In.

For the record, mid-June is bad for me, but it looks like that doesn't really matter.

Looks like July 10-13 is the way to go. Enough slacking on my part - time to get this rolling.

Huh.  Missed this topic until today.  Assuming I don't have unforeseen issues with my job or something I should be able to make that date.

Based on the way things are looking at this moment, which is still subject to change, I'll probably be driving down.  When exactly dunno but figure it's kind of important to note that given drivers.

I won't be attending, but I can send someone photographs of my dick to their cellphone during the con if anyone wants.

Sorry to hear that, but given the event in question, I'd say it's for the best. Congrats!

So...the other 1% is still coming?  send us a couple fingers in a box? (pack 'em in plenty of ice.)

The chances of Andrew and I coming have gone from 10% to 50%. We're going to try to get Comic-Con passes this Saturday. If we get them, chances go down to near 0 (they're both in July and taking work off twice isn't going to happen). If we don't, we're up to about 75%.

Math.

But we're a maybe, at least.

EDIT: No ComicCon tickets, so we're back up to 75%. There's a resale period in late May that might yet do it, but even if that happens it'll probably only be for a day or two and we'll have had to buy our DLCon tickets. Now just to see where/if Andy lands a job...

I can probably make it, at least for part of the con.  However no need to worry about hotels or the like - I have a friend in the area, so I'll just crash at his place.  (Used to be Arlington, which would be more convenient, but now it's Greenbelt MD).  Anyway, assuming that people either A) Head to DC for tourism / food / etc. or B) are willing to pick me up from a Metro stop in the morning & drop me off in the evening, it should be good.

On that note....

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/dr-gridlock/wp/2014/03/19/still-no-firm-word-on-silver-line-completion/

WTF, WMTA.  Let the Silver Line jokes continue.  I guess it seems unlikely that I'll be taking the shiny new approach that doesn't work, but there's still the Vienna/Fairfax station, which isn't too too far off, I hope.

Oh, I'm probably going to hit up the city a few days early because I've never been and it seems like it would be a sight-seeing bonanza. So, I guess if anyone has suggestions for hotels/best places to see before the con/etc...they would be most welcome.

Cid may commence his "I was right" dance, yes. Friggin' WMATA.

If the Silver Line is not yet in service by July, then the closest station will be either Vienna or the same one we've used for minimeets in the past, the West Falls Church stop. Either one is about 20-25 minutes away from me by car.

Still don't know if I'm going.  The next few months are up in the air for me.  If I do, come, however, I'll be dragging my brother - the taciturn Aziraphale - with me.
