Middle

Barret Wallace (Final Fantasy VII) vs Stocke (Radiant Historia)

Light

White Wizard (Final Fantasy) vs Aguro (Lufia and the Fortress of Doom)

Non-Traditional Team Match

So I thought about doing a Team Match, then I remembered, oh yeah, i don't run a week 2!  Doesn't work does it.  Instead we'll do...

Left Side (Katrina, Ominas, Barret, White Wizard) vs Right Side (Jade, Geddoe, Stocke, Aguro)

Gosh that looks stacked.  Let's also do...

CK's Predicted Traditional Line-up!

Katrina, Geddoe, Barret, White Wizard vs Jade, Ominas, Stocke, Aguro

Okay yeah Katrina is really good with MT damage helpers.  Eh, let's post!

Katrina Liane Elesius (Wild ARMs XF) vs Jade (Breath of Fire)
How unfortunate for the disaster guardian that lightning is like the one element she doesn't resist.  This is actually pretty close to me anyway since I don't let Jade spam BoltX, but I think he lives to turn 3 for 2 blasts, which is enough.  Or, that's what I thought before I remembered Fright Knight spam being an auto-win against those who have crappy MT and are slower than Kat.  Yeah I'm reminded that she's kinda Yuna-level obnoxious even for Godlike, you can't win even when you 'should'.  Although I guess it's vaguely possible the damage lines up so perfectly that Jade chips around the limit?  Eh, I'll be happy to be argued in that direction, but don't feel like looking into it now.  It's also possible that Chill, despite being like a 3HKO that's resisted into a 6HKO, has enough gas to finish Kat off....  probably comes down to how high Kat's HP is seen as.  You know, editing out my vote, will look at this will a less-sleepy head later.
EDIT: See below.

Ominas Crowe (Bravely Default) vs Geddoe (Suikoden III)
Yeah, in retrospect, Ominas not really fit for Heavy once the super-durability hype was noted.

Barret Wallace (Final Fantasy VII) vs Stocke (Radiant Historia)
ANOTHER MATCH where Stocke gets to Dead Fencer some fools.  I do think the stat topic is way too harsh with its interp of Missing Score as useless, but eh.  EDIT: Right, Barret just won't attack into it (empty healing does not fill the Mana Gauge).  Okay, I consider Switch anyway, and would encourage Switch at least as a natural tiebreaker to stalled out matches, so switch -> murder on a triple turn or something....  except that FF7 limits likely interrupt that.  Hmm, this match might be a drawn stall-fest after all, with Barret winning the usual tiebreaker for such nonsense.  Will hold off on this one as well.  EDIT:Yeah can't see a reason not to tiebreak for Barret.  Weird.

Katrina, Geddoe, Barret, White Wizard vs Jade, Ominas, Stocke, Aguro

Kill Stocke first (powerful revival).  The other team would like to kill WW but I think she survives to throw a single buff up, and that alone is probably decisive.  Geddoe has MT damage, etc.

Left Side (Katrina, Ominas, Barret, White Wizard) vs Right Side (Jade, Geddoe, Stocke, Aguro)

This is closer - will have to look up Geddoe's spell charging speeds.  If he can resolve some good MT in time Team Jade might have a shot, but there's still the problem of Katrina threatening to go super-fast, kill everyone but Jade, then beat Jade with the Fright Knight summoning spam strategy mentioned above.

EDIT: See below.

Godlike

Katrina Liane Elesius (Wild ARMs XF) vs Jade (Breath of Fire): Katrina would probably take this if her elemental resistance didn't explicitly miss lightning. The speed at low HP makes the offence comparable / even slightly better, but Jade wins in earlier stages of the fights, and is more durable too. EDIT: Abstain until I can look up Fright Knights, and consider their impact on the fight properly. Sadly I suspect their raw stats may matter for once!

Heavy

Ominas Crowe (Bravely Default) vs Geddoe (Suikoden III): Just too much more durable. At -worst- Ominas might need four Fires to do this, but he gets those in three turns and Geddoe can't even 3HKO him with Hammer of Raijin, never mind he doesn't get three of those.

Middle

Barret Wallace (Final Fantasy VII) vs Stocke (Radiant Historia): He needs to avoid dropping Barret belo 43%, and G-Fire does 45%. There... does seem to be a three-action combo he can do get to around 56% damage done. Really shaky, but I think this is the right vote for me. Obviously the same limit scaling which defeated Typhlosion also defeats Stocke, though.

Heavy

Ominas Crowe (Bravely Default) vs Geddoe (Suikoden III) - so it goes.

Middle

Barret Wallace (Final Fantasy VII) vs Stocke (Radiant Historia) - as above, so below

Light

White Wizard (Final Fantasy) vs Aguro (Lufia and the Fortress of Doom) - some combination of evade buffing and healing probably, not going to look at this one too hard

White Wizard (Final Fantasy) vs Aguro (Lufia and the Fortress of Doom)- Faster. Non DoS has a little more trouble but I still think she wins there.

Pools:

Ramirez, Psaro, Carbuncle, Chelle, Geddoe

Reaction: Geddoe stays down. Ominas I'm abstaining on,  need to refresh my memory there.

Cloud, Knight(BD), Barret

Reaction: Knight>Cloud>Barret. Very straight forward.

Hope, Yushis, Squall, Henry, White Wizard, Aguro

Reaction: WW up, Yushis down. Yushis doesn't get a single win here among the middles and loses to WW, so this is easy. Aguro also gets housed by the field outside of maybe Yushis, and that's just a battle for 5th.

I can't find my copy of XF. If anyone can pull some stats on the Fright Knights (they have the same stats as the ones initially on the field IIRC, so just loading a final battle save should work) that would be very useful. I'll hold off on voting on Godlike, and the team match for that matter, until I've seen those.

