Event 1- The Double Dash

A perennial favorite, this time we're jacking up the stakes!  4 karts enter, one takes the victory.  Each cart has two characters, driver and gunner, to race-battle the other karts in this traditional totally-not-Mario-Kart event!

Don Quixote and Petra Venj control the first kart.  I know little about the latter, although I think he comes from the realm of a shooter so that's something.  Don Quixote... well.  Maybe he'll figure out driving.

Tellah and Zatanna take poll 2.  The two magicians come from very different theories of spellcraft, but if Tellah can remember what items he has, and Zatanna can leverage knowing what a Kart is, they could be competitive.

Ashton and Navi take third.  While Navi joining forces with Ashton's existing annoying companion problem is probably funny to some sadistic god out there, I'm not sure how this team translates to the game at hand.  I suppose Navi's talent IS locking on to your enemies, so if Ashton can keep them on the road they have a fighting chance.

Lastly we have Donkey Kong and Sokka.  DK is in his element, in that he's literally been a cast member in that origin series we're pretending not to acknowledge, and Sokka once managed to boomerang someone to death while being shot at from behind stone pillars. 

Event 2- Pageantry

The most stereotypical of contests, parading our poor victims in front of judges who determine their value based on attractiveness.  Or so the theory goes.  After all, they are but human, and it’s not who is most attractive, but who can best sway the judges, no?  For this iteration, rank the contestants in order- the winner and runner up will advance to the next round.

Chewbacca is a cuddly individual.  Also well known for tearing the arms off people who don’t let him win.
The Falcon is a full fledged super hero.  And as an old woman once said, why do they have to be so good looking?  For times like this, that’s why.
Kaine… well, she’s certainly dressed for the part isn’t she? 
Yamcha the desert bandit rocks the rough and tumble scar faced bad boy look pretty well.  Of course, he’s also among the best known jobbers in the universe.
Vladimir Putin is best known for being shirtless and doing MANLY THINGS.  And of course, many judges who have failed to appreciate his manliness have had… unfortunate incidents.
Jigglypuff?  Well, who knows, maybe just putting the judges to sleep will have some application.
Wilbel certainly will have the right attitude for this, and she’s probably been entangled in such shenanigans in her travels.  But then, can she leverage those assets in such a competitive field?
Neo is the One.  But can breaking the laws of physics really translate to the very soul of another human being?

Event 3- Four-way Quadrathalon

Why yes that is a dumb name, thanks for noticing.  Anyways, this is a relay, in which each competitor has a separate mini-event, after which they pass to the next teammate.  Thus the foursome with the shortest combined time wins.  Each team will have to delegate a member to tackle a Sprint, a Swim, a Shooting Range, and Rubik’s Cube
John Watson, Demitri Maximoff, Parline, and Scott Shelby make up Team 1.
Cole Phelps, Undyne, Bender, and Darkwing Duck make up the second team.
Rose, Harry Dresden, Malcom Reynolds, and Cervantes are Team 3.
And rounding up team four we have Mishima, Freddy Krueger, Chun Li, and Samus Aran.

The Double Dash
Sokka and Donkey Kong take double dash easy. DK can drive a kart and Sokka is a specialist with janky ranged weapons.

Pagentry
1-Jigglypuff takes the gold. Can't beat the experience in the Contest Spectacular, uses moves at the right time to impress the judges and rattle the competition.
2-Falcon takes 2nd place. Looks good normally, and pulls out his old military duds for that Man In Uniform effect.
3-Kaine can take 3rd, sure. She looks like she'd be a natural on the catwalk.
4-Wilbel takes 4th, she seems the most likely to come up with a cute and colorful costume to win over judges.
5-Yamcha takes 5th, ruggedly jobbing his way to the top of the bottom half.
6-Chewbaca falls in 6th, RPGDL judges are not impressed by threats of arm tearing violence.
7-Neo doesn't bother showing up, just tries to hack the results but it doesn't work so last place it is.
8-Vladamir Putin is disqualified for attempting to bribe/threaten the judges.

