Yeah there is about 4 or 5 outcomes to the Korriban instructor stuff.  It is probably one of the best planets in the game to be honest.  Beats the pants off frelling Kashyyk to be sure.

Wild Arms XF: Act 3.

The game is progressing nicely. Plot, gameplay, and music are doing an excellent job of keeping me entertained. I feel like I'm going through WA4 again, except battles tend to be a lot longer. Nature of the beast, I suppose.

Incidentally, its starting to look like VirginiaxMaya is being usurped as the biggest WA yuri pairing.

Curses! Why must this game exclusively be on a system I don't own?

I am the sadness.

Has PSP emulation gotten off the ground yet? What kind of system would it require?

SH3 - Beaten. Lady freaking -rules-. I was kinda worried that she'd be a pushover with the sidequesting I did, but nooooooooooo. I screwed up on a combo and let the Malice Unbral get a turn with stock, which prompted Lady into "Lady mock puny full HP party". Before I knew it, everybody ate about 800 damage without much fuss and that was that. Then, I took my gloves off and had Slim Mask of ? have a little talk with her. 700 damage Hail crests are fun, but I still had to keep my eyes wide open. Awesome final fight, and I loved the scene leading to it and after it. Got the good ending, too - what the hell, Malice Soakers and Gilbert give three billion Soul. Sooooooooo.

Now that the game is over, I think some thoughts are in place.

First, the plot and writing mostly fails, and so does the PC cast. Johnny is really just there, Natan doesn't exist, Shania isn't great as she is and the excess fanservice ruins her already limited character worth. Frank is absolutely infuriating: he's what happens when you try too hard to be funny. Jesus, brazilian geriatric ninja is an outlandish as hell concept as is, it doesn't need fucking oni crotchguards, stupid gimmick swords and fish lanterns. And Frank just acts like a complete clown, making it all the more annoying. The rest of the cast just... doesn't exist past their introductory scenes and arc (this is a freaking pity in the case of Mao and Hilda, since they just -write themselves- otherwise). They pulled off a bunch of potentially hilarious gimmick characters and do nothing with them, which leads to very subpar humor in a fairly humor-toned game. If you care about plot and writing over gameplay, the first half of the game is downright painful because of that. The writers didn't do the spastic stupidity in SH1 (and, in the end, it kinda helps), but they just didn't feel like pulling an effort with the PC cast.

Now, the villains? They're the saving grace of the plot. Lady and Killer is a bizarro take on Alice/Yuri that ends up far more endearing and interesting. Somehow, they made a silent character -work-. The tension between Killer and Gilbert is also fun, although it was kinda wasted, too. But Lady and Killer are the -one- thing that's worthwhile about the plot, and they're cooler than Yuri/Alice due to the rather twisted take they approach. Aruze could actually make love interests cool, what the hell.

So, what does the game have going for it? The gameplay. The gameplay is freaking awesome. The combo/double system allows you a great deal of battle flow manipulation, and it's pretty well-balanced in how enemies can and WILL use it to its fullest just as you can. Since they actually have passable offense to begin with, the quirks of the system makes enemies generally dangerous if you let them get turns - worse yet, turns with stock. It makes battles worth paying attention to, and the boss battles are fun to romp through even when they're not that dangerous (this is rare). And the high-profile fights, like Lady, are absolutely joyous. I did as many sidequests as I did because I really liked the gameplay in general, and they almost always meant more gameplay. So, yeah.

And, really, the plot... isn't as infuriating as SH1. Lady and Killer are far better than anything SH1 could ever dream of (and dear god, they really make a huge mockery of Albert Simon. But then, I consider Albert Simon one of the most poorly, spastically written villains I've ever seen), and the script is actually tolerable when it's not trying humor. SH1, on the other hand, just did -everything- wrong while trying everything. SH3 at least had a bit of focus, and this makes things easier to forgive.

It's just a lot of wasted potential in the writing, sadly. But the gameplay delivers it all, Lady and Killer exist and everything else was just pretty pleasant (although whoever thought a "lol shania has teh titz" joke was a good idea needs a bullet applied to the brain stem. Dearly). It's a pretty bipolar game in a sense, but it's a great gameplay game and that was all I asked after the disaster that was SH1. Probably a 7/10 game, the writing and plot issues are pretty bad in hindsight of the potential for fun the ideas had.

