Started, but I don't know what I am doing. Yesiu.jpeg. Name is YiuNegato. Yes I'm boring compared to OK.

EDIT: Built this in the morning. Still don't know what I am doing.

EDIT 2: Revised more because I felt like I was half-assing crit without bonus mults and cut back on some accuracy/blocking buffs in exchange for more elemental resistances and other passives.  Could use some opinions.

EDIT 3: Now with 100% more Laggy

I haven't followed the story at all.
But I liked the part with the giant seal in the way in some forest ruins. Yattaf just pushes it because it's in a way. Everything turns purple and black shadows start appearing in the sky. Yattaf doesn't care and goes back to killing spiders.
I'd have liked to see Verdelet from Darkengard reacting to this. (Then again, I don't expect giant flying cannibal babies coming from the sky from all of this in this game, only a reasonably sized act 2 boss)

Tide: Looking at your build, a couple things that may or may not be good ideas:

1. Presuming that 1 Handed damage applies while dual wielding, south of the first Might (+30STR) node you take you can take 3 points to get to Water Dancing, and much more importantly get the life bonuses south of that much, much earlier in your build than you're getting them now.  You're looking really light on life until like, level 20 (Early Act 2), when you take your second batch of life nodes.  This would get you to Golem's blood by level 16 or so (End of Act 1) assuming you pick up the closest life nodes first then race toward Golem's blood. This lets you have a lot more durability for the End of Act 1 fight. Considering you're not taking any big dual wielding bonuses until much later, this still might be a good idea even if the 1 handed bonuses DON'T apply when Dual Wielding

Bonus, these points can be refunded once you go around the loop anyway.

2. I'm not so sure you want to lock yourself into swords? At least not plan on it.  Having the ability to pick up a nice one handed weapon that isn't a sword is pretty nice, especially since as long as you have the gems equipped, sword techs and mace techs level up at the same rate even if you can't use them.

EDIT: Laggy.  My build.  3 +10 strength nodes for 8% life x2 and 12%life x1, connecting north from the nodes I'm taking to get to Resolute Technique.  28/6=4.66% life bonus.  Nothing else really useful to me that direction except for that, unless I go toward Vaal pact and pick up another set of 3 life nodes as well (after another 3 +10s).  Worth it?

Act 2 final dungeon / boss + Act 3 are kicking my ass. I'm grabbing those energy shield nodes to survive more. (Slightly leaning towards recovery instead of just plain energy shield now) Surprising no one, I've started using Ice Spear a lot more. My belt, circlet and one of my rings are downright terrible.
At least I Pwnzd some n00b at PVP. 5-0. Fighting an ice witch is an awful experience.

Being able to survive shit only gets more important when you get into Cruel and Merciless where enemy offense spikes dramatically each time and you start losing XP on death.

So yeah emphasize living. I hope you aren't specced into Chaos Innoculation *already*, that is going to be hard if you are. Also note that for Energy Shield builds your base ES is especially important since unlike Life it doesn't gain up on level, so you need to find equipment that has a solid ES base.

Yeah I'm not that crazy. My life points are energy shield are already roughly respectively 290 and 660 though. Any time the shield is down to 25% I get the hell out of there. I went back to Quicksilver flasks because my life/mana flasks are nearly useless.

New planned build:

Current build:

Frostbite and Enfeeble are both fantastic and I hate thinking about when I'll go try and get those 9 nodes up there.
Clarity is starting to eat all my mana (200/300), I think I should stop levelling it up. (But I like seeing the grey pattern on my mana sphere)

How exactly is a chaos innoculation build supposed to even work.  Is Chaos damage so ubiquitous in higher difficulties that it's really worth having to rely entirely on Energy Shield for HP?

