Godlike:

Ghaleon (Lunars) vs Hugo Hewitt (WA4)- Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt nope!
TimeLord (SaGa) vs Orgulla (XS2)- Jesus christ.
Red Fiend (Lunar:EBC) vs Yuna (FFX)- This is somehow less close than TL vs a XS2 boss. That's impressive.
Zophar (Lunar:EBC) vs Reicher (MK2)

High Heavy:

Chris Lightfellow (S3) vs Lyon (S5)- SL.
Celes Chere (FF6) vs Layna (SN)- Tank a hit, vanish.
Lulu (FFX) vs Ryu (BoF2)- Check please.
Killer (SH3) vs Rameriz (SoA)- Too durable for Killer.

Low Heavy

Rune Walsh (PS4) vs Grunzford (SN)- Negatis.
Aldelbert Steiner (FF9) vs Marle (CT)- Purely kneejerk, feel free to argue me out of this. E: I'll bite.
Yosuke Hanamura (Pers4) vs Alfina de Pamela (G3)- Better.
Kresnik Ahtreide (WA4) vs Rei (BoF3)-Strong kneejerk.

Middle:

Tear Grants (TotA) vs Roger Huxley (SO3)- Odds of me voting for Roger in anything like a contested fight are nil.
Argilla (DDS) vs Ulrika Mulberry (MK2)- Silence immune, can tank everything else.
Gaff Gafgarion (FFT) vs Ramza Beoulve (FFT)- As hilariously wrong as this is, my strong kneejerk is this.

Shame:

Millie (S2) vs Doll (SaGa)- Doll terrorizing scrubs here.
Alfred Schroedinger (WA3) vs Spiritmaster (BD)
Alenia (S5) vs Jogurt (SF1)
Rahal (S5) vs Onix (PKMN)- *facepalm*

Godlike:

Ghaleon (Lunars) vs Hugo Hewitt (WA4): Assuming a couple Rock'n'Rolls are enough... if they're not Ghaleon could actually lose this which is kind of embarrassing? But probably not. Rock'n'Roll+Chaos Shield ensures the second half of the double isn't wasted. EDIT: I forgot Inferno/Nitro Dagger were MT too, okay never mind this isn't even close.
TimeLord (SaGa) vs Orgulla (XS2): Durability. Ways to get around Glass Shield.
Red Fiend (Lunar:EBC) vs Yuna (FFX): Tapes down the X button on her PS2 controller, goes fishing.
Zophar (Lunar:EBC) vs Reicher (MK2): Either Zophar has multiple parts which really fuck with Reicher's Remote Blade focus game (and does loads of damage really fast), or he gets Fate Storm.

High Heavy:

Chris Lightfellow (S3) vs Lyon (S5): Her SL comes out faster than Lyon's stuff. Although even if this weren't the case, provided Setting Sun isn't turn 1, Chris could just SL in response to that, or heal in response to Vermillion Sky?
Celes Chere (FF6) vs Layna (SN): Status or Vanish.
Lulu (FFX) vs Ryu (BoF2): Oh dear.

Low Heavy

Rune Walsh (PS4) vs Grunzford (SN): Yay!
Aldelbert Steiner (FF9) vs Marle (CT): Stop or Confuse.
Kresnik Ahtreide (WA4) vs Rei (BoF3): Unless Rei could OHKO in Weretiger? Trying to land BoF3 Death against Kresnik MDef is noooope. EDIT: Riiiight, Kresnik's healing isn't that good, so Weretiger beatdown overpowers it easily after Speed.

Middle:

Tear Grants (TotA) vs Roger Huxley (SO3)
Argilla (DDS) vs Ulrika Mulberry (MK2): Argilla may block silence, but Cannon Ball is still very bad news (turn 2 for at least one of Slow/Curse, turn 3 for both). Her only hope is to cause turn 3Panic with Tentarafoo I think (raw damage gets responded to with Healing Reverb)? At least her having healing wards of ItD... until slow or curse lands. So... Cannon Ball, Tent, Cannon Ball. At this point either slow or curse has landed. If it's slow, then Ulrika can ItD with her next turn and win before. If curse... actually she can't stop two more Tentarafoos, so she's best off putting up a healing timed card and/or Elemental Barrier with her third turn, so that she can survive being Panicked? Since Argilla won't be healing during this time, I think Ulrika wins if my memory of Panic's duration is correct (~3 turns). Pretty close, but feels like Ulrika has the edge.
Gaff Gafgarion (FFT) vs Ramza Beoulve (FFT): Feels weird, but not that weird. You have to be clever and monkey with your setup to win the Ramza vs. Gafgarion duel without help from your allies in-game.
Lilina (FE6) vs Tony (WA4): EDIT: Re-thinking things... there are no lightning attacks in WA4, really (at least on the PC side) but Short Circuit very much has a lightning feel to it, and it's a big weakness which I feel should probably be reflected in some way (bosses giving good damage to Jude of the 1.4x average speed is bad news for them). Toss in intuitive arguments for lightning beating mechs and I'm willing to see Lilina hitting weakness here. Subjectivity ahoy, obviously it's reasonable to disagree.