Hmm. If Cole can run reasonably fast, I think his team has this, but I dunno Cole so need someone to weigh in. Darkwing can shoot, Bender can solve a rubiks cube with robot cheating powers, and Undyne has a huge lead over anyone else in swimming. Alternatively Darkwing can take the sprint if Cole can shoot well enough to take that event. No vote yet though.
EDIT: I've been informed that Bender probably can't(or won't) solve a rubik's cube. Welp.
EDIT EDIT: Fuck it, I'm sure Praline can do something here and Demitri/Watson will rack up a decent lead on the Track/Cube.

Ashton basically auto-loses, fairies can neither drive nor shoot items, merely offer helpful advice.
I don't know Destiny, but Petra doesn't sound like an ace pilot, and Don Quixote is going to drive the kart into a huge colorful windmill obstacle.  3rd place.  EDIT: Apparently Petra was an ace pilot.  This is close but Quixote is still not very helpful here, so it might be more of a 2nd place upgrade than a 1st place upgrade.
Zatanna / Tellah are presumably fine at this, 2nd place.
DK & Sokka, however, an actually good team.  DK drives and Sokka has lots of experience throwing items at nearby people while perilously perched on airships, karts, etc.

Kaine is a natural at this.  Neo's got the proper male model aesthetic.  Wilbell is more "cute" than "sexy" but sure it can fly.  Wilson's a little too military but is handsome, sure.  Yamcha & Putin are okay, but the evil liberal fashion media are not helping Putin here.  Non-humans are probably in trouble, although at least there are Pokemon shows for Jiggly to get some practice with.  Chewie has the temperment more for a weapons shop or spaceship repair joint than a runway, and may possibly attack the judges if provoked.

Shelby has personal experience swimming in high-stress situations, although I screwed that QTE up.  Still probably okay.  Maximoff does the sprint (vampires can be fast, right?), Praline has a song about love in the crossfire which is basically shooting practice, Watson handles the Rubik's Cube.  This team is decent but unexceptional.

The team with Bender has Bender on it, which is kind of a problem, and Darkwing Duck isn't in his element either.  Undyne is probably okay at swimming from her name?!  Yeah, bad marks here, this team is likely last.

Team 3 is mostly competent people + Cervantes.  Obv have Malcom do the shooting (he's authentically good at it) and Dresden do the Cube (magicians, puzzle-solving, possibly this is even canon, I forget).  Cervantes wears heavy armor so swimming is probably a bad idea, so I guess he gets to hustle it out in the sprint with his bad movement.  Rose is probably fine at swimming even if it doesn't utilize Dragoon wings the best.  This is a solid team with a flaw

Team 4...  does Samus have the Gravity Suit yet?!  Important to know since her swimming capabilities are quite different!  (Or, for that matter, the speed booster if she does the sprint.)  But...  this team has like nobody good at the Cube.  MAYBE Krueger but he has real problems physically handling the damn thing and not destroying it.  If you have nobody good at cubing, you basically lose because it takes a long time for beginners to figure out WTF, and they might fail to complete it altogether.  Samus does some puzzle solving so put her there at worst, but that seems a waste.  Mishima is dead weight.  Yeah this team wants to have Samus doing all 4 tasks basically, she can shoot/swim/run/puzzle.

Okay looking at this... Wilson and Neo seem really hard to top here, Kaine has a shot at it if she keeps her mouth shut and doesn't piss off the judges but I doubt she manages to that, this seems like the exact sort of thing that'd piss her off.  Putin's decent at this but not up to the attractiveness level of the first three and I dunno probably would get caught doing something that pisses off the judges as well.  That leaves... Wilbell and the obvious scrub tier, so...

Slightly outclasses Sam Wilson's ability to fly in. Unfortunately, let the Wookiee win doesn't really work here with such overpowered opponents.

