I'm trying to organize a race relay for 2016 and the date looks to be on March 5th. Most of the details have been wired out. The only thing I'm hoping for is to find extra commentators. Right now, we do have a commentator for every game that is not the runner themselves. But since this is most likely going to be a race relay, I would prefer to have non-runners aid with the commentary since it can be confusing to follow if the runners are doing their own commentary (not to mention distracting). So here's where you can come in to help!
Right now both SH1 and SH: FtNW could use more commentators. To clarify, you do not need to know the route for the game. The only thing really required is that you have played the game so you can help explain some parts in the story (which is skipped so it provides the audience with a frame of reference) and some mechanics, which the DL largely has documentary of anyway. In fact, I suspect it might actually be better if you don't know the route because you can ask questions that might seem obvious to the runners but not the audience. Other than that, there's not too much else. Try having a conversation with the other commentator/chat and don't be an idiot. Share your experiences with the game and have fun. Of course, the time commitment is another issue but partial help is better than no help at all.
If you are interested, let me know! There's a separate topic on SDA on the do's and dont's of commentary if you are really concerned. Ask me any questions you might have regarding this if you are interested.
