 8, no population is lost. Destinations are being sent to the Admiral.

By the way, I chose to discard a Piloting 1-Evasive Maneuvers in order to get from my Viper to inside Galactica so I could trigger the jump.

Turn 28 - Current Board

The FTL jump is made mostly without incident, but the jump landed in an asteroid field and one of the civilian ships jumps directly into an asteroid, destroying it instantly with all aboard lost.

Lady Door chose Asteroid Field as the destination. Distance 3. Lose 2 Fuel. Then draw 1 Civilian ship and destroy it, losing the resources on the back. The civilian ship had 1 Population.

Admiral Adama finds himself wondering just what exactly President Baltar has been up to, hiding out on Colonial One for the entire voyage. After all, who has been handling the jumps and keeping the civilians safe? Certainly not Baltar. The thought of just relieving Baltar of his position crosses his mind...

My inclination is to say the morale? I believe we still have to deal with population loss on the last jump, so we need a bit of room to shield it. But mmm. Nitori has been being a decent president.

For what it's worth, I'm okay with the downside to the -1 Pop. I just don't want to lose anymore population. We're screwed if we bottom out in any of the categories, though, right? So hell if I know what our "safest" option is. Especially since this crisis won't even advance our jump prep.

Basically, you get the title and the Quorum cards that Nitori has, and you start making the decisions on crisis cards that say President's Choice.

Admiral Adama decides that Martial Law is indeed necessary, and assumes the duties of the President along with the Admiral's duties. The civilian population of the fleet does not agree with this development, but aside from some minor grumbling there are no immediate problems from them.

Sir Alex has preloaded drawing Piloting and Politics, and activating Caprica for crisis cards.