Shame:

Millie (S2) vs Doll (SaGa): There's a possibility these are the two best in this half of the draw? If so that is terrifying.
Alfred Schroedinger (WA3) vs Spiritmaster (BD): I think.
Alenia (S5) vs Jogurt (SF1): Yup.
Rahal (S5) vs Onix (PKMN): Onix has a 2HKO to average with Bind-spam against those who are both slower than him and unimpressively evasive. It doesn't come up that often, but Rahal is special. EDIT: Okay, 3HKO, but a high one. Probably just enough to 2HKO Rahal before he potentially OHKOs back. Yikes, how does this match make it look like both these two have offence.

Godlike:
Ghaleon (Lunars) vs Hugo Hewitt (WA4)
TimeLord (SaGa) vs Orgulla (XS2)
Red Fiend (Lunar:EBC) vs Yuna (FFX)
Zophar (Lunar:EBC) vs Reicher (MK2)

High Heavy:
Chris Lightfellow (S3) vs Lyon (S5)
Celes Chere (FF6) vs Layna (SN)
Lulu (FFX) vs Ryu (BoF2)
Killer (SH3) vs Rameriz (SoA)- Rameriz definitely doesn't 2HKO here to me, so Killer gets in the needed damage

Low Heavy

Rune Walsh (PS4) vs Grunzford (SN)
Aldelbert Steiner (FF9) vs Marle (CT)- Steiner blocks Stop to me. Does Confuse really help a lot? She can't do any damage that doesn't cancel the Confuse, and he might still hit her (and since damage cancels the Confuse, she can't really even attack on a double very effectively)?
Yosuke Hanamura (Pers4) vs Alfina de Pamela (G3)- Yosuke's slight healing still is effective as taking down Alfina since she's based on chipping+one big attack. This is definitely one where it feels like Alfina should win if she was a clear Heavy.
Kresnik Ahtreide (WA4) vs Rei (BoF3)- Hmm, if it wasn't for Pile Bunker, this would be pretty clear. That said, the lowest the most Mdef can make Death is about 17%, which is turn 6. Kresnik does need 6 attacks to kill Rei. However, while I normally have a cap on TB speed...BoF 3 has great argument for ignoring that (hey, literally the only TB speed game where you can actually double. In no other TB game, would a buff like Speed on Rei have any point, so it definitely deserves credit). As such, Rei opens with Speed and Kresnik does the same. But...it means that Rei's speed will still have the advantage and he'll get his 6th turn before Kresnik. And then Rei casts Speed a second time. So yeah, he's forced away from Weretiger, but Rei's speed game is still nasty.

Middle:
Tear Grants (TotA) vs Roger Huxley (SO3)- Well, I guess I was warned of this. But Roger has a solid physical 2HKO. Tear can not 2HKO him, and her healing is kind o anemic (12 shots of 60% healing), and Tales magic isn't incredibly fast (even if it's faster than Roger, she's not 2HKOing him, her healing isn't going to fast enough to double him). But...hey, could be this is a match where OLs matter...so at least I can see Tear votes. Don't think she has much of a shot otherwise.
Argilla (DDS) vs Ulrika Mulberry (MK2)- Well, Ulrika can semi heal lock (I say semi because of the charge time), with a physical and ITD...which means that she'll eventually win because there will be some point where she is going to charge with ItD...and it will go off right after Argilla's turn...and then the 0.7 recharge means she'll get a physical before Argilla can go and heal. Not sure if I explained that right, but the 0.7 recharge off ItD (instead of a 1 recharge) means that at some point, she can use it and get in a physical after it goes off when Argilla won't have a chance to heal.
Gaff Gafgarion (FFT) vs Ramza Beoulve (FFT)

Shame:
Millie (S2) vs Doll (SaGa)
Alfred Schroedinger (WA3) vs Spiritmaster (BD)
Alenia (S5) vs Jogurt (SF1)
Rahal (S5) vs Onix (PKMN)- Bind...okay....
...into the nightfall.