AI: Up to going to Nevalia or whatever its called.  Game's strong point is definitely its humor and character interaction so far!

God Hand: Just beat Elvis...again.  Second fight was even more fun.  This game remains enjoyable and such.

SSBB: Finished SSE, not 100%, but saw the important stuff!

I'll get into a rant about it...later.

Pokemon Ranger Batonnage; Yes, the sequel to Pokemon Ranger I was threatened into doing it. Technically not really an RPG per se, it does have your run-of-the-mill RPG features, so I guess that warrants a space here. Considering that it's very very gimmick-based... Anyway, jus started the game, still in this ranger school place. The two other main characters Rhythmi and Dazzle are... uh, they're fine, though Dazzle tends to piss me off a lot due to his archetypal rival/friend personality >_> I hope I get to graduate part already!!
19:35:58 (trancehime) there's a specific spot in the game that's for item duping

19:39:11 (Sanae) I'd love to dupe a second trancehime.

AW2:  Finished normal campaign.  Beat the final mission on the first try with a B ranking.  Overall campaign rank of S.  Sturm is extremely broken, although I think Caulder edges him out slightly in the ridiculously overpowered department.

BillyvsSnakeman:  Started this.  Fairly amusing, and I like this kind of webgame so I'll probably stick with it.  What villages are the other RPGDLers in?  We need an RPGDL village!

WA:XF:

I'm in the middle of Act 3. The game has broken like a pitiful rag doll before the awe-inspiring might of Nightstalkers, Quicken, Accelerate, Turn Shift, and the offense of Levin/Clarissa/buffed Six Shooters. I feel kind of bad for the enemies, but them's the breaks. It reminds me a lot of FFT, except EVERYONE can be T.G. Cid. I've seen RFX in the 700s on occasion with this setup when 200 is pretty awesome.

Plot isn't something I can comment on, but they certainly do try to keep things moving along.

Fnorder's somewhere else entirely, isn't he?  I didn't even know Gate was playing.  You guys need to give my your names so I can beat you up/get beat up. >_> (Hey, I can beat Soppy!  If the thing chooses Taijutsu. <_<)

There's someone in my village named Gatewalker, so it's either Gate or one big fucking coincidence.

And you might be able to beat me a bit easier now. I just did the Sword of the Reaper mission. Don't think the extra levels from that count in a spar. Oh, also got Chakra Armor recently too.

It did choose Taijutsu a few times and I split with you evenly<G>

EDIT: What the fuck is it with the sword call bullshit? 10 characters for the call and 14 for the name? Shouldn't the call be longer than the name? That makes no fucking sense. I couldn't fit ANYTHING I wanted. Take the Shot, Kill the King and Assassinate all don't fit for a call. Fuck.

I am indeed in Hiro Gama. A DL villiage would be kinda neat, but we just went Epic over here, and I'm not sure I'd want to be moving on just yet.

Also, there's plenty of awesome things you can do with your sword call.

"Huzzah, Balrog!" For example.

Also, I may need one of you to Note Page me in a couple of days. Don't worry, I'd be happy to murder you in return!

My name in game is CapnSneaky , so just ask if you want to be added to my sparring list. We could also team up someday to get people their Arena Special Abilities (Since getting them is positively ridiculous in the first place).

I need to get my own computer hooked up to the internet sometime so I can put on an avatar.  There's a lot of stuff I can't do because of this freaking censor.  For instance, there's no way I can make Jonin from this computer because the censor screws up the game if I try to use Thousand Flying Water Needles of Daeth. >_>  I'm still three levels short and screwing around on the Other Side right now, though.

Appolo Justice: Complete

(Minor Spoilers)

Okay, I had been convinced that Trucey was actually Pearl Fey.  After all, Pearls' father had never been revealed, Trucey's age is exactly how old Pearls would bel, Pearls was left orphaned, Trucey also has brown hair, Trucey shares some of the same fidgets as Pearls (bouncing up and down, for instance; touching her lip thoughtfully for another one).  The name's different, but it's obvious pretty early that Trucey's last name was changed, at least.  It all seemed to fit until the plot starts discussing who Trucey's mother had been (clearly not Morgan Fey).

In fact, the words "Fey" and "Kuran" were never mentioned once, for which I am reasonably grateful.  Not that the fey content in previous PW games had been bad or anything, but it was seriously overused.

Otherwise, I'm expecting Lamoir to die early in AJAA2.  That or become a prossecutor.
