Fuck this entire season - it's a mockery of football. It's only designed to reward the cappuccino sipping, cheating apologist yuppie bandwagon fans that compose the Patriots fandom. Every interesting story dies out in favor of giving the Patriots a miraclous season and an easy opponent that doesn't have what it takes to threaten them in the Super Bowl. May I honestly ask why? I've seen a few people make this remark throughout the playoffs (usually after a New England win >_>) and I have to wonder how much of a football fan you were initially if you let a single season kill your interest (unless that season was a strike-shortened one or one where multitudes of players were busted for illegal performance-enhancing drugs or something).

Normally I'm content to let this sort of person whine their way to the bank (one less fraud fan to deal with!), but I respect you a hell of a lot more than anyone else I've seen "give up" on football, so I want to hear the rationale.

This looks to be the most boring slaughter ever. See, the Packers can play when they're on, it's genuinely entertaining to watch them. The Giants are a comedy of errors in motion and it's mind-numbing that they've lucked their way this far. Meanwhile, with the media hype ALONE the Patriots deserved a big loss in the big game, one that Eli couldn't pull off even with divine intervention. In short, in order to hand them their perfect season giftwrapped we get the most boring game ever rather than a real match between a rejuvinated legend and a seeming team-of-destiny.

Well I meant in this particular season. The outcome has been decided even before the battle began (as Ziggy would say!). I'll be back next year, cheering for... someone. <_< I don't watch football with any real team that I root for or anything, so my main interest is the objective competition of the sport, for the most part. And a dominating team kind of hurts that competition.

Rookie TE Kevin Boss is going to catch every one of Eli's TD passes, AND run a fumble in for a TD or something and grab the MVP obviously... or not. Boss is the only player in the NFL from my college right now, so at least I can technically root for him and not Eli since... go figure the Giants are also one of my 5 least favorite NFL teams. (Pats, Lions, Giants, Dolphins, and... shit if I know.)