Team 4... ouch. Chun-Li has those legs for swimming OR sprinting. Samus aces the shooting range. Krueger goes with the Rubic's Cube (I almost nommed Pinhead in this spot. THAT woulda been funny), and Mishima is certainty the weak link, but the other three are absolute beasts. Mishima the Human Garbage holds back three incredibly solid people. Alternately, depending on how you interpret powers, Freddy changes into a fish and competes against Undyne...

Team 3 is really strong though. Mal shoots, Harry Rubic's Cubes (unless he heavily magics, but he's still probably best here). Rose can do whichever Cervantes is weaker at very well.

Team 1 has Watson for the Cube, probably the strongest person out of any team for it. Demitri can probably win sprinting with vampire speed, Shelby shoots... Praline might lose to Mishima in a footrace or swimming? But Watson and Demitri might beat their competitors by even more than Mishima beats her.

Team 2 has the best swimmer in Undyne. Bender... who knows how he'll treat this. He can get sufficiently riled up to be competitive. Can probably handle the footrace. Darkwing Duck... has comical mishaps happen to him as much as he is accurate for the shooting, but he's their best bet here even though Cole was a Marine, since solving a Rubic's Cube for him... Cole isn't a bad Rubic's person, but this detective is outclassed by Watson.

Think I'm gonna wait to vote on this one to see other peoples' arguments.

EDIT: So it was brought up that it really comes down to shooting and rubic's cube, since a sprint gives only about 10-20 seconds advantage, swimming maybe a minute or two. So let's rank the most likely competitors in their events... as well as where they'd probably be going in.

Team 1: Scott Shelby (3)/John Watson (1)
Team 2: Darkwing (4)/Cole (4)
Team 3: Mal (2)/Harry (2)
Team 4: Samus (1)/Freddy (3)

Team 2 seems out right off. While Samus I think gives Team 4 a legitimately good head-start on the cube, Mal isn't a slouch. Shelby... didn't give the impression of anything other than a mediocre shot, though he's at least trained. If the shooting contest is at all difficult, I think it puts Team 1 behind the 8-ball.

Harry seems like the type to have done a cube in his childhood, though it's potentially one that frustrated him. Hmm. I literally think everyone ends up going into this even, so there's no other head starts to consider. Although Harry might fanboy a little over Freddy. And Watson. Does it distract him? Maybe. I give Freddy credit as a pun-crackin' dream demon, but he's slower. I think it really ends as a coinflip between 3 and 4. And the coin says...

Ugh. It feels dirty to even imply Mishima is a winner.

Actually, how does "shortest combined TIME" and shooting range interact? Shooting I generally think of as an event by score, not time.

Does a high score reduce time from your combined total? Do missed shots ADD time so a perfect run basically counts as 0 seconds? Or is it simply "do it over and over again until you pass x benchmark" so that failing scores on shooting will really set the team back?

If it's that last one, then this event hinges almost entirely on Cube and Shooting. Because while Mishima might be way behind the likes of Undyne or Dimitri in the races, that's nothing compared to how long it takes to solve a cube, or having to repeat the shooting range until you win when others can get it right in one pass.

Even if Petra is good at this... hard to top DK/Sokka. This is definitely an event where having two good-to-great members is better than having one outstanding and one bad... and I can't see Don Quixote being worth anything here. DK due to experience is great at either role, and Sokka just happens to be a good item-user too, so yeah.

Also, you just know that Ashton/Navi are gonna get hit by every stray green shell.

Team 4 feels the most interesting.  Samus is excellent at both shooting and sprinting (Speed Booster).  Chun Li is competent at shooting as an Interpol officer.  But Freddy looks like he sucks at everything.  No comment on Mishama.

Team 2 has Bender who drags the team down.  They're not winning this.

Comes down to Team 1 and team 3.  I mentally placed Shelby as the swimmer and Praline as the shooter.  Demitri can zip about faster than his in-game appearance would suggest because fighting game balance.  Who knows what his capabilities are when not holding back.  Don't know if tuning any of his teammates into women would help at all; there's definitely no gain in feminizing Watson.  Feels close enough to pick either so nyah.
