What Games are you playing 2016?

SO5 has PS3 version, so no excuse.
But since it is still not as bad as Langrisser Re:, it won't cover your bad game list.
SO5 is more of a victim of "Square don't give enough budget to anything that's not FF, KH, or phone games" syndrome, to the point they are literally copy pasting things from SO3.

Did they copy the basic battle system? Because that would be awesome since SO 3 had a far better battle system than any other ARPG that I've played.

I do, I pruchased the limited box too.
The battle system is a half backed version of SO3, I have no idea why they didn't copy and paste it all. There is no MP kill, there cost on the death blows are lenient, and the guards aren't as effective. So the game ends up kinda spammy. Probably an attempt to make the game less stressful to appeal to wider audience.
But character wise, a couple of characters are literally the same people from SO3 in different skin (and some are partially SO4 copy). Fidel is almost identical to Fate to the point of funny. He has identical character motion and death blow set from Reflective Stress to Shotgun Bolt to Vertical Air Raid to Strayer's Void to Iseria Blast.
But I should mention this. The plos this time is still SO4 level bad, in an otaku pandering way.

FE:Conquest

Just gotten up to the choice.  Definitely still FE writing, but the setup's pretty sweet in spite of that.  I am amused though, despite their dad being a colossal bag of dicks, all of the Nohr royalty is pretty cool.  Meanwhile, Takeru's kinda a jerk.  I mean, I can kinda get why he doesn't care for Corrin.  Given the things they believe about Nohr, and given what I've seen of King Jerkface, I can buy some kind of heavy indoctrination.  But the way he treats Azura, just ain't no excuse for that.

I'll admit, the game has managed to sell me on why Corrin would chose the Nohr path.  Sure, she's got some legitimate grievances with the king, but there's some real bonds between Corrin and all of the siblings.  Specifically, I like the friendship between Xander and Corrin, and since Xander feels like the crown prince, I could see backing him up under the idea that a) betraying them would be a pretty major step, and b) when the current king croaks, things are gonna get a lot better.

Fallen London - I am torn between writing a book and playing the Great Game.

I like this enough I thought about putting some money into it since it has a subscription service (how I prefer to pay for games than smaller microtransactions more frequently.)

Price points about 5x what I would like to pay and easily 2x over what I would pay.

Sigh.  F2P economics.

I am under the sea.  In a mythical courtroom.  And Edgeworth showed up just because he wanted us all to know how utterly fabulous he is.  Frankly, there are some kinda fabulous people on my team, but they all need to hang their heads in shame before him.

I will also admit I am amused at just how into the Wrightverse courtroom drama Saya gets.  I swear, the entire reason she's here is because she wanted to get in on the courtroom shenanigans, and it was worthwhile to her to put her evil schemes on hold in order to do that.

The fate choices are also mostly unobtrusive, but I don't think I can quite finish my aunt's storyline unless I pay, which is pretty BS

Pokemon Picross - So I've been playing this too!  So, instead of moving along with when the Legendaries unlock, after I unlocked Zone 9...  I went back and got Zone 6.  Ice Pokemon abound!

Plus, to Grefter, a bunch of saboteur rats in a box with a "This is a cat" label on it, because I was mad he refused my invitation to talk about my nightmares.

I've read what happens when a cat is passed to you on the net and the results are pretty funny. Did you know that you can sometimes have critical failures and critical successes in this game? Both are REALLY COOL with Pass the Cat



Dark Souls 3: Pyromancy build. My god are you screwed if you play a pyro and miss the smouldering lake.
Pyromancy is worse than in old Souls, but Great Chaos Fire Orb is pretty good. Everything else blows, except the two basic "launch a fireball"spells you use before getting Great Chaos Fire Orb. I somtimes use Vestiges because it's highly cathartic, otherwise that's it! Why is balance so bad?

I am doing an always embered playthrough, and, there are thankfully not too many invaders. Last time it happened I actually had a blue sentinel come help me! For the first time since I've started Souls, I think.

I have tried going all magic estus and relying on miracles, but all the healing spells I've gotten have been abysmal. Like, 15% of your health bar, takes super long to use.

Blue Sentinels/Darkmoon Blades are actually pretty reliable in DS3. I almost always get help when I have an invader. (I don't think this triggers vs. Watchdogs and Aldrich Faithful, though.) This is probably due to people trying to get platinum and the miracle trophy being dependent on that covenant (and farming the covenant item being completely horrible). I can still never ever get a hit myself trying to run either of those covenants, though.

Anyway I thought I was done trying new builds after Quality finished (spoilers this is really damn good in DS3), but apparently I hadn't met my really stupid ideas quota yet because now I'm running daggers only.

It's still more practical than faith build, though.

Also Fenrir my cat was really really unhappy to meet me. Thanks.

Dark Souls 3: I did the SUPER LENGTHY Sieg____ of Catarina questline. It's a very aggravating quest, you have to do a few obscure things and go out of your way a few times.

I then entered the Yhorm boss room with Sieg for the final showdown.
I rushed straight to the Storm Ruler and equipped it. Went back to Yhorm. Sieg was dead.

I would but you get all the pussy.  I haven't got one.  I might spend too much time trying to get laid.  Currently burning turns on a 10% chance at a three way with a Curate(priest type) who is probably a Satan and his sister.  You can read poetry with them, the Curate will cry and then burn the handkerchief.
