(video) That's...quite the mangling.

Better than the original to boot!  This one has some humor value at least.

Russia turns on its propaganda machine, using a lot of Cold War clichees.

Like this is any better than the mind blowing hypocrisy of the American (and Australian) coverage of the invasion.  The news surrounding this whole thing is making me sick.

The news surrounding this whole thing is making me sick.

The News Hour, PBS's marquee news program, just had a great segment detailing the history and current situation of Abkhazia, one of the disputed provinces.  It wouldn't make you sick.
Rocky: you do know what an A-bomb is, right?
Bullwinkle: A-bomb is what some people call our show!
Rocky: I don't think that's very funny...
Bullwinkle: Neither do they, apparently!

Yeah, because it totally won't get leaked onto the Internet if Fox manages to block release.

I would love to see it get blocked and released as "Totally Not Watchmen" featuring great characters like "Fuck You Fox" and "Firefly Was Awesome You Morons".

Edit - This has nothing to do with the fact that it is Watchmen, I have no hope for the movie.

Edit 2 - http://www.ubersoft.net/

Specifically today's comic and specifically for Hal.

Some kind of comic of how a girl who just finished High School gets arrested for sharing music on the Internet, gets sent to jail, fined $25,000, and loses her college scholarship. To say it's inaccurate is like calling the main character from Persona 3 a little bit emo.

www.RedAlert3.com

Quote
Electronic Arts announces a two-pronged promotion to highlight the history of the Red Alert series and pave the way for this holiday season's release of the third installment of the C&C RTS spin-off. Things begin on Sunday, when to celebrate the 13th anniversary of the launch of the Command & Conquer series they will offer the original Red Alert as a free download from www.RedAlert3.com. Further, those who preorder Red Alert 3 will receive Red Alert 2 for free, making the entire RA series available for the cost of one game. Preorder customers will also receive a Red Alert retrospective, a Premiere Edition sneak peek, desktop wallpapers, and, when Red Alert 3 ships, an exclusive (huh?) multiplayer Red Alert 3 map.

Tomorrow. Starting tomorrow you can download RA1 for free.

NMA-Fallout.com has five new FO3 gameplay videos up. I have to say, I was skeptical but they're really selling me. One of the high points is the self-built weapons. There's a hand-made claymore made out of explosives and a lunchbox full of caps, and the Railway Rifle, which is one of the steampunk-est things I've ever seen, shooting railroad spikes and making an honest to god train whistle noise when it fires.

Haha, one of the guys at the GameCrazy over here is practially a Ken fanboy. When I was over there on Thursday, he would not shut up about Ken being on Survivor. It'll certainly be interesting to hear about how he does on the show. Not so much that it'll get me to watch Survivor to see for myself, though.

Web comic but I am to lazy to find the right thread and I have already linked it there.

Anyway.  Zombie comic (more in the lines of Evil Dead or Undead than Romero zombie), act 1 just finished and it is pretty awesome.

I always wondered if the Superdickery covers actually matched up to the stories in question. You have no idea how happy I am to see that the answer is "yes."

Edit: Also, I used to live near no less than five towns, townships and prominent buildings named for Anthony Wayne, so seeing him turned into the Goddamn Batman is its own special kind of awesome.

Um... not that familiar with PSP wireless modes, but if I'm understanding this correctly, you can use a PS3 to connect local wireless mode to other people with a PS3 and PSP.  That'd be pretty badass if it works, albeit with a high price tag hardware-wise.

THIS IS AWESOME.

Ahahaha, it has been quite some time since I have last seen the exploits of SUPERDICKERY. And damn, it's actually as true as it shows. That's... beautiful. Seriously.

This is very very NSFW, but I like to spread the plague that is the Exile and its base disgusting coverage of Russia.

So social networking is getting more popular in Russia at the moment and BAM what is full of emo teens in the West turns into free porn in Russia.

So these archaeologists are swimming around and poking at some ruins, when they follow a cave in and surface in a giant air-filled complex of ancient temples and shrines built around the site of the mythical Mayan gateway to Hell.

No, really.  They actually do.

http://www.reuters.com/article/scienceNews/idUSN1442474520080815

Remember, kids, the Mayan calender ends in 2012!

Oh, and Ken being on Survivor is awesome and you folks should watch it.  It is a horrible reality show and a horrible outdoors show, but a very good Mafiaesque social game.  The producers actually have a shockingly decent grasp of game design (as shown in part by their selecting people like Ken) and have gotten very good at concentrating on the competitive aspect rather than "Oh god we are in the wilderness and nobody knows how to make fire."

Yeah. The only season the latter was good for was the first one, where there was no past structure of the show to build on and people invented the playstyles that are used today and things were actually made kinda difficult for the people staying there.
