Nadesico (Super Robot Wars J) vs Elc (Arc the Lad II) - Elc simply -HAS- to cast Invincible to not die and he simply -can't- get around Alert cheese. Nadesico runs him out of resources far faster than he could hope to.

Super Soldier (Wild ARMs 4) vs Thage (Eternal Poison) - 2HKOs and insta-doubles at worst.


Andre (Shadow Hearts: Covenant) vs Kain Highwind (Final Fantasy IV) - Jesus.
Olivya Phoraena (Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together) vs Melody Vilente (Wild ARMs 3) - Olivya doesn't ever break past Melody's barrier in practice and poizn alone outpaces the healing. This is still heart-rendingly sad.

Uh.  DHE's notes on El Jackson is that he didn't test Misery?  If El Jackson immunes it he wins, if he doesn't he loses.  Tiebreaking against him mostly because if he resists Misery, he still probably loses - Kloe can go Anti-Sept -> Radiant Plash if it misses -> 2nd Anti-Sept attempt before losing, so she has two shots of a base 100% hit rate, so it'd have to be a heck of a good resistance.

Olivya Phoraena (Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together) vs Melody Vilente (Wild ARMs 3)
Melody's damage is MAGICAL.  And is exactly a 4HKO according to Meeple's numbers.  Olivya's healing can basically keep up with 4HKOs by default, and she's 6HKO'd by magic or something.  She's only ever inflicting damage off Wrathful Strikes, but those may turn off Melody's counters, and it may not matter anyway - she can wait until she has a bit of spare MP in the tank before Wrathful Striking, then cure the poison, then resume healing.  It's possible the Wrathful Strikes fail to break the barrier, I guess, but, eh.  Takes years but think this is Olivya's.

Satanial (Star Ocean: The Last Hope) vs Reicher (Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy): Yeah, Reicher has this. Remote Blade is light element, which Satanail is weak to. I'm fairly certain Satanail's best damage is physical, which hits Reicher's good durability there. Satanail's very likely still about twice as durable, but Remote Blade hitting a weakness is just too gross.

Middle

Kloe (Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky) vs El Jackson (Wild ARMs XF): You don't have Misery at that point. That said, confuse and sleep are fairly similar statuses and they hit El Jackson, so eh.

Light

Andre (Shadow Hearts: Covenant) vs Kain Highwind (Final Fantasy IV): Fake Ring. Assuming it functions the same in SH2 as it does in SH3, it is effectively blind since the player can't predict the fake and will thus miss half the time. Andre goes second and only 4HKOs, so even if Kain gets lucky and lands 2/3 hits thereafter, he only manages 66% PCHP damage. Even with my low SH2 boss respect, I think Andre can survive that. (Also Blood Spear doesn't deal with Andre-level damage even if Andre didn't have blind.)
Olivya Phoraena (Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together) vs Melody Vilente (Wild ARMs 3): Shady (who has similar damage) only barely lost to Olivya, so I think the poison counter (which special abilities in WA3 do trigger, for the record) pushes her over the top.

Andre (Shadow Hearts: Covenant) vs Kain Highwind (Final Fantasy IV)- Higher SH 2 boss HP respect=Andre just flat outslugs
Olivya Phoraena (Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together) vs Melody Vilente (Wild ARMs 3)- Maybe if her best healing didn't cannibalize her sole source of source (and at least she could thwack Shady on any turns that it didn't really matter and build TP more quickly. Not even an option here unless constantly running under Posion)
