I fully expect it to be announced as episodic content ala Halflife 2.  They released WC3:TFT with only one of the three levels of the Orc campaign (was more Gauntlet...ish than real campaigns) and that worked fairly successfully for them.  Lets them approach the whole thing with the ups and downs that comes with episodic content which if handled well (like with backing as ridiculously good as they do they will be able to) so that it would come out mostly entirely positively.

I guess the Orc comparison is kind of nice, since it was easily the best thing in that whole game. Still not going to pick it up, since SupCom has ruined all other RTSes for me, and I hate Koreans.

You had to wait for Sup Com for that?  Dude.  TA has and always will be the best there is and ever was.

Hey, WorldEdit was a hell of a lot better too.

I hold WorldEdit responsible for many of the abortions they dared to call scenario maps, so... no.

Normally I assume that everyone who's interested in Magic reads the mtg articles, but...oh my god this article is epic (and only barely related to magic, actually):

I am interested in Magic a lot but find it to much trouble to keep up to date, so really exceptional articles like that I really appreciate being linked to.  Mark Rosewater is usually a very interesting read anyway, but yeah.  Thanks for that.

Edit - also D-Gun trumps World Edit.

Don't think of it as a novel. Think of it as a chance to retroactively win every argument you have ever walked away from.

We followed the Ronpaul’s trail for fifteen days, from Joplin to Springfield to Peoria, until we were down to our last drum of corn-whisky, and Abigail’s turbines were smoking hot. We passed the days with tales of the Beltway Lords, and their incessant warring. Barrister was our navigator, and kept the ship’s logs, and he knew every Fed-yarn there ever was. He sang of Lord Gore: how he gained the power to speak the language of beasts by killing the god of werewolves, and how he called the last seven living griffins to him, and harnessed them to a chariot, and flew to the moon. I have been assured that he lives their still, in a city of silver and marble, and that all that dwell there are immortal, but cursed never to know laughter or joy, and there is no music allowed but Air Supply. He sang of Romney Three-faced, the Great Salt Pope, who wields the spiked and golden miter of Moroni and has twelve thousand brides, all fashioned, through surgery and sorcery, to look like Jessica Alba. He sang of fey Kucinich, who loved the queen of Faerie so much that he ceded her the great redwoods of California in which to make her court, and went to dwell there with her, and put up a girdle around the forest so that no man who enters can ever leave. He sang of Dame Hillary, and how she summoned up Old Man Coyote, and tricked him into wearing a manacle on his paw, and refused to release him until he taught her the secret of Skinchanging. The trickster-god denied her until she killed all his seven and seventy mistresses, and cut off his tail, and starved him for forty seven years.

As sick as I am of the cult of personality surrounding Obama (god damn it he's just another politician only he's saying lies we want to hear and is the better of the two choices this election)?  That was hilarous.

According to preliminary trials, the best Internet content filters would incorrectly block about 10,0000 Web pages from one million.

I hope that is a type, because 1/10 chance of blocking a webpage for no reason would be truely epic fail.

(video) Obama comedy act.  Awesome.

EDIT, and McCain response:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irXS4Q7mUKQ
(video)

McCain actually went first. It was a fun thing to watch, they were both a fair bit more entertaining than I expected. I'd say that McCain was funnier overall, but I liked that a few of Obama's jokes were punchier and sort of deliberately designed to discomfit that particular crowd.