Pools, for now!

Psaro, Carbuncle, Chelle, Ominas, Geddoe

Chelle probably outslugs everyone, though Psaro could be a problem. Also not sure about Psaro/Ominas for that matter. Doesn't matter too much. The three bosses take out Geddoe without too much trouble.

Geddoe vs. Carbuncle is a battle for last, and one I think Geddoe just barely wins. Carbuncle can do 1.3PCHP before changing forms (and dying horrendously), which kills many PCs, but Geddoe is quite tanky, with around 1.35 mdur or so. He barely survives and thus wins. Since I have to imagine Ramirez can handle both of them, this is Ominas up, Carbuncle down.

Raynie, Cloud, Knight(BD), Lucario, Stocke, Barret

Knight's physical immunity takes him past Cloud, and Super Charge does enough damage to dodge Hammerblow, so that takes care of Barret. Against the mages... none of them can 2HKO her, nor status her through her blockers, and certainly Stocke and Raynie die to buff, Super Charge x2. Lucario, though, is tougher, since it needs three Super Charges to die. So... can Knight survive three Lucario turns while building up the needed BP? Er... yeah almost certainly not, even if you allow Default, Lucario just tosses out a Metal Sound then starts doing near-OHKO magic damage, 1.5 of those (or 2 to me) should kill Knight. 4-1

Unfortunately for Lucario, he's weak to fire and kinda fragile besides. Both Stocke and Raynie one-shot him. Against Barret/Cloud, though, he has mad limit-dodging skillz, and steel typing to protect him from Cloud's physicals in the meantime. 3-2

Stocke outspeeds Raynie, and can block sleep even if you respect that (I do not). He should win from there. He handles Barret this week for me. Cloud... he can't dodge Cross-Slash, though he can block paralysis, and I believe he still outspeeds Cloud even if he does (using Snowfire's statusblocker thingy for RH). So he should be able to tank through anything Cloud does, and has damage control to dodge a L3 or something. 4-1

Raynie beats Barret the same way Stocke does. Cloud's trickier since she's more physically frail, still fails to 2HKO Cloud, and is quite possibly slower if she blocks paralysis. 2-3

Cloud can block death so his better physical damage and scarier limits means he's not losing to Barret. 2-3

Barret... is not a Heavy. 0-5

Stocke up, Raynie down. Interesting to see Stocke do this well, just some numbers lining up well for him. If Raynie is allowed sleep to be effective, which I waffle on all the time, she's certainly the better dueller, though still does worse in this pool, because literally everyone here can block sleep!

Hope, Squall, Henry, White Wizard

Could technically vote on Aguro but nah.

The good news for Henry is that Waste 2HKOs Hope even through Shell (and there's no Bardark) and also that a crit will happen before a successful summonstall, even if it takes a long, long time. Also Tomebreaker, he's not dying early. White Wizard can't block dark magic and gets shredded. Against Squall, Nosferatu's draining will let him avoid being one-rounded, then he uses Waste. He has three chances to proc Vengeance, 66% rate, and even one of them kicking in will let him do enough damage to win. 3-0

Hope vs. Squall is tricky. But... no reason Hope can't turtle endlessly, I think. He isn't quite OHKOed turn 1, uses Protect/Haste and then Curasa gives him enough HP to survive the next swing, repeat until limit. He has NE magic so he's not losing to WW. 2-1

Squall is ITE, WW goes boom. 1-2

Nobody I can vote on downgrades, I leave Yushis vs. the two Lights to others.

Guess I'll give Middle to Barret after all, with the usual proviso of "it's actually a draw."

For Godlike..  hmm...  I think I've actually mathed out Kat vs. Jade long ago.  Anwyay, BoltX is ~1.25 PCHP damage to me (arguably should be .40 PCHP damage, but I'm nice like that).  Chill is ~.30 PCHP, resisted to ~.18 PCHP, and his physical is .30 PCHP as well resisted by Kat's defence buff by...  some amount.  Kat's HP is...  3.42 PCHP taken with the stat topic's literal values and scaled against 6 PCs of offense.  Flip side in-game damage should be higher thanks to debuffs, formation arts, etc., AND Kat has her useless HP buffer phase where she doesn't do anything which should probably be thrown out, BUT there's excellent support credit in there too, so who knows.  So yeah, the perfect scenario for Jade is something like Kat is seen as having ~2.7-2.8 PCHP, BoltX -> Physical -> BoltX to chip around the 40% limit.  (Scale this amount upward or downward based on how you see Jade's damage.)  With the naive 3.54 PCHP target value, the limit activates at 1.41 PCHP, so it goes Attack -> Attack -> BoltX -> Attack for (1.25+.3+.3+.3) = 2.15 PCHP damage, except somewhat less thanks to the defence hype, so that should perfectly chip Kat, then BoltX -> spam Chill with Kat at death's door.  (Put the chipping in first, due to Kat getting faster the more damaged she is.)  That would give Kat ~4 rounds of normal offense, and then a 5th & 6th round where she's very fast but also needs to summon a Fright Knight until she's so low that there's no point.  Gonna guesstimate that as around double the number of rounds, so...  12 rounds of .5 PCHP offense for 6 PCHP damage?  That's a whole crapton, but Jade is one of the few duelers who probably survives that.  So Jade might take this after all.

Mix up the numbers to taste, of course.

In the same way, I now think Team Right Side has its team match.  Stocke needs to die first due to revival (and can arguably hand Jade more BoltX turns?) but checking Geddoe's spell speeds, he can probably help ensure White Wizard doesn't see a turn, which is the key thing.
