Lucian (Valkyrie Profile)* (3-2) vs Ramza Beoulve (Final Fantasy Tactics)* (5-0)
Blade Grasp.
Arceus (Pokémon) (4-1) vs Yuffie Kisaragi (Final Fantasy VII)* (4-1)
Arceus has 1.28 PCHP, I think someone claimed Yuffie's ITD burst was better than that?
Note that if I was a Gen5 Gen6 voter, Arceus can equip Fairy Plate and null King-of-the-dragons Bahamut, but I'm not, so. (Also per earlier, Arceus totally robbed Claude in retrospect, and Claude would win this.)
Citan Uzuki (Xenogears)* (4-1) vs Squall Leonhart (Final Fantasy VIII)* (4-1)
I definitely don't respect a perfect evade strat here, deathblows have perfect accuracy barring Id's special dodge, and pretty sure 255 FF8 accuracy hits through anything, so it's not like super-FF8 evasion is invincible.
Anyway, Cerberus is a possibility depending on the turnsplit here... Auto-Haste & Spd +40%/20% & best Speed junction means Squall can bust up Citan with S-Atk Death which he can't block if Squall survives Citan's initial flurry.
Alternatively, there's Pandemona for Initiative, Str Junction, & Str +20%/40%. This gets into scaling debates again but all of those should have a pretty huge boost to auto-critting Squall vs. whatever "normal" is, but Citan is reasonably tanky.
Gonna lean Squall for now, could be convinced by math that the Cerberus strat doesn't work, and Pandemona is a "just how much do you respect 255 Str" deal.
EDIT: Although didn't someone say Cerberus doesn't have HP junction? If he doesn't, then the Cerberus strat is dicier, as Citan should just 2HKO Squall, which makes the turnsplit even more important. Will wait for Tied & the like.
EDIT NUMBER 2: Oh right, or Squall can just cast Death, forgot that was legal.
