Godlike:
Uryu (MK2) vs Kanji's Shadow (Pers4)- I will second the bafflement here. Both Kanji and Uryu need a charge up turn for the big damage, but Uryu's is slightly better and is MT (so bye to the support quickly). Uryu probably had the durability edge as well thanks to halving damage. Uryu is also faster. Uryu also has better non charging damage (and while Kanji needs to charge to get better long run damage, Uryu is better not charging). I don't really see Kanji having any real edge here.
Conjurer (BD) vs Wraith (VP1)
Elc (AtL2) vs Cid Raines (FF13)- Uh...Cid is a headache, but one that I generally find I don't respect since it's not that hard to completely avoid the nasty part in game. But worth noting:
--Defensive Stance: No credit for this. This is basically Cid doing nothing forever and counting on Doom kicking in. Guess what, with 30-50 PC HP under this stance, it gives him way, way, way too much credit. It also better cut stagger damage 90%. If it doesn't, then this is a great way for him to lose in game as he wants to get to the evil HP point as you will never die above it
--Defensive Stance Part 2: So it seems like we agree that people should be able to bust through the evil stage if they have a lot of damage...but...if you allow Defensive Stance, then even Zophar can't do it one hit at the higher HP respect. Yes, 30 PC HP damage or something, and it's not enough.
--Divide: Works on far nastier tank bosses than Cid (Hi Dark One). If you don't immune it for a specific reason, I don't see why it wouldn't work.
Basically I see this happening: Elc opens with cutting off 27% of Cid's life. He then uses his physical to chip slowly down to 60%. When he's near, he casts Might Mind, uses Divide, and cuts Cid down to about 30% of his HP. At this point, Cid's options are:
--Seraphic Ray: about 5HKO damage
--Attack/KnockDown: about 3HKO damage, triggers Counters
--Turn 3 Deprotect/Shell
--Turn 4 Daze
Now, if you don't see Seraphic Ray's dispel dispelling Invincible, then this is super clear cut. Regardless for me, unless there is proof otherwise, I see Invincible as trumping Dispel, so that makes it easy. If not, it depends on where you see Cid's HP to some degree.
High Heavy:
KOS-MOS (XSs) vs
Arc (AtL2)Hugo (S3) vs Wakka (FFX)
Jessica Albert (DQ8) vs
Claude Kenni (SO2)- Claude OHKOs if you factor in recharge times, so that makes it easy. Sleep...apparentally is not good in DQs? Am I mixing up DQs? I know it's better on bosses that can double act.
White Fiend (Lunar:EBC) vs
Dehuai (SH1)- Um...White Fiend does have more damage...but...holy crap, the durability split is huge. White Fiend basically has about 2 PC HP. Dehaui has 4000 HP where your PCs do 115 average damage (and both topics for SH 1 are pretty similar on damages). That's 4.6 PC HP. White Fiend has about 50% damage. Even if you say that Dehaui can only always just use 1 part of his physical, his best damage still does 32% damage. A 50% damage edge is not overcoming that durability edge.
Low Heavy:
Etward Dysler (MK2) vs Momo (BoF3)
Tiki (FE13) vs
Pamela Ibis (MK1)Heinkel (BD) vs Red Mage (FF3)

Middle:
Luna (Lunar:SSSC) vs
Jeane (Suikos)Fred Maximillian (S3) vs
Vivi Ornitier (FF9)Palom (FF4) vs Hojo (FF7)- Eh...this probably comes down to back row versus front row. For Palom's sake here, makes sense to at least hold in some back row.
