Cmdr: Food service industry tends to be more hands on with applications than other places. One of the things I enjoyed about that field is that 90% of the hiring bullshit you don't deal with.

We are hoping it's a dinosaur but doctors are really reluctant to confirm sarupod offspring for some reason? We will probably find out the gender. Neither of us cares what it is but it turns out it's really difficult to relate to a parasite so hopefully giving it a name and treating it like a person we haven't met yet will make it easier.

Yes, we're still going to DLCon.

I am not sure how one does a nerdy baby shower because for SOME REASON that party is still firmly in the clutches of little old ladies who want to drink wine and giggle about how awful your life is going to be when baaaaaaaaabby arrives. Lucky for me, I don't have any little old ladies in my family (and neither does Andrew) so we get to experiment!

We will throw a party in October/November for that stuff but I'd like to bring a cake or something to DLCon. I can't drink so constant celebration is the only way to keep existential terror at bay.

I feel like cake and video games that involve babies is a good start for a nerdy baby shower.

Also, my present to the baby is totally going to be "Designing its cutie mark", so tell me what kind of nerdy/adorable thing you'd want drawn-then-printed on a T-shirt/onesie. I only have like a week to get this done before DLCon now, it seems.

Cinnamon is an OK name for a dog but maybe a bit too off the mark for a baby name
