I'd probably want to play SD3 again to get a better handle on some of this, but...
-Yeah, what Snow said about Angela's spells being at worst above average for turn 2, not slow turn 2.
-Taken literally from in-game, once Angela starts charging a spell, if a spell wins the battle she can not lose before then (due to all status effects, including damage-inflicted death, not taking effect until afte the spell resolves)... at least usually. That's how it works for randoms; Meeple wasn't sure for bosses when I asked him. Which yes means Angela may have some weird sort of initiative, or at least is effectively very fast turn 1 (but then very vulnerable to defensive buffs while she charges). It is a headache.
