Godlike:

Lamington (Disgaea) vs Profound Darkness (PS4)
Jade (BoF1) vs Sephiroth (FF7)- Good question. Jade wins HP and damage, Seph wins speed and has barrier.

Heavy:

Teepo (BoF3) vs Chaz Ashley (PS4)- I think Chaz gets heal locked if he resists Howling. He has to resist Howling here (Assuming the stat topic numbers are right).  He might be able to outlast if his resources were better, but as it is Teepo is too much.  EDIT: Oooh. Daggers. Shield+Dagger means no heal lock and really limits the effectiveness of Howling.
Aldelbert Steiner (FF9) vs T260G (SaGa)- *squish*

Middle:

Justin (G1) vs Nash (Lunar:SSSC)- Status.
Rand (BoF2) vsAgrias Oaks (FFT)- Should be able to get a fatal Crush Punch.

Light:

Lezard Valeth (VPs) vs Jacques (S3)
Rikku (FFX) vs Meg (Suikos)- Heal till overdrive.

Aldelbert Steiner (FF9) vs T260G (SaGa)

Middle:

Justin (G1) vs Nash (Lunar:SSSC) - Something works here, surely.
Rand (BoF2) vs Agrias Oaks (FFT) - I guess?  Apathy.

Light:

Rikku (FFX) vs Meg (Suikos)

Godlike:

Lamington (Disgaea) vs Profound Darkness (PS4): More HP.
Jade (BoF1) vs Sephiroth (FF7): Always vote for more HP.

Heavy:

Teepo (BoF3) vs Chaz Ashley (PS4): Why does confuse scare Chaz exactly? BoF3 confuse is scary in-game, but not in a duel. I guess if you see Teepo as faster, but I don't.
Aldelbert Steiner (FF9) vs T260G (SaGa): Trashcan taking Heavy to the trash

Middle:

Justin (G1) vs Nash (Lunar:SSSC): Status.
Rand (BoF2) vs Agrias Oaks (FFT): Uh this is pretty close. Agrias likely misses the 4-3 but... sure I buy her not being 3HKOed between good HP (she can optimise for it) and a shield.

Light:

Lezard Valeth (VPs) vs Jacques (S3): Spiritual Thorn killin' all the Lights.
Rikku (FFX) vs Meg (Suikos): Heals until overdrive.

Erwin Schrödinger will kill you like a cat in a box.
Maybe.

Godlike:

Lamington (Disgaea) vs Profound Darkness (PS4)
Jade (BoF1) vs Sephiroth (FF7) - I tend to hold Agni against BoF1 boss HP these days.

Heavy:

Teepo (BoF3) vs Chaz Ashley (PS4) - Not like it matters who wins here since...
Aldelbert Steiner (FF9) vs T260G (SaGa) - Yeah...

Middle:

Justin (G1) vs Nash (Lunar:SSSC)
Rand (BoF2) vs Agrias Oaks (FFT) - Healing, general disrespect for 25% status.

Light:

Lezard Valeth (VPs) vs Jacques (S3) - Boss Lezard.
Rikku (FFX) vs Meg (Suikos)

Siricco just scraps a 2HKO. Teepo has just enough physical and magical damage to where Howling would be a serious problem. Shieldless Chaz might pull this out (Physic shield/ceramic?) stops the 2HKO of both types and Howling, but he has TP problems if he goes that route.

Godlike:

Lamington (Disgaea) vs Profound Darkness (PS4)- Isn't spoiled.
Jade (BoF1) vs Sephiroth (FF7)

Heavy:

Teepo (BoF3) vs Chaz Ashley (PS4)- Chaz should be faster and... Teepo's using triple blow here so he can't guarantee a heal lock.  I guess maths might prove Chaz doesn't get enough turns to win before running out of healing but.
Aldelbert Steiner (FF9) vs T260G (SaGa)

Middle:

Justin (G1) vs Nash (Lunar:SSSC)- Nash... should get two shots here.  I'm not sure he needs them but he has them.
Rand (BoF2) vs Agrias Oaks (FFT)

I'm pretty sure Ceramic anything screws Teepo away from 2HKOing Chaz with Sirocco and jesus, it's a goddamn half HP limit.

Jade (BoF1) vs Sephiroth (FF7) - Jade has like 4x Seph's HP and about 40% more damage. Having 45% more speed doesn't cut it to swing things against BoltX.

Heavy:

Teepo (BoF3) vs Chaz Ashley (PS4) - Hi I'm Teepo, my status sucks against Chaz (not being really scary in-DL anyway) and I can't 2HKO him either. Quack-quack.
Aldelbert Steiner (FF9) vs T260G (SaGa) - T2 in Heavy. Jesus fuck T2 in Heavy.

Middle:

Justin (G1) vs Nash (Lunar:SSSC) - All the status, all the status.
Rand (BoF2) vs Agrias Oaks (FFT) - I think a 5-4 is a pretty safe assumption here, and given how I suspect Rand can even miss the effective 4HKO to Agrias between HP and shields...

Light:

Lezard Valeth (VPs) vs Jacques (S3) - Spiritual lols.
Rikku (FFX) vs Meg (Suikos) - Once again, if you're giving Rikku that much time to give her an Overdrive and you're vulnerable to status, you earned it so bad.

Godlike:

Lamington (Disgaea) vs Profound Darkness (PS4) - yeah this one's a no-brainer.
Jade (BoF1) vs Sephiroth (FF7) - I hold Sephiroth to his pattern, which is a bit more rigidly defined, it seems, than Jade's.  And has a big cluster of stuff that just doesn't work.

Middle:

Rand (BoF2) vs Agrias Oaks (FFT) - Yeah, I can buy shield hype here.  Not so sure on speed hype given how i tend to interp TB speed, but definitely shield hype.

Light:

Lezard Valeth (VPs) vs Jacques (S3) - boss lezard in light

In fairness, Lezard can be nasty if you do not know how to game the system. I think it is just saner to use PC Lezard.

That goes for -every game with any sort of elaborate twinking ever- and we've already gone about how assuming the player doesn't have the knowledge to handle the system is bad form for boss scaling. But yes, using PC Lezard is the sane alternative, because some of the design decisions over VP2 boss Lezard make him a borderline uninterpretable mess.

I'm not sure how much I like holding Sephiroth to moves that won't work on Jade despite working fine in-game (and in the case of Super Nova/Heartless Angel, Jade's "immunity" to them is a DL construction). I'd suggest that if you do hold bosses to patterns like this, you let them skip that sort of move against other bosses. I'd also suggest holding Jade to his in-game AI too as a matter of fairness; it feels wrong to give "choose random moves" bosses a free pass while hurting patterned bosses.

None of this matters because Jade wins regardless, but just sayin'.
