What were your strats for the battles before Dark 'mutt?

In your case, you can just Advantaliate the boss rush to hell. It's great for bypassing the Fiends' counters. Just don't forget to bring Jump and the assorted necessary elements. I mostly fed them to Rune Axe Golbez. Reta-meta also works on White Dragon, but you -do- need to bring poison and NE magic for it anyway so you don't miss the target medals.

Anyhow.

Final Fantasy Autobattle Nabbed As A Sniper - Mastered Dark Bahamut after some tinkering around. Crucially, you must -guarantee- all your PCs can survive the opening Megaflare 100% of the time. HP above 3.3 and Res above 205 does the trick. Past that, it's also important to bring Dispel so he doesn't smack you with Reflected Flares. I beat him before the second non-initiative Megaflare - and, as long as you have the offense to keep him from pulling a third, you should master the fight with room to spare.

Lost Dimension: Attempt at final boss #2. I still need more numbers. <_> Maybe next time I'll actually let him kill me instead of just turning the game off once I have 3-4 people dead and realize I can't win to see if there's any kind of special ending from losing to The End.

FF Chibirhythm Curtain Call - Playing this again. I blame jim. After getting back into the swing of it, I am experiencing the pain of 1great. Almost, ALMOST manage to All Critical a song but somewhere in the middle I hit a single Great and do not get the All Crit. This is on Expert, not on Ultimate, before anyone tries to strangle me. Ultimate songs pop up in the Quest Medleys and I have trouble even getting SS, All Crit just ain't happening. I have resisted the urge to spend additional dollars on DLC largely by virtue of playing the game in a different room than I leave my wallet and letting laziness take care of the rest. Good strategies.

Um, Selphie isn't on the list of chars who got buffed.

I was referring to the Augment system.  Her 6-star rod got a free +2 to Mind.

Oh btw shields gain defense from Augment, not evasion.  So it's not always your highest stat thankfully.

All of the natural 5* equips get a minimum +1 to stat augmenting by proxy. +6 get a starting +2. I gladly fed a useless Gold Shield to Vivi's Oak Staff, so now we're cruisin'.

I'm just sorta shocked how fast they added the buff to Mog. Look, now he's a viable healer. Oh, and Celes is finally a viable battle mage hybrid.

It's crazy to think cloud will be able to get to 80 before some characters break past 50.

Cloud being broken is an easy way for monies. I mean, Seph was the second PC to get his MC2. At least, by the time Battle in the Big Bridge rolls in, nearly almost every relevant character will have MCs. Though this might not happen for the FF2 crowd and Edward since most of their memory crystals are in collab events, which have a -terrible- history of showing up on Global.

EDIT: No new event until the 17th? I'll die of boredom unless they stick a dungeon update in-between.

RK: that Dark Bahamut fight.

I got as much poizn and non elemental as I could on my mages (Valefor 2, Bioga 1, Comet 5, Comet 3, Biora 5, Flare 1, Faith 3) and barely beat white dragon. Dark Bahamut just wasn't going to happen with this setup. I went with advantaliate instead and it was still pretty fucking intense.

Luneth RW, Garnet had double hit.
Cloud had 4* FF4 daggers plus Dark Helm, and did about 6500 damage per hit after all the buffs. advantaliate is king.
All in all pretty fun, especially when Dbahm hit itself with Flare after its Reflect got dispelled.


Also Cagnazzo was a huge jerk. Best fiend. In the original game he just died in two Tellah spells?

A nice thing is that we got the rebalanced medal scoring thresholds today! So, people who waited to master White Dragon and Dark Bahamut (i.e. not me) will very likely have a considerably easier time now.

And then you're in the last round but he retreats inside his shell, you start attacking but do almost no damage, he heals, you don't want to waste charges so you just set the speed to 5 and do nothing, he heals three more times and goes out of his shell, all your buffs are gone now and you can't damage him fast enough, then he goes back in his shell, you go all out and even use like Flare , but still can't kill him the next round, he heals, etc etc.
Yeah. Fuck Cagnazzo.

The fully honed Blizzagas and Thundagas I had paid off big, big time there, at least. He can be Stopped, though! Which I still don't have at a high enough level to spam (only R3).

EDIT: Meanwhile, against Dark Bahamut, Golbez was dealing 9999 with Faith'd -Bioras-. God damn that Rune Axe is evil.

Played more SRW OG1, am now at that magical part where you have to actually consider deployment setups.  21/23 skill points.  Might end up missing the Graviton Cannon, but I'll try my best to get it. :|

Something I recalled which wasn't previously addressed in the thread - Dhyer: Grandia rights, along with all of Game Arts' other franchises (and the studio itself), are now owned by GungHo Entertainment.  (They're most known for Puzzle and Dragons).