Every other area will usually have at least one annoying chaos-using enemy (spitters are most common), and on Merciless you get slapped with a -60% penalty to all resistances innately, including Chaos. Chaos resistance is all but impossible to find ("all" resistance bonuses only mean Fire/Cold/Lightning). Chaos damage ignores Energy Shield. For Int-primary users wearing ES armor, this kind of means getting oneshotted by chaos damage on higher difficulties is completely normal unless they also invest heavily in Life nodes.

If you build right (stack energy shield and resistances), enemies that don't do chaos damage will have a very difficult time getting through it.  On the other hand, chaos damage enemies can kill you pretty easily unless you find chaos resist gear (hard and sacrifices other stats), invest in life nodes (sacrifices other passives), or take Chaos Innoculation (sacrifices a few passives, but if you're already near it then less than investing in life nodes).

I would've needed to take nearly +100% worth of life nodes to survive some of the chaos damage in Merciless Act 3.  That's pretty hard to get in the witch area.  On the other hand, getting Chaos Innoculation took 2-3 points.  I wouldn't really suggest grabbing it on anything other than a witch or shadow, unless your build was up in that corner for some reason.

Also keep in mind that my HP was only about 25% of my total durability.  Losing that was not a big deal.

Finished the game once. Nice. 3 points away from Whispers of Doom.

What's better, not using the energy shield aura and waiting until MP gets higher/costs get lower thanks to passive gems or something, grabbing mana nodes to use the energy shield aura, restarting another witch to get a lower level Clarity to use both (meh)?

Discipline kind of sucks, best to just turn it off for now.

So I have been playing this. I am on Act II doing sidequestan' before continuing with the plot. I have this guy, he is a Shadow, his name is Fleetfootnuker, and I have a shiny weapon (lavender/purple effect for him) and a dance move, I also want the adorable shiny Spectral Basilisk lizard for a pet but no way I'm paying $30 for it, at least not off hand >_> I am not very good and die all the time even though I'm only on Normal, but despite the constant abject lessons in humility I am diggin' this game. I like the visuals, music, concept, etc and the character customisation~

This is my tree -

https://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgYAAv4PqyHALEY8vULDUEJd8l_hbWxte3DVfjOMNpXpnWOkkaSxsw61SMqP2mTed9-E5Y7_kw==

I am currently running a bow in my main hand in my first weapon slot and claws in my second. For right had I have a quiver (Fate Stinger) for my bow and a shield (Damnation Bulwark) for my claws~

Actually I think I mixed that up and my bow is in the second slot on the main hand, and claws in the first >_>, but the bow is what I use most often so far.

Skill set up looks like -

Bow: Physical - Main hand does 6-10 Cold damage, main hand does 6-10 Fire damage, main hand does 7-19 Physical damage, Clarity L3, Freezing Pulse L7, Poison Arrow L7, Ice Nova L7, Fire Trap L7

Claw - Physical - Main hand does 5-9 Fire damage, Main hand does 6-15 Physical damage, Double Strike L7, Freezing Pulse L7 Shock Nova L5, Tempest Shield L4, Fire Trap L7.

I also keep a L1 Detonate Dead around to assign incase I round into any necromancers~

Heheh  ;D First time at this sort of thing proper online yeah as far as I remember. I think I tried the free Runescape like years ago or sometime but never went far/did much with it and I lost access to a computer for a while so. Closest thing offline/console I've played is I dunno Radiant Mythology 3? I've also played Devil May Cry 3, some MGS and Resident Evil!, stuffs like that. Oh and some Summoner but yeeaah Summoner owww >_> Ok not really the same kind of things but yeah~

I wasn't sure if my laptop was going to be able to run it but it seems to be doing ok so far~

It was a friend who let me know about it/kind of got me into it, and since I knew other peeps as well from the DL were playing too, so there's this topic for advices and stuff as well yeah~

It is a neat little pocket genre that grew out of a niche market and has a disproportional market presence.  Important bit of gaming history for me, so interested in how you take to it (since you tend to favour the action combat stuff and immerse yourself in them to a more hardcore level than I do, so I like the perspective).