On Confuse vs. Steiner: Steiner physicals while confused don't even remotely scare Marle. They're at 25% damage and 50% accuracy, and they're FF9 basic physicals. Against a haste/healer that's completely laughable. If Stop is blockable, Marle will presumably be carrying her Slow-bow instead, which would give her a ludicrous turnsplit once it's set up, but even before then she'll double constantly so her strategy will be "wait for Steiner to attack, hit him with whatever, reapply confuse". With Slow she'll get four turns in a row instead. Steiner can pretty much only win if confuse whiffs so often that he's able to Iai Strike her enough times for the kill. (Going for damage just results in Marle responding by healing, doubleturning, and trying to use confuse again, and his MP rapidly dwindles.)

Hmm, I think I'll need to look at Rei vs. Kresnik more closely. I think I was confusing his post-buffing mdur with his sister's.

Erwin Schrödinger will kill you like a cat in a box.

Ghaleon (Lunars) vs Hugo Hewitt (WA4) - The turnsplit so doesn't matter.
TimeLord (SaGa) vs Orgulla (XS2) - Oh god.
Red Fiend (Lunar:EBC) vs Yuna (FFX) - Oh god.
Zophar (Lunar:EBC) vs Reicher (MK2) - Had I played EBC, this would be completely different.

Chris Lightfellow (S3) vs Lyon (S5) - Silent Lake mostly solves problems. I'm pretty sure Chris' SL is at least one SD above average and Lyon isn't that fast.
Celes Chere (FF6) vs Layna (SN) - Vanish, Imp, you name it.
Lulu (FFX) vs Ryu (BoF2) - This is pretty ugly.

Rune Walsh (PS4) vs Grunzford (SN) - Negatis!
Adelbert Steiner (FF9) vs Nadia "Marle" Guardia (CT) - I -think- Marle needs Stop here, since Steiner certainly can wall Ice to a degree and Marle's offense is so anemic that Iai Strike has a good chance to connect before she finishes the job otherwise. He's not bothering with damage here. This said, I don't see FF9 PCs blocking any status ever.
Yosuke Hanamura (Pers4) vs Alfina de Pamela (G3) - This is... weird, but actually should work. Alfina has issues against the comprehensive evade and cheap healing.
Kresnik Ahtreide (WA4) vs Rei (BoF3) - I honestly think Kresnik's a bit over his head here. Post-Speed, Rei is at least almost as fast as Adrenaline Power'd Kresnik and he needs to Healing Factor twice in order to mitigate a single Rei blow post-Weretiger. If he had full healing, this might have worked out, but as is?

Tear Grants (TotA) vs Roger S. Huxley (SO3) - I think so. Tear isn't a good Middle even with the redrawn lines.
Argilla (DDS) vs Ulrika Mulberry (MK2) - Actually, opening with Elemental Barrier might be a pretty good move on Ulrika's part: it trivializes Argilla's damage long enough for her to land Curse and allow her to finish things off (Argilla physicals are about seven kinds of lol), and Slow -also- helps her out in this regard. It might be a better idea than trying to time an ItD, though I could be argued. Nevertheless, Ulrika has a good array of tools to handle Middle healers and it shows here.
Gaff Gafgarion (FFT) vs Ramza Beoulve (FFT) - Welp.
Lilina (FE6) vs Tony (WA4) - Lilina would need to OHKO here and Tony's elem resist means she may miss a -2HKO-. He gets at least three shots to put her down and that's certainly enough.

Millie (S2) vs Doll (SaGa) - Wow, Millie.
Alfred Schroedinger (WA3) vs Spiritmaster (BD) - Alfred uh 9-10HKOs. Spiritmaster likely goes somewhere along the lines of 50HKO. Um yeah.
Alenia (S5) vs Jogurt (SF1) - OVERLORD
Rahal (S5) vs Onix (PKMN) - Onix and Rahal making a Puny slapfight look like a typical Heavy skirmish. The things you see in Fantastic Unlimited Uguu.