Final Fantasy If Autobattling Was Art - Sundaily arrives, currently levelling up Nice Cecil, Mean Cecil and Fran. Also brought a cap-broken Loserface so I can prepare him for his second MC down the line. Highlight so far was getting his second Record Materia within the second round of the first levelling dungeon.

So I've been playing another Squenix timebux game for a couple of weeks.  Heavenstrike Rivals is a small-map tactics game with a surprisingly interesting story campaign.

Anyway they have a promotion right now where you can get Ramza as a unit.  I seem to remember one or two people in the DL liking FFT, I think Super was one of them.  So yeah if you like Ramza check it out.  My invite code is CPTFA1B045B if you want some extra stuff.

I typed "Square Enix" into the iOS app store search box and holy crap, Squeenix is flooding the place with mobile games. ...and most of them look pretty good! Apart from the rereleases of FFs 1-7+T,Theatrhythm, SoM, CT, TWEWY, and DQ series (all nice in their own right!), there's also FFD, FFRK, Crystal Defenders, Song Summoner, the Chaos Rings series, Symphonica, Hills and Rivers Remain, Triple Triad, and some F2P ones that look decent, Drakenrider and this Heavenstrike Rivals thing.

There's also All The Bravest, but you can't win 'em all. Guardian Cross is also some kind of F2P Gacha based game with nothing but pandering half-naked ladies all over the advertising...

Here's hoping that all this mobile stuff is making them money hand over fist and they will translate FFD2. I really want that game in English, watching Shun play it in Japanese is not enough.

But yeah, gonna give this Heavenstrike Rivals thing a try.

FF So You Think You Can Autobattle - Hey, I can grind in the highest level zone in the dailies now. Neat.

Level broke Lenna, Grind Grind Grind. Got Shitwizard up to level 49 and will probably start advancing the story again so I can get his level crystal and access his record materia. Kefka/WoL/Edgar are all high 50s now and Terra got to 60, so she should be level cap breaking again soon. While grinding I got WoL's second record materia, put it on him and then a couple enemies started absorbing his attacks. Good job.

Did an 11 pull, got a new 5* armor and some 4* goodies but nothing noteworthy. The FF5 banner has a Staff and a Sword, both of which I want, but I'll probably end up drawing the rod and then rubbing it in Djinn's face.

Final Fantasy iautobattleautobattleiwhoautobattlei - It really feels like a drought of interesting banners is coming until next month outside of FF14's, and that one is mostly Y'shtola's equips. Zack's banner is balanced, but it offers nothing really -cool-. Auron's banner is simply awful (A KATANA AND A SPEAR AS ITS PREMIER WEAPONS. I'm trembling in anticipation). Vaan's banner is all over the place and I personally am -not- hurting for FF12 synergy equips. Terra's banner... eeeeeeh. She really doesn't rely on her character-specific equips to be solid and, outside those and the ever elusive Mystery Veil, the banner's just riddled with objectively junky equips for rhe metagame (Edgar and Sabin aren't great units and their relic SBs are hardly game-changing. Cyan is one of the worst PCs in the game). I guess it's an incentive to save up for the Hope and Zidane events with their copious mage gear and new MT healing SBs with buffs.

Diablo 3: Hellfire Amulet acquired! Rolled with the Relentless barbarian passive, which is good enough to keep -- it's a solid defensive skill that I use for tougher fights anyway. Sadly it didn't come with either critical bonus, so it's probably getting replaced when I can, but for the moment I've got it re-rolled to add critical chance, and it works.  Also I found a Sash of Knives and extracted its power as a passive, so now every time I attack I also throw a dagger and a honkin' big battleaxe.

Final Fantasy Someone To Autobattle You Home - Still grinding XP for Fran and the Cecils. The important part is that someone mastered the Dark Bahamut fight with a setup involving three Dragoons and Loserface with Jump and cleverly cheesing his Reflect state AI. This is amazing.

Duck Game: Fenrir gifted this to me on Steam. Messed with tutorial stuff, wasn't sure what to think. Then tried online vs. match and okay how is this not a DL thing yet. This is one of those games where you laugh constantly even when you die. Which you will do a lot, I've seen rounds that lasted probably literally one second.

I should never pick up grenades.

Final Fantasy: Record of XANA - Okay, so.  Tried to do a lot of things today.

Got beaten up by Leviathan in MiB, then got Reflect, honed Retaliate to R3, and then steamrolled that stage.

Then I get my crap pushed in by Demon Wall because my damage is too low.

Tried the Difficulty 110 in the Soul Break Bonanza event.  Got the boss down to 1/3 health before it killed me.

Then I go up against Elite Shinra Cargo Ship.  Had to S/L nearly a dozen times due to random deaths or enemies up to Jenova using Flamethrower, not to mention the sheer difficulty of Jenova herself.  Got Cloud's RM2 and Mastery for the stage for my troubles.
