Shocking news.

http://indiecorner.wordpress.com/2008/02/01/idm-artist-the-flashbulb-leaks-his-new-album-on-torrent-site/

So this new album I grabbed to check it out and have been kind of blown away by?  Figured I would look it up and buy it.  This turned up.

An entire Guitar Hero game based on Aerosmith+some artists that opened during their concerts. What the fuck?
Don't think of it as a novel. Think of it as a chance to retroactively win every argument you have ever walked away from.

Not that I don't like Aerosmith, but... of all the bands to do this for, they pick Aerosmith?  Really?  Not Van Halen?  Not Led Zepplen?  Not... hell, any number of historic bands with more complex guitar parts?  Really?  I hope it wasn't their first choice.

Led Zepplin is pretty notorious for being very stubbon about giving the rights to use their songs/covers, to be fair. No idea why they didn't do Van Halen or whoever. Apparently the guitarist is a big fan of the games, maybe that had something to do with it.

Need Battle Armor For My Kitty Cat (brentwood / oakley)

Need some one to craft light weight battle armor for my cat. He's been getting mugged by some local hood cats.

Need some sort of light steel to protect legs, cranium, and body. It's important he doesn't lose his agility and stealth, and his stamina isn't drained from the weight.

Thank you!

Man, and I thought wavedashing was bad.  Ice Climbers' chain grab and Peach's turnip dash look like they make for annoying fights.  Windwanker Link's stall... well, it looks only slightly more annoying than what Fox/Falco can do with their reflectors, so that's not too bad.  Infinite jumps... well, just screw that.

It's not really infinite jumps, since you can't do it over air.  More like certain moves giving 0 landing lag.  Game's looking to have too many easy infinites, though - that article didn't even mention that you can infinite pin people against any wall with any quick-spamming neutral A.

It does show the infinite Falco laser, though, which is similarly worrying (spam B, win).

Does Brawl not have DI or something?  Cause that's what it looks like, and DI was honestly what made competitive SSBM work.

Directional Influence. Where when you get hit, you can control the direction you bounce away from it. I think, anyway.

I'm pretty sure it was mentioned on the Brawl site that DI is in the game.

Ken Levine on how he got people to care about BioShock's story. In a few short words...

"Nobody cares about your Dark Elves."

I enjoyed the part where he talked about putting together the story of Rapture as a sort of interactive detective story. Perhaps his line of thinking will catch on and we'll see the mystery/adventure genre catch on more with the beefier hardware we have now.

Maybe YOU didn't. I will grant it's a bit different than games that vomit the plot directly down your throat like a bird.

MC!!! Is this true? That Square actually finished White Engine and even makes it compatible with Wii?
I thought wasn't White Engine's project got drop and FF13 would probably be the only game that use it?

Dunno; haven't heard much out of the Squenix camp recently.  Well, except Level 5 and their hordes of DS games.