Ghaleon (Lunars) vs Hugo Hewitt (WA4) - lol
Red Fiend (Lunar:EBC) vs Yuna (FFX) - even bigger lol
Zophar (Lunar:EBC) vs Reicher (MK2) - see Elfboy

High Heavy:

Chris Lightfellow (S3) vs Lyon (S5) - ze lake
Celes Chere (FF6) vs Layna (SN) - ze vanish
Lulu (FFX) vs Ryu (BoF2) - ze dragon

Low Heavy

Rune Walsh (PS4) vs Grunzford (SN) - Negatis.
Aldelbert Steiner (FF9) vs Marle (CT) - Not feeling particularly keen on FF9 statusblocking hype.
Yosuke Hanamura (Pers4) vs Alfina de Pamela (G3) - Sukukaja gives Alfina fits.
Kresnik Ahtreide (WA4) vs Rei (BoF3) - Sure.

Middle:

Gaff Gafgarion (FFT) vs Ramza Beoulve (FFT) - Yep.
Lilina (FE6) vs Tony (WA4) - Lilina does have Thunder to get around Tony's resists but that does 0.55 and I don't see Tony as being much worse than 0.6 if I see him as worse than that at all.  He certainly isn't failing to 2HKO her awful durability.

Shame:

Millie (S2) vs Doll (SaGa) - Draining.
Alfred Schroedinger (WA3) vs Spiritmaster (BD) - At worst Alfred probably has about five times Spiritmaster's damage.
Alenia (S5) vs Jogurt (SF1)
Rahal (S5) vs Onix (PKMN) - sure whatever

Ghaleon (Lunars) vs Hugo Hewitt (WA4) - I thought Cyclone was the full MT one, not Rock 'n Roll?  Whatever.
Red Fiend (Lunar:EBC) vs Yuna (FFX)

High Heavy:

Chris Lightfellow (S3) vs Lyon (S5) - I definitely don't buy "oh lol just heal in response to Vermillion Sky" when both are from similar systems where you have to input your command at the start of the round blind, but it doesn't matter since Chris's SL is faster.  Lyon's physical isn't even bad or anything, just she's still losing the slugfest even with an extra hit.
Lulu (FFX) vs Ryu (BoF2)
Killer (SH3) vs Rameriz (SoA) - Inclined to disrespect Ramirez's HP quite a bit.

Low Heavy

Aldelbert Steiner (FF9) vs Marle (CT) -  SonicArrow Marle has a 23HKO to average.  Steiner halves Water out of the gate, too (although he might need to juggle equips a tad to get Locomotion...  not sure I even care about that, though.)  Also there's a weak argument to allow Auto-Haste solely for the Slow-blocking side of that, although granted, Marle would just go to Valkyrie for a mighty 14HKO.  Provoke is a mere 1 MP though, and Steiner's Provoke'd physicals scare off some healing extremely rarely, and even disallowing Slow Marle is still getting doubles at a good clip, so yeah.

Middle:

Tear Grants (TotA) vs Roger Huxley (SO3) - OL at worst.
Gaff Gafgarion (FFT) vs Ramza Beoulve (FFT)
Lilina (FE6) vs Tony (WA4) - Well Tide mentioned in the PG topic that Kresnik actually doesn't have FP Advance for the Tony fight, which makes me inclined to respect his HP slightly more.  I'd normally see "halves all elements in game" as spoiling FE mages, who are quite similar to Arnaud who is getting spoiled no matter what, but the Short Circuit weakness + Thunder hitting weakness on golems and the like in other Wild Arms games (e.g. XF) makes me inclined to at least make Thunder neutral here.  So yeah, this is pretty much a survival check coin flip, which leads to me still kneejerking against Tony.

Aiel fanservice:

Alfred Schroedinger (WA3) vs Spiritmaster (BD)
Alenia (S5) vs Jogurt (SF1)
Rahal (S5) vs Onix (PKMN)
Bind apparently works really differently in Gen1 than other Gens from checking Bulbapedia.  And Onix doesn't have a stat topic entry in the later gen's due to Steelix.  Anyone want to theorycraft later-gens Onix?  Judging from the Gen4 Steelix, Stone Edge should be around average damage (unless Onix's stats are way worse than Steelix's), which should barely fail to 2HKO the only somewhat frail Rahal.  So Onix 3HKOs.  Can Rahal buff -> OHKO back?  His regular physical doesn't even make average damage post-buff, but it is hitting a 4x weakness, but it's *physical* water so it's hitting Onix's good defense, so it might well FAIL TO OHKO WHEN HITTING A 4X WEAKNESS.  I think Onix might win anyway.

