Okay, so here's what I've found, but it hinges on someone being able to take me to LAX on Tuesday:

Arrive in San Francisco on Tue 7/9 @ 4:10 PM

Depart from LAX on Tue 7/16 @ 1:20 PM

Will this work? Can someone get me to the airport that Tuesday? It's a difference of like $170 if I make it monday instead...

Something could certainly be worked out; worse comes to worse, there are shuttles from my area to the airport that are relatively inexpensive.

Chances are, I'm probably gonna need a ride to the airport around the same time as Djinn, so I'll keep that in-mind, based on the tentative times I'm looking at.

Though, in the situation of me getting a flight after his, I'm totally fine with spending a few hours in the airport if need be.

Of course, if the shuttle is taken, then this is all totally meaningless!

Waiting until the job stuff settles itself (oh god I hope one of them actually hires me), but planning on booking a room in the next 2-3 weeks.

Anyone interested in sharing a place? We're looking for a vacation rental rather than a hotel, if possible. May have more than 1 bed or sleeping space! Someone is welcome to cuddle with Andy, though I will warn you he thrashes about like he's fighting off sharks.

Rough plan is to stay Wednesday, July 10-Monday, July 15th (check out Tuesday). Staying less than that time is fine, too, just want to know the max number of people who might be crashing with us so I can pick a place big enough.

I have 4 people that are interested in rooming -- that's me and Andy and two others. Anyone else? I want to get this room booked before the end of this weekend. I'm still looking at vacation rentals, because I like to live like a normal human being. Current top contender for that is on 8th Street in Alhambra, which near as I can tell is 10 minutes away from Niu (just north of the 10) for $80/night. May find something closer if more people are interested, or I get a lucky break, or whatever.

If we don't book a vacation rental, 90% sure we'll end up in Floral Inn. Hard to beat $72/night and near all the action. Just means the other two people sharing the room need to duke it out over the other queen bed.

Yeah, just wondering which of the hotels would be ideal overall, or alternatively, which of them most other people are staying at.  I'd rather keep things consistent in that regard.

Or has no one chosen any Hotels yet?  Either way, this would be a good point to recommend a specific one.

Floral Inn

I know at least one group of people will be staying there. It is also the most convenient one as it is very close to my home and with a grocery store close by. It is also pretty cheap.
The only downside that I know about that place is the wall being a bit thin.

That said, I am CONFIRMED to come as in I got my Arrival ticket...well, sort of.  More accurately, my mother stumbled upon a good deal at a convenient time, and got it for me when I was unavailable, so don't quite have the details yet.  From what I understand, I arrive at about 9:30 at LAX, so pencil that in for me or something.  I'll get more specific details once I actually have them, but yeah, I should be good.

Will work on hotel tonight!
