I saw that thing! They had a booth at the New York Anime Fest. Kinda creepy, but pretty neat.

THAT is pathetic.

I think you mean impressive.  The technology behind it is, anyway.  Sure, the breast thing was a little sad but it's not like they're building a sex bot.

Wait, Japanese.  Yeah, they're building a sex bot.  Sad.

Rocky: you do know what an A-bomb is, right?
Bullwinkle: A-bomb is what some people call our show!
Rocky: I don't think that's very funny...
Bullwinkle: Neither do they, apparently!

Speaking of weird Japanese things!

Strangely addictive flash game. (Warning: it's from Japan.)

The comments on the web page summarize my feelings pretty well, but this little newsclip really brightened my otherwise bland day.

nigoro has a lot of addictive flash games. Like Rose and Camellia.
19:35:58 (trancehime) there's a specific spot in the game that's for item duping
19:36:14 (Sanae) o.o
19:39:11 (Sanae) I'd love to dupe a second trancehime.

That second video is what got me into the MMBN series (and Mega Man as a whole, really)

The Lonely Island is basically the only thing SNL has going for it nowadays.
Don't think of it as a novel. Think of it as a chance to retroactively win every argument you have ever walked away from.

This is a better piece of work from them. It's also before they were famous, and since this has been my ringtone for a year now, proves that I am cooler than you. Cause that's how this works.

Neat music-based webgame.

http://www.rorrimkcalb.com/arcadefire.html
(video) lets you toggle on/off each track of the music; interesting.

For anyone who likes Nightmare Before Christmas, a bunch of artists did some covers of the songs from that movie. For instance:

(video) Marilyn Manson covering “This Is Halloween”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5jzRyWaFew
(audio) Korn “Kidnap the Sandy Claws”

(video) Trailer for live action Dragon Ball.  No, really.

My rebuttal comes in the form of a citation:

Quote
Frogs are innocent beings. Innocent meaning: Expecting no evil. As soon as the frog has figured out that you are not going to eat him, he coorperates naturally with you, gives your fingers a gentle squeeze to get to a more comfortable position, climbs a bit higher up to sit more comfortably, sits patiently while you study him or talks about him. Just like an innocent child, the frog coorporates without doing any harm. Q.E.D.

Can't most of them also urinate through their skin as a defense mechanism? I'd hardly call that 'giving your fingers a gentle squeeze'.

Don't get me wrong, I like frogs as much as the next 9-year-old kid, but if that website isn't being intentionally effusive for the sake of humor... that's just kind of creepy.

I know most of us probably already don't use Internet Explorer anyway, but there's apparently a nasty hole in it that can let people steal your passwords out of your browser.  Might want to use Firefox or something else for a while even if you do like IE.

I don't have to worry about Internet Explorer on my PowerBook because it's no longer available for Macs.

I haven't been able to confirm this from any website other than Pokemon-related ones, so consider it a rumor for now.

Adam "Maddie" Blaustein, the voice actor/actress, died last week of an unidentified illness at the age of 48.

Best known as the voice of Meowth from Pokemon, but we also know her as Margarete from Shadow Hearts and Arngrim, Lezard, and Lawfer from Valkyrie Profile.

RIP