Low Heavy:

Aldelbert Steiner (FF9) vs Marle (CT) - Marle's bag of tricks is better than Steiner's.  He's getting one turn not confused, and that's it.

Shame:

Alfred Schroedinger (WA3) vs Spiritmaster (BD)
Alenia (S5) vs Jogurt (SF1) - I...  I honestly don't know.  I'm kneejerking.
Rahal (S5) vs Onix (PKMN) - A trained soldier loses to an interesting rock formation.  This is sad.

Rahal (S5) vs Onix (PKMN)

Onix has 52% Steelix's attack stat (this is true of all Gens) and post-True Flowing Rahal deals 1.36x PC HP to Onix after factoring in the W4. To make matters worse, Steelix's best damage is Iron Tail... which does -not- have STAB on Onix, so the damage drops even further. 45 base Attack is simply awful, gen 4 Onix quite possibly can't even 4HKO Rahal of the 0.84 pdur. At most it avoids being OHKOed after a Harden, but that's hardly enough, since two Hardens won't stave off a 2HKO post-flowing and uh where is Onix even -attacking- here? Attempting Rock Polish => Harden accomplishes the same thing effectively as well. For Onix to win, it's RBY or bust.

Jo'ou: Which is why I mentioned Stone Edge, which *does* have STAB for Onix (but doesn't for Steelix), and I believe has the same base power as Iron Tail (stat topic had 44 for Stone Edge, 66 for Iron Tail, so swap 'em).  So that isn't an issue, at least.

Losing 50% of Steelix's damage would be bad times though and could lose the 3HKO which would indeed be bad times for Onix..

Am I missing something obvious?

Quote
Iron Tail (15): 67 Steel type physical damage, 30% chance of lowering target’s defense by 1 level, 75% accuracy, 53 average damage
Stone Edge (5): 44 Rock type physical damage, 12.5% Critical hit rate, 80% accuracy, 39 average damage

44*1.5 = 66.  So swap Steel typing for Rock and Stone Edge would have 66 damage, Iron Tail 44 damage, so Stone Edge doesn't suck (except for its crappy number of charges).

This is before taking into account Onix's apparently worse stats than Steelix of course, but that's Onix's problem not Stone Edge's.

Godlike:

Ghaleon (Lunars) vs Hugo Hewitt (WA4): MT damage? Yeah, he's good.
TimeLord (SaGa) vs Orgulla (XS2)
Red Fiend (Lunar:EBC) vs Yuna (FFX)
Zophar (Lunar:EBC) vs Reicher (MK2): Doesn't take a turn to set up his 'remote' damage dealing!

High Heavy:

Chris Lightfellow (S3) vs Lyon (S5): Silence is death.
Celes Chere (FF6) vs Layna (SN): Not OHKOd, Status.
Lulu (FFX) vs Ryu (BoF2): Thats gonna leave a mark.
Killer (SH3) vs Rameriz (SoA): I suppose?

Low Heavy

Rune Walsh (PS4) vs Grunzford (SN)
Aldelbert Steiner (FF9) vs Marle (CT)
Yosuke Hanamura (Pers4) vs Alfina de Pamela (G3): Armageddon and stuff?
Kresnik Ahtreide (WA4) vs Rei (BoF3): I think his damage is too much after Speed/Weretiger?

Middle:

Tear Grants (TotA) vs Roger Huxley (SO3)
Argilla (DDS) vs Ulrika Mulberry (MK2)
Gaff Gafgarion (FFT) vs Ramza Beoulve (FFT): PC form works.
Lilnia (FE6) vs Tony (WA4)
Shame:

Millie (S2) vs Doll (SaGa)
Alfred Schroedinger (WA3) vs Spiritmaster (BD)
Alenia (S5) vs Jogurt (SF1)
Rahal (S5) vs Onix (PKMN)

Aldelbert Steiner (FF9) vs Marle (CT): Marle overcomes another knight with status tricks.

Gaff Gafgarion (FFT) vs Ramza Beoulve (FFT): Not enough time to Scream into killing range.  Hilarious how this match echoes most players' experience the first time at Lionel Castle gates.
