Love awful Suikoden 5 bosses? Can't wait at seeing BoF scrubs go at it? Looking for the place where Renault can flex his muscle? This tournament is for you then!

Rule: Nom up to four characters for the tournament. All DL rules apply. Nomming rules:

1. The character has to well and truly suck. No powerhouses like say Aguro allowed. Puny in the RPGP was 1.5 and below on the power scale. Think really awful PCs.
2. It has to be a form that can win fights. No plot fights allowed!
3. You can specify forms if a character has more than one form. IE: Nominating Edward (4o) is acceptable.
4. No random fights.
5. Jogurt gets an automatic nomination. No need to nom the ex overlord.
Anyway, let's go! My nominations.

1. Mogu (BoF1). Classic puny, awful stats all around.
2. Euram Barows (S5). As bad as bosses get.
3. Randolph (Lufia 3). That HP/speed.
4. Chelsea Torn (ToD). 5HKO if she's given extra levels. *flush*

Since there's a Lufia 3 character in the mix, I assume that "DL rules apply" means that unranked is fine, in moderation.

Also I realize you said "no random fights" but we DO have a stat topic for DW1 Slime. Just sayin'.

Today's theme: Awesome bosses. (Depressingly enough, Boss Kresnik is probably a tad too good for Puny since there are interps that make him merely Light.)

1. Catiua (boss) (TO). The best. (I even give her a turn's worth of MP, and she's still the best.)
2. Amalthea 1 (Trails). No not her High Light boss form, the earlier one who dies to a sneeze and whose magic does 0 damage.
3. Seifer 1 (boss) (FF8). No stat topic entry for this specific form (the pre-Edea one), but I'm sure it can be whipped up fast if need be. Fear the like 20HKO.
4. Garland (FF1). WILL KNOCK YOU ALL DOWN

2. Shiho(VP1). The scrubbiest of VP mages.
3. Rody(S3). So far, these are still probably ranked in descending order of manliness....

Uh, Zealot might be -slightly- strong for Puny, but not enough to be problematic? He's very much a Low Light (4HKOs, doubled by below average PCs, kinda undurable magically), but then so is Paula. I don't think he's unreasonable here.

Samson is a rancid failure of a character in game and a DL light, but he's no puny. For one, he has above average speed and is almost average on HP. His damage is below average but not by a ton. He towers like a toddler over ants compared to the rest of this field, pretty much.

How are we interpreting Jake here? Without a Ballista? It seems like he's a good unit with even levels even without his ballista though... Possibly too powerful. Or maybe I'm confusing him with the othe ballistician?

I think Jake is probably okay, that Nergal level speed means he's eating doubles constantly. Puny Mages can deal with them if they don't also have puny durability... which I suppose is also a thing.

Hetzel is a tad weird. I would see him as able to get wins vs. PCs because hey if you can't break his regen, you don't win, but I know a lot of other people disagree and don't tiebreak for bosses in such cases, and then Jogurt defeats Hetzel on basis of a damage-done tiebreak. (Okay, I guess there are certain PCs with insanely horrid PDef AND only short-range attacks whom he might do damage to... but that is uber-rare.) So basically I think he's fine, but for others he can't win. EDIT: From chatting with others... equal-XP Vika might take 1 damage or something. DL equal-XP Vika has 18.5 Def endgame, but Vika needs those levels from E-2 & E-3, so she theoretically might still have 16 Def in E-1, and thus take 1 damage from Hetzel's 17 Str + 0 power staff counter. Everyone else either can't initiate (Herons, unshifted laguz) or tink or both tink & can attack from range 2 anyway. You need defense so bad you take 150% normal damage or worse, I think.)

Puny tends to be physical (as does light). There are some stunning exceptions to this of course (Alenia, Paula)

I figure that Jake is a worse dueler than, say, Renault. Even if the enemy doesn't double Jake, 4HKO damage, first strike, and bad/good/bad HP/Def/Res versus 6HKO damage, counters, and OK/OK/OK defensive stats is not an open and shut case. If they do double Jake, and he's so slow that even FE11 NM enemies usually do, he gets mauled.

Re: Hetzel - pretty sure FE10 staves have 1 Might, not 0. (Woo. So impressive.)
