I'm still alive, just limited in when I can do stuff for a number of reasons!
Anyway...
Bravely Default: Got to the Water Crystal arc, no new jobs have popped up and the previous dungeon was just a lot of Ringabell burns/ices things, Tiz and Edea smash, Agnes heals sometimes (didn't have enough rods to make Aero or Quake worth anything), occassionally throwing Rejuvenate for MP.
Tales of Xillia: So we now had a team of 3 a jRPG protagonist, a jRPG Flirting Mercenary, and a bad-ass UOM Ninja Butler. I have to say, it's nice that the average character is actually rationally thought out and intelligent in this game. For example, Rowen rationally telling soldiers to stand down because "you have what you came here for, there's no reason for the two sides to fight" was something you almost never see. How many jRPGs would have turned that into a "Fight soldiers because they're bad guy soldiers moments?" or done the "we can't fight here, retreat!" Nice to show the whole soldiers doing their job also means they won't be complete dicks about it, thus won't hurt others if there's no actual aggressive resistance, and nice that Rowen was smart enough to try the reason with enemies angle instead of just attacking straight up.
