I hope you got good and drunk after the game, Rob.

On a somehow more pathetic note than the Packers's disgraceful playoff exit, Jim Fassel looks to have won the Redskins Head Coaching job. He's replacing both Al Saunders and Gregg Williams as well. Sorry Dune.

I really wish that I'd actually cared about the teams enough to actually bother to watch it, after how good of a game I've heard it was T_T

Eli Manning is EPIC WIN GET or something now.

Really great game to watch, on both sides of the ball. GG, Pats.

This was an epic Superbowl.  3 lead changes in the 4th quarter, game winning drive, the correct team winning, etc.

Definately a top 5 Superbowl in terms of awesomeness of games and top probably 3 in upsets.

Damned good game.  Second only to Superbowl 25 (also a Giants win!) of ones I've watched.

Didn't see that coming. Awfully strange, though. Giants fell apart in the post-season for the past three years straight before this. Now their opponents fuck up hard.

Patroits have been on auto-pilot since the Baltimore game anyway, this isn't tooooo surprising. A welcome result nontheless.
Don't think of it as a novel. Think of it as a chance to retroactively win every argument you have ever walked away from.

sucks the Pats lost, but that was one hell of a game.

seriously, though, I don't think it's possible to overstate how much that hurt all of us from New England.  The timing with super tuesday reminds us of the other sport we do so well in but lose in the end: presidential politics.  That superbowl was like Kerry, Tsongas, Dukakis, and Kennedy (Ted, that is) all rolled into one.

Not to mention that now they suspect you've been cheating since 2002.

Wouldn't put it pass BB!  Mainly speculation for now, should be fun to see how it actually plays out.  Regardless, this year I seriously doubt they could have pulled off cheating after getting caught, so their shoulda been perfect season would have been legit.  They blew it flat out.

Heya Mep, see that DA made the pro bowl now that Brady's sitting out?

You don't come under investigation by the NFL for that. Also, Tony Dungy doesn't storm off the field when he loses the game like he's a fucking five-year-old, unlike a certain alliterative sack of shit I can name.

Yeah, fairly cool, although the ProBowl bores me and I still won't watch it.  I'd much rather just see him go to the playoffs next year like he should have this year!

uh, yeah, you do.  they didn't get caught, but the NFL has investigated it at other teams' requests.  or maybe they didn't do it.  point is, it's stupid to speculate about that kind of stuff.  If you wanna go all New York Post and get your panties in a bunch about it, go right ahead.  Try to pretend you would still care about it if the Patriots were a bad team.

"Of course, the Redskins would be thrilled if Zorn can achieve even half of what Gibbs did in his first term: four Super Bowl appearances in 12 seasons"

NFC isn't THAT bad.  Redskins were quite possibly the worst team in NFL history I've seen make the playoffs.  Doubt a coach turns things around enough for them to even grab 9 wins again next year.
